And just like that, someone would appear, seemingly coming out of thin air, though perhaps it was the fact that she suddenly did something useful that made her stand out. She was a mage, by the looks of it, leaning heavily on the six-feet-and-seven-inches tall staff at her side, both hands clasped around the sturdy, black leather grip near the top of the staff, which consisted of a big, blue, rectangular gem, while the stave itself was made from oak wood.
The girl herself couldn't be older than sixteen or seventeen, looking incredibly young and spritely, with lightly tanned skin and big, deep, swirling silver eyes that shone, twinkled, glimmered, and shimmered with a lust for life and childlike excitement for the world, pairing perfectly with her equally as silvery hair. The long, thick, healthy locks were tied into a crown braid (think Dany's hair from GoT), the braid itself draped over her left shoulder, reaching down to her chest. Sharp features made up the rest of her face, her nose adorably upturned and curving gently into her delicate forehead, while her lips were thin and curled into a grin.
There were a few... odd features, though, and they stuck out like sores.
Pointy, elf-like ears protruded from the girl's head, sticking out like knives, each about four inches in length, their underside adorned with colourful gemstones, ranging from rubies to amethysts, carefully set into her skin. Sticking out from just a bit away from her elf ears, the mage had a pair of thick, mighty draconian horns, the dark purple things sticking out a good few inches before curling forwards and slightly down, the ends going straight again. The horns shared their colour with the patch of scales that ran down her jawline and partially covered the middle of her forehead, fading into her hairline. A small freckle sat a little above the right corner of her lips.
Her body was shrouded in a set of simplistic, grey robes, and yet despite her clothes, her curves were undeniable. The girl wasn't the most curvy one out there, of course, but she wasn't the flattest one either; she had a modest bust, really. Furthermore, her body was muscular, brimming with latent power even if it didn't show, all caused by her race. She stood at six-feet-and-one-inch exactly.
It didn't take long at all for a group of bear-things to take notice of her, charging at the poor dragon-elf with loud, boisterous roars, their maws spread. The mage just lightly tapped the bottom of her staff on the floor, sending a shockwave of bright blue light at the creatures, enveloping them, annihilating their very being, devouring everything that made them be, molecules and atoms ripped apart.
Once the wave faded, nothing of the monstrosities was left, while the girl still stood.

azalea stood watching the young dragonelf. She was impressed she only knew a few people that actually cast spell like that all very gifted. Azalea held her staff by her side leaning against slightly while looking the girl over before addressing the young mage. "Impressive young lady you have a lot of talent."says azalea
-
Aria didn't respond with a words, though she did glance over to Azalea with a slight smile playing around her pink lips. She gave a curt nod, before her attention moved back to the situation at hand, the girl slowly starting to move, still leaning heavily on her staff. Whenever she tapped her catalyst on the ground, a blast of blue light annihilated more of the creatures, the young age remaining calm and collected both.
-
Azalea turn her attention back to what remained of the creatures says something in another language she wouldn't recognize as then simply snaps her fingers turning the enemies near her into solid glass then shatters them like it's nothing.
-
Ariawyn started tapping her staff on the ground with a faster interval, the blasts she was sending out starting to surround her, shockwaves moving in a circular shape away from her, evaporating the beasts all around the dragon-elf as she stopped walking. She smirked ever so slightly, not seeming to really put any effort into what she was doing.
-
it wasn't too much longer and the creatures when pretty much dead. Azalea looks around and sees this.
-
Once it was all done and over, Aria groaned silently and to nobody other than herself, the girl still leaning heavily on her staff, almost as if there was something wrong with her legs. She rolled her shoulders, slowly starting to move to Azalea.
-
azalea had sharp eyes so she seen her having trouble with her legs. But she says nothing as she didn't want to be rude pointing it out. She watched her walk towards her.
-
After a whole lot of slightly awkward steps and strained walking, Aria stood before Azalea, likely a tad bigger than her since the Scicylla stood at a whopping 6'1" tall exactly. She gave a slight smile and a curt nod. "Greetings, Ma'am."
-
"Greetings im azalea frost."She says azalea was definitely a smaller build than she was. Azalea had brushed her long away from her face as she looked at before speaking. "So whats your name young lady? "She asks
-
Now that the two were so close, Azalea would notice more details about the little dragon-elf, like her pupils had four points like a star, poking out just enough to be noticeable, though they were perfectly circular otherwise. It was a unique feature to her silver eyes, though it also further proved that she was very much not human. "Ariawyn," She simply responded at first, her smile remaining while her name elegantly rolled off her purplish tongue, the thing visibly "spiked" at the sides on the front, quite similar to a cat's, though they were more like simple feeler, short and delicate. "Ariawyn Astra Emerilia Celdynn." Her voice was sweet and as delicate as she was, the little Scicylla giving yet another one of curt nods once she introduced herself. She carefully took her left hand off of her staff, tentatively extending it towards the other mage, her digits ending in well-kept nails that were as dark as her horns and her scales. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Ma'am." My, what a well-spoken little lass... so polite and respectful, while her words were thought-out and carefully articulated, and that for someone who was seventeen at the max.

Edited by NightBloomsFell: 11/25/2017 2:42:22 AM"Arawyn it very nice to meet you. Say i have question for are you interested in learning magic from a old mermaid like me? Normally i wouldn't ask but you seem very capable."says azalea azalea was normally very picky about letting certain people know her spells seeing how a lot of them were ones forgotten for one reason or another but her being as old as she is. Knows a great deal about certain spells which have been proven useful to her time and again. azalea shook her hand her skin oddly a little cooler than most.
-
Noting that Azalea wasn't shaking her hand, Ariawyn slowly moved her left hand back to her staff, fingers tightly wrapping around it as she transferred the rest of her weight back onto it, leaning on the stave so very heavily... it was likely the only thing keeping her on her feet, really. "You would do that, Ma'am? Take me under your wing, that is..." The dragon-elf cutely tilted her head to the right, lips pursed in thought. Her heart had skipped a beat when the Witch had posed the question, but Aria managed to remain calm. She already had a Mistress who was teaching her, but a second one would never hurt, not at all. With an eager smile spreading across her pink lips, she nodded, her adorable little elf ears twitching and quivering as she did. Even if she remained composed, her delight was more than obvious. "I will gladly take you up on that offer, Miss Azalea. My sincerest gratitude." Very surprisingly, Ariawyn lifted her staff off of the ground, holding it in front of her abdomen as she gave a deep bow, bending over at the hips. Only a moment later, she was standing straight up again, resting on her staff once more, still a little wobbly on her feet.
-
"You can just call me Azalea and yes i would. "Says Azalea she can see wobble a little and she silently wondered if she was okay.
-
"Are you certain, Miss? You... would not rather have me refer to you as a title? Ma'am, Mistress, Miss..." Well... that was a first. Usually, Aria just called strangers and superiors by something formal, even if she was likely older than them -- it was just out of respect, really.
-
"You may call whatever you wish then. I really don't have a preference honestly."says azaleas she honestly didn't she have one. Her age however was way up there. She just never told it very often.
-
"Mmhm, very well, Mistress." Ariawyn nodded curtly once more, her dependence on her staff will very noticeable even in the middle of conversing. The dragon-elf shut her eyes for just a split second, sighing deeply after... the magic she was throwing around made her feel a tad fatigued.
-
"Would you like to rest you look a bit unsteady."says azalea azalea could that she was tired.
-
"I... yes, that would be quite quaint." Aria only got sleepier and sleepier, her eyes drifting shut again, slowly fluttering to a close... only to fly back open. "My deepest... apologies- *yaaaawn* -Mistress, for being in such an abundantly fatigued state during our first time meeting."
-
"It's quite alright my camp where i stay isn't that far from here."says azalea azalea's place where she had been staying was a make shift camp in the woods near a small creek. As azalea like being near the water.
-
Another yawn escaped Aria, the girl sluggishly nodding in response as she meekly smiled at the woman. It was dangerous and all to go with strangers, but the little dragon could take care of herself, for sure. "Okay," She hummed with a quick nod, her right arm wrapping around her staff, propping it up in between her body and her elbow while she leaned on it.
-
azalea wasn't much of a threat though as she wouldn't hurt someone without a good reason too. But azalea leads her to where she's been staying in the woods which wasn't too fancy as it was a simple campsite near a stream. Her tent was under the shade of a large hemlock and pine tree. The tent actually had a lot more in it than it looked on the outside. Near the tent sat a small campfire that was safely positioned in a way that nothing would catch on fire.
-
When Azalea started leading the way, Ariawyn first unhooked her arm from her staff, her hand wrapping around the leather-wrapped part of it once more. Then, she started following her new mentor with a slow pace, walking carefully while using her stave to support herself and not fall over, the bottom rhythmically tapping on the stone tiles of the ground. When the two arrived at the mermaid's campsite, the dragon-elf pushed a soft, short sigh of relief out, soon standing at Azalea's side with a small, reserved smile.
-
"It's nothing fancy but it's comfy enough for me.''says azalea as she had walked over to the campfire and sat down setting her staff against her tree. "You can rest in the tent if you wish i don't mind."says azalea
-
"Simply splendid," Aria responded with a short, curt nod to accompany her words as she started walking towards the tent, slow and careful in each of her steps. "Again, Mistress, you have my deepest gratitude for this." She smiled at Azalea, giving her a last look before disappearing into the tent, taking her staff with her. She entered by first getting on all fours, then crawling inside, minding her legs a tad more than she probably should've, arms doing most of the lifting.
-
Azalea would look at as she entered the tent. It was fairly comfy and simple inside a battery powered lantern lighting tent. There was a soft bedroll im the back where she could rest.
