  • I'm in the sorta group. It centers around Osiris and the Vex, which is a big plus in my mind. New story line, and as a PVE player, thisbis always good. Mercury will be cool to visit, but looks very small compared to what else we have. Weapons and armor LOOK great, but no idea how it'll actually be in the grand scheme of things. Weapon Forge was a cool idea, but very underwhelming. In an expansion that is all about entering the Vex machine to see infinite possibilities, the 11 prophecy guns should have had random rolls. It would have made them unique, fit the theme, and would add repeatability for those who want to grind for guns. Even if it were like the gunsmith orders from Destiny 1, where there 3 different rolls, just give us a random one of the 3 to add even just a little bit random rolls into the unique set would have gone a long way. The Infinite Forest is basically just walking from gate to gate, SOMETIMES being forced to kill a Daemon, and then getting to the main area (past present and future). But it seems that, once again, no real reason to do it more than once, as the area looked to be mainly used for heroic adventures, which we know will just give us a few tokens in the long run. Not procedurally generated for, again a Vex theme for INFINITE realities is just kinda pointless and goes against the entire feel of the expansion. The public event was nice. Large in scale and has you always running around trying to get it all done. I did like it, and it has it a own area, so that's cool. But then came the 2 tokens and a blue. As the "most rewarding public event ever", that's just not even worth it really beyond a few times, just like the "infinite" forest. Yes, it was all chance, and they got shafted during an important stream, which doesn't help, but it is what it is. Leviathan Part 2. Damn it. Just...damn it. A new Vex raid on Mercury could have been so amazing. But instead we are going back to Leviathan, which in my opinion isbthebworst raidbthey have made. New encounters and a new boss as the end is great (and really there was literally zero chance of this not happening, Leviathan or not), I just hope there is some sort of Vex enemies in it to fit the entire rest of the DLC, otherwise it's just like a "what the heck" kind of feeling. Pros and cons. Obviously we still need to wait for the final stream and the release of Curse of Osiris, but it is basically just more of the same. Nothing really to fix any of the current problems we have been facing since launch. Problems that they have acknowledged. They will come sooner or later, and I hope some of that list comes with Curse, but they haven't shown if they are yet. I'll still play it all. I'll beat the story, play every new event, beat the raid lair and earn plenty of new armor and guns. So, even though I think there is plenty to fix and that the dlc is gonna be just "more of the same", I'll see you on December 5th for Curse of Osiris.
