She did, smacking her lips and passing it back.
"Yeah. Not that it does shit for either of us."

"I dunno. You moved into my ship, though I'm sure you remember that. Then we just kinda fuсked around... though, you said you didn't really like the way you are right now... I can try to help, if you'd want? Can modify your genome, which should, uh, fix things."
-
"That would kill or maim me." Alpha said "and...did I?....well it doesn't matter, no choice."
-
"Kill or maim you? It really shouldn't, you know, since I'd be altering your DNA... 'less you got some magic shittery going on. Honestly, I still dunno what the deal is with your transformation."
-
"I do. It's irreversible." She said "I can't believe you agreed to this." She laughed "I didn't think you were okay with a furry in your house."
-
"First of all," He began, his jolly tone suddenly falling away as he got a lot more serious, and it really felt like he was going to deliver some godawful news, "It's not a house." Oh. Jason chuckled quietly, his grin quickly finding its way back onto his face, eyes twinkling as he winked at Alpha. He moved into the doorway fully, snowing the goat that he was wearing a simple pair of grey jeans with a white T-shirt... and navy blue flip-flops. Lazy day. "But, yeah, I'm fine with a... furry on my ship... I mean, we're friends, aren't we? Plus, you remind me of, uh... my daughter. Anyhow, I left the whole furry-hating behind, so now it's more, ah... tolerating, I suppose? I dunno. If they don't act like a weird-аss fuсkbag, I couldn't care less."
-
"I stabbed Sketch, remember?" She said, sitting up with a groan "God....anyhow..." Alpha stood up, somehow looking pale even through her white fur. "I remind you of your daughter?"
-
"Sketch, Sketch, Sketch... Who the fuсk was that again? It's been, like, a goddаmned decade for me, keep in mind... wait, wait, wait, he was that one really bitсhy one, wasn't he? The one who went and whined at every little thing that happened? Gods, I hated him." He slowly shook his head as he remembered the little shit, and how much he hated that furfаg. He was more than happy that that muppet was gone. "But, yes, you remind me of my daughter... my oldest one, that is, since I... had a few. You're similar to her; same tough outer shell, same soft interior. That and a few other things."
-
"Few...other things?" She said, raising an eyebrow "Elaborate."
-
"It's just a few smaller, more minor things... Both of you are absolute lightweights in alcohol, both of you had a rather trashy upbringing, talk similarly, that kinda stuff."
-
"Talk similarly?" She didn't remember the accent
-
"You get an accent when you get drunk," Jason simply responded, before slipping out of the doorway and out of view, his footsteps heard on the metal floor as he headed back to whatever he had been doing... ...surely Alpha could go investigate.
-
Alpha got up, and followed him. Nothing ventured. Nothing gained.
-
Soon enough, the scent of breakfast - lunch, really - hit her sensitive nose, smelling of bacon and eggs, of course. She walked into the kitchen area of the ship a little after that, some old song playing in the background... Anyway, the Russian was making omelettes.
-
She crossed her arms, trying to parse her memory of last night. "Jason....." She said, then cleared her throat and said it louder "Jason?......Can I ask you something?"
-
"Hmm?" Jason had heard Alpha perfectly well the first time, propping up a little while he threw a quick glance her way, though his attention very swiftly went back to the food he was preparing.
-
"I'm....not a fighter. I can shoot a gun, but I can't fight. Can you help me? I....I'd be in your debt if you did." She said, putting her hands to her sides, opening up to the man
-
Well, that was a question that certainly took him off guard and by surprise. He slowly blinked, scooping the omelettes he was making out of the pan with a plastic-like spatula, laying the food out on a shitty plastic throwaway plate. "...yeah, sure kid, I could do that. I'll try, at the very least."
-
"Thanks man." She said, smiling. "And if you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'm sure I might've said or done something in my drunken stupor that you might need to know." Inwardly, she was scared. There was a lot in her past she wasn't comfortable talking about, but as she said she owed him now.
-
"Alright," Came Jason's awfully simplistic and rather nonchalant response, since he wasn't really planning on asking Alpha much of anything, though he did actually wonder about one little thing, which he was still thinking of now. "Earlier when I proposed changing your genome, you said that would kill and maim you... why, exactly?"
-
"monsters a physically part magic. We simply aren't made of as much physical matter." She explained
-
"So you're a magic goat," He concluded as he spiced the omelette he was making up with salt and pepper both, even throwing in some weird green stuff -- like basil or something.
-
"Yeah." She eyed the omlette "So...making the mother of all omletes huh, Senator?"
-
"Dog's gotta eat too." Dog's gotta eat too...? Surely he didn't mean to feed his dog the "mother of all omelettes" after he'd been so carefully preparing it?
-
"Wow." She said, laughing "Does he really eat THAT much?"
-
He chuckled quietly, the hearty laugh accompanied by a little shake of his head. He tactically scooped the omelette onto a white ceramic plate, walking over to Alpha and presenting it to her after, doing so with a smile. Jason "No, he eats more. This one's for you; hope becoming a goat didn't make you a vegan."
