Dale hit the ground with a thump. He'd either have to wait the storm out or find Bedlam within it. He did the only thing possible. He reloaded his SMG, and pointed it to where Bedlam was... And fired, turning around in a complete circle before the clip ran out. Even with the storm, the bullets would have a decent chance of hitting, considering the rather high fire rate for smaller projectiles. He began to rinse and repeat, firing in a circle, and anchoring himself within the sand.

Bedlam buried himself into the sand (not literally) upon hearing the gunshots, a round grazing his already damaged arm and another took off a part of one ear. "You make this too easy...getting all riled up and shooting blindly in a circle." The storm only showed signs of strengthening as Dale fired, the shards gradually getting harder, larger, and faster while continuing to ram into Dale.

Edited by Atom: 11/27/2017 1:33:15 AMDale would have to hunker down. He shifted himself into the sand, so that his back faced the storm, and began crawling through, avoiding most of the shards by being close to the ground. He came across a dune and circled it, so that the storm could only hit him in one way, at his armored back. He placed his axe in the dune, and then spotted Bedlam's own, grasping on to it so that the storm wouldn't be able to move him.

Edited by Stitch: 11/27/2017 1:41:59 AMBedlam sighed as he formed another shield on his arm and began to walk towards Dale. He was in no hurry as the storm raged on to the point of having shards capable of easily denting steel.
-
He held onto the the axe, using it as an anchor with his other axe to keep himself kept on the ground. His armor was being dented, but the thickness of it was enough to keep him safe.
-
The younger man eventually reached Dale, standing a few feet away. He let the replica axe vaporize as he didn't need it anymore. With his good arm he formed a metal spike and stabbed it into Dale's knee.
Seeing as how Dale was facing the ground, I'd assume he'd be able to stab into the less armoured part behind the knee.
-
Ye
Dale groaned in pain, as his leg was stabbed through the back of the knee. Using his arm and good leg, he pushed himself up, and launched himself into Bedlam, landing on top of his opponent. Placing his arms behind his back and behind Bedlam, he squeezed once more as hard as he could, hoping to end the fight at last. His axe was left in the dune.
-
Dale did get on top of Bedlam, but before he could entangle himself on him, a larger than normal shard slammed into Dale's side, knocking him off and giving Bedlam time to stand back up.

Edited by Atom: 11/27/2017 2:42:59 AMAs he fell, he twisted to grab Bedlam's shield, pulling it down with him to the ground. It was a large target and could easily be grabbed, causing Bedlam to stumble forward from his standing position and land on top of Dale. He then let go, grabbing the back of Bedlam's neck, and using that tank like grip to try and end the fight, all while in the process of falling.
-
Dale grasped the shield, only for it to easily be removed when grasped. Bedlam didn't even feel it get pulled off as he quickly stepped back. "F*ck..." The shield vanished into nothing a second later. "Persistant, f*cker."
-
For the first time since the fight started, Dale spoke. "Yeah, nothing if." He the pulled the plate of his injured leg and chucked it at Bedlam, and while not the same mass of the axe- it had the same speed behind it.
-
"Damnit!" Bedlam took the hit to the chest, flying back a few feet, a rib or two broken. He remained on his back, wincing in pain. For the moment he was stunned.
-
And in that moment, Dale curl else's himself up, grabbing his SMG while Bedlam was stunned, and firing his last clip into him while he was on the ground. Then, he chucked the gun at Bedlam, afterwards calling the axe to his hand.
-
Dale was firing without knowing Bedlam's position so he missed quite a few, but none the less a few found themselves lodged in his body. He cough up blood, rolling over and getting up rather quick for someone in such a bad condition. "Check...mate..." All of the several feet long shards rained down on Dale from all directions.
-
"Pah! It's always my arm that gets hit first- I just wish it was something else, like a hand." Dale fell back as the shards impaled him, only one being stopped by the guard on his wrist before the rest went through him and into the sand. He gave a weak thumbs up before letting his arm fall- and muttering a few words before the sim ended. "Good fight, pal. Kick the rest of 'em's as... It seemed he has bled out, by the massive wounds in hi stomach and the arm. Certainly a shîtty way to die, but- it was all simulation. The arena reverted back to normal, and Dale woke up in his VR chair, rubbing his recently attached arm.
Winner- Cthululululu. Good fight!
-
Bedlam would collapse in the sim a split second after he won. ~~~~~~~ Back in his sim chair. "Hell yeah! Where is he? We're getting drinks!"
-
Currently, he was fast asleep on his bed, having placed his armor in the corner. It was only 'til his wife woke him up to watch the rest of the tourney hat he exited the room.
-
Bedlam quickly found his room, standing outside with two beers and a smile.
-
Dale whispered to the woman at his side's ear, and she hurried off, with a kiss on the cheek. Returning his attention to Bedlam, Dale spoke in his deep voice once more. "If I see a shield again it's too soon, pal."
-
"Yeah, I can see that." Bedlam chuckled, handing over the beer in his one hand. "No shields or glass. The glass is something I learned from a friend by the way. That's not my thing per say."
-
"No? Well, it hurt like hell, specially with a chopped off arm."
Lmao I had set a post limit- he would have died next post anyway due to blood loss.
He popped of the metal cap (unless it's a can) and took a slow sip. "Gotta be careful with this stuff, unhealthy for ya. Anyways, I'm surprised your shield managed to block my throw! What's the secret? Energy shielding? I see that a lot."
-
"Nah. Came from the same friend. Blocks two of anything...sadly it has a cooldown or I would've used it more." Bedlam shivered at remembering being shot at and having the steel armour thrown at him. "Ouch..."
-
"Ha! Just be glad the sand didn't hit it! That would have been disastrous. Say- you know who you're facing next? I can give you tips on how to use the axe you took from me!" He seemed to laugh, it was more a joke rather than an accusation.
-
"Oh....I totally didn't forget about the sand and try to summon a shield the first time you hit me, but fail...not at all." He shrugged. "No idea who I'm fighting yet."
-
"Hm... I hate to say it but you better be on guard. I saw the way my bullets tore through you- you'll have to face much worse." He gave a sly smile before speaking again "But two tons to the back might help. The teleportation was clever, I think you got some real potential with that axe of... Mine? Yours?"
-
"Ours. And thanks. I'll use something different next time. Most likely I won't be able to get away with the same tricks."
