Nathaniel instinctively fell to one knee, large rocks jutting from the ground and covering his front side. The grenade disappeared, followed by a muffled explosion as the ground shook once more.
Then... The mountain shook Slightly. The sound of a cascade of snow was heard, presumably an Avalanche due to the explosives that gone off in the ground.
Nathaniel sat behind the rock, which slowly chipped away and cracked as more and more shots went into it. Until a rock jutted out from the mountain pass and slammed direct into Ivan with the force of two football players crashing into him at the same time.

The crash knocked Ivan down onto his butt and left a dent where he was hit, but was not enough to shatter his exceptionally strong chest armor. Ivan sprayed more white gas in Nathaniel’s face and got up. He moved very close while doing so and stood over Nathaniel. Suddenly, the red lights and alarms blasted out loudly. Another shockwave was released from his body which hit Nathaniel and knocked his body against the ground, and stunned him a little bit.
-
Nathaniel, being on the ground saw this as an opportunity more then anything. He did a kick flip and landed on his feet, in a crouched position and slashed at Ivan's feet once more with his lightsaber. If he could just get the robot off its feet....
-
The robot stepped back from the light saber just quick enough and then released another smaller shockwave. It was weaker, but still had enough power to send Nathaniel into the ground. He then used the range advantage to shoot more into the pit Nathaniel was in.
-
The pit fell inward, collapsing into itself and pulling Nathaniel underneath the dirt and stone. He reached out, but his hand disappear underneath it all as his body fell into the hole and disappeared beneath the ground. Then there was silence, the moving of stones, and the whoosh of a blade. Nathaniel stabbed toward Ivan's back, aiming for the center.
-
Ivan watched the stones move and noticed that Nathaniel was behind him. Ivan ultimately made a sacrifice and leaned the HMG back toward the sword. The sword jammed the HMG but was not able to keep going into Ivan. He took his good foot and slammed it backwards into Nathaniel’s knee aggressively.

Edited by Royal Blade: 11/27/2017 3:23:02 AMConsidering it was his lightsaber, and not a normal blade, the Saber cut the machine gun in half with relative ease. With the machine gun having been cut, Nathaniel spun to the side and avoided Ivan's attacked, using the motion of his spin to bring his Saber around and slash at the side of Ivan's head.
-
You ignored the kick. Even if Nathanial cut the gun in half, the robot still would have kicked and crushed his knee.
-
Fixed it in the next post. Things were misunderstood in this one, so all of this is void.
-
ya I saw. Good job on that end, but just don’t forget those things. Because it’s still a long way to the championships!
-
Will do!
-
That’s not what you wrote...
Since it was specified as a blade and not a saber, the robot disregarded it. He spun around with a pulled back fist, nailing Nathaniel in the cheek.
-
I was using the lightsaber up until that point, why would I switch to a sword all of a sudden? I admit, I may have misspoken the term, but the context was aiming towards a Lightsaber, since Nate was using it prior to that.
-
You had both, so it’s not wrong to assume you might switch between them for whatever reason. Different types of attacks or something...
-
fair. I'll be more specific next time!
The hit nailed him in the cheek, his head moving to the side as he was hit. He laughed slightly, taking a step back and spinning his blade in his hand, twirling it into its sheath. His lightsaber ejected from his gauntlet once more, and rocks through the mountain pass started moving into place, a jutted rock shooting up from in front of Ivan and slamming into its arms, attempting to disarm the machine gun.
-
Thanks man
The rifle was well protected, but the rock did damage the mount. The robot reacted by reloading his rifle- that is, he unloaded the empty mag which popped out of the gun, straight towards Nathaniel’s face. Then he backed away, weaving through the rocks to avoid engagement while he finished reloading.
-
Oh dude no problem!
Nathaniel dodged underneath the empty magazine and seeing and opening rushed forward. He raised his lightsaber and slashed at Ivan once, stepping forward and slashing again. Then a third time, each aimed at either Ivan himself or the weapon he held.
-
Seeing the aggressive slashes, Ivan’s legs spun around and he leaped away while his body still faced Nathaniel. One slash managed to hit his chest and cut through some of the armor. Ivan finished reloading and fired pop shots as he moved to slow down his aggressor.
-
Nathaniel raised and spun his blade, bullets being torn in half as the lightsaber stopped them in their tracks. He didn't falter, didn't waver when bullets did hit him in the chest, further cracking the rock that had covered his torso. Instead, it empowered him. With every step he took, blue Flames were left in the footprints of where he had been, the Blue Flames enveloping the otherwise red lightsaber as he continued the attack. It crashed upon him. The years of fighting, commanding, love and loss, death and betrayal. Being forgotten or ignored, now he was here. Fighting to keep his place in history. He swung meaningfully, going for Ivan's legs, the swinging at the gun, then the legs again. Every stride was purposeful, he would not fall. Not now.

Noticing this sudden surge of energy from Nathaniel, Ivan’s behavior changed and his visor turned from blue to crimson red. He didn’t let Nathaniel’s light saber touch his feet, but knew something had to give. Ivan sprayed rounds upon rounds into him, reloading very fast with the last few mags he had left as he left his gun exposed. This sudden erratic behavior seemed very strange.
-
Nathaniel recognized the erratic movements, the last ditch efforts to fight. He had seen it before. If Ivan was going down, he would take Nathaniel down. "Not today." Nathaniel had started letting loose on his onslaught, instead going on the defensive. Various stones and rocks had begun jutting out, the bullets crashing into the stone and sending chips flying everywhere. For every bullet that struck his armour, Nathaniel moved further back and away from Ivan, kneeling down and picking up one of his fallen blasters. Using the stone for defense, his armour as a shield, his sword as a whip lash Shield, he begun firing with his blaster pistol, the two facing off into an all out shooting gallery.
-
Ivan stopped suddenly as the rocks were pulled up and took cover behind one of them. He had one mag left and fired semi auto now. Despite there being some truth to Nathaniel’s thoughts on the robots behavior, there’s was also more to it. The robot seemed a bit smarter now and fought tactically.
-
Knowing that outside help was forbidden to be brought in, the Mandolorian stayed on the defensive. He himself had no reason to worry about ammo, more so he had to worry about overheating his weapons. However, with the pause of blaster fire when he had dropped them earlier, the guns had cooled. He didn't know how much ammo Ivan had left, but figured the robot was running short. So he also took up the defensive, hiding behind a section of rock that had jutted out and acted as a wall for Nate, being his cover. He would peak out every now and again to fire off a pot shot, but that was relatively all he would do for the time being. It was up to Ivan to make an actual move.
-
The firing from Ivan’s side stopped and it became quiet. He could hear Ivan shuffling around and parts of him moving, but not his feet or arms. It was something different. Then he heard the sound of Ivan’s grenade catapult, but no grenade came flying in. Instead there was a rush of movement. Ivan jumped over the cover and landed next to Nathaniel, clutching the grenade in his hand. It still had the handle on it, but no pin. It was during this that Nathaniel would know what did change his behavior. The robot spoke for the first time in the fight. But instead of a monotone voice, there came from him, a thick Russian accent. “Come closer, comrade.” One might recall that the Soviet Bear from the dojo was the one who designed him, and doubt left a little bit of his own personality inside. This also explained the visor turning crimson of all colors.
-
Nathaniel had been expecting a desperate attempt such as this. Instinctively a rock jutted from the stone and crashed into Ivan's hand, completely surrounding the robots hand and grenade in stone. The explosion would still tear the stone apart, but it would not inflict the damage had hoped it would. Not to Nathaniel had the very least.
-
However, the handle was still attached to the grenade, so it was not cooking yet, but would if it fell off. Ivan rose his fists and started punching until the stone broke off on Nathaniel. His hits were full of speed and precision, like that of a pro boxer. He punched at Nathaniel’s face and body.
