"I believe in my ability to smite things with f*cking divine powers, but speaking in front of people?...Wow, I have a problem. I can kill f*cking demons, but talking to people is too hard?"
Lyn chuckled turning to the stage and beginning to walk.
"I-I've got this..."

“I believe in you completely now!” Lyn heard Cain say as she was on her way back to speak in front of the crowd.
-
"Thanks, Cain!...I sure don't..." Lyn stood back up in front of the crowd with a weak smile, looking a bit more confident this time. "So, that was...bad. I swear I'm a lot better at killing things than speaking. I mean, how else would I have lived through the whole war we just fought, eh?" She shrugged. "So, I'm hoping we can y'know...gather together or something and make this company something great. I personally hunted demons and monsters by myself for numerous years now, but maybe with you guys we can help make the world a better place?"
-
“Better place! Yes!” Cain cheered on.
the crowd is all you lol this is your post
-
The crowd wasn't necessarily cheering, but they clapped a little and nodded at what Lyn said. Lyn sighed a little in relief, relaxing a bit. "Thank you. From here on out I'll be taking a leading role with some help from trustworthy friends of mine to make sure we're efficient and capable of stopping disasters the likes of another Coldbourne invasion. We will be strong, honorable, and show those who can't defend themselves that someone is looking out for them."
-
Cain would then clap, cheering a little in an attempt to egg the audience on.
-
The crowd joined in gradually, clapping and cheering a little. It wasn't much, but it was better than the awkward silence and murmuring Lyn caused when she ran off stage. "Thank you!" Lyn rushed off the stage, running into a hug with Cain. Her eyes were wide and she was shaking pretty bad. "Oh my god...I thought I was going to die."
-
Cain patted her on the back as he spoke. “But you didn’t! And that’s what’s important. I am sure Alex would be proud of you right now.” He told her.
-
"I might get sick again..." Lyn shivered before releasing Cain and stepping back. "Thank you for helping, Cain. I hate speeches...if you'd consider that sad excuse of talking a speech."
-
“It wasn’t sad! It was....effortful!” Cain said in an attempt to reassure her.
-
"Mhmm..." Lyn replied, sounding unconvinced. "I think I'll stick to killing things rather than speaking at events. Now, I feel like I need to go get stress out of my system by hunting something..." She began to head towards the exit.
-
“Alone...?” Cain asked her as she took a few steps away. “I’d like to come with...unless you planned on wanting to go alone that is.”
-
Lyn stopped and paused for a minute to think before turning to Cain with a smile. ".....Sure, let's go together. Try not to get killed though, eh?"
-
Cain scratched the back of his head, taking the light hearted words a little more seriously then he should’ve. “Well...I’ll aim not too. As always.”
-
"It's a joke, Cain. Hopefully Lilly keeps helping you learn social skills." She turned back to leave again. "Onward!"
-
“Indeed!” Cain would agree, excited to finally fight something for once.
Take it away!
