The crowd joined in gradually, clapping and cheering a little. It wasn't much, but it was better than the awkward silence and murmuring Lyn caused when she ran off stage.
"Thank you!"
Lyn rushed off the stage, running into a hug with Cain. Her eyes were wide and she was shaking pretty bad.
"Oh my god...I thought I was going to die."

Cain patted her on the back as he spoke. “But you didn’t! And that’s what’s important. I am sure Alex would be proud of you right now.” He told her.
-
"I might get sick again..." Lyn shivered before releasing Cain and stepping back. "Thank you for helping, Cain. I hate speeches...if you'd consider that sad excuse of talking a speech."
-
“It wasn’t sad! It was....effortful!” Cain said in an attempt to reassure her.
-
"Mhmm..." Lyn replied, sounding unconvinced. "I think I'll stick to killing things rather than speaking at events. Now, I feel like I need to go get stress out of my system by hunting something..." She began to head towards the exit.
-
“Alone...?” Cain asked her as she took a few steps away. “I’d like to come with...unless you planned on wanting to go alone that is.”
-
Lyn stopped and paused for a minute to think before turning to Cain with a smile. ".....Sure, let's go together. Try not to get killed though, eh?"
-
Cain scratched the back of his head, taking the light hearted words a little more seriously then he should’ve. “Well...I’ll aim not too. As always.”
-
"It's a joke, Cain. Hopefully Lilly keeps helping you learn social skills." She turned back to leave again. "Onward!"
-
“Indeed!” Cain would agree, excited to finally fight something for once.
Take it away!
