Artemis shrugged, tossing her bow and quiver to the ground.
"Trust me, I should help and stay down here. I'll do more this way."
Lyn pulled out both her swords, both of them pointed outward at the large pack closing in on them slowly.
"This won't end well..."

“Like I said we can’t let them surround us.” Cain told them. “....We should charge them.”
-
"CHARGE!" Lyn flew forward, ramming her shoulder into the face of a hound. Artemis followed her example, leaping toward the crowd of beasts and knocking out a hound with a knee to the face.
-
Cain sprinted forward, throwing his spear directly into the brain of one of the hounds. He then slid across the snowy grass, pulling out the small double barrel given to him by a certain therapist, and shot at another hound, the spray of pellets from the gun releasing and tearing apart the second beasts skull. Cain slid towards the first beast, and he grasped his spear and tore it out the side of the creatures head, ready for the next one to make a move.

Edited by Stitch: 11/30/2017 1:44:37 AM"FINALLY!!!!! KILL! MURDER! BLOOD!" The shotgun scream as Cain fired it, shooting out a blast so powerful the pellets blew through the first hound and a few others behind it. Artemis and Lyn looked over in confusion while they battled their own targets.
-
“....What?” Cain asked, confused as he spun his spear around and then sent its stabbing through a hounds left eye and out its right.
-
"Keep shooting me, you incompetent owner! Never surrender! Never back down!" The voice had an AI feel to it and sounded feminine. "We shall run the streams red with their blood!"
-
Edited by Inflatablepants: 11/30/2017 5:05:14 AM“So vain...” Cain commented as popped the shotgun open under his arm, roundhousing the spear through the beasts skull and straight into the chest of another. As he did so he reloaded the weapon, grasped the grip, flipped the barrels back up with a click! and shot at another group of beasts with his one hand.
-
"BLAM!" Two slugs fired out, exploding upon hitting a hound. The explosion took out at least a dozen, it being far larger than the shotgun should've been capable of. "Yes! Keep firing me!"
-
“You don’t have to ask me twice...” Cain said as he gripped his spear and tore it through the hound he had stabbed. He stabbed his spear into the ground as he swiftly reloaded, throwing Vicky into his left hand and hardly took aim as he fired into another group.
-
The shotgun laughed as this time a wall of plasma shot out and evaporated dozens of hell hounds that were in the way. "HAHAHA! DIE! BURN!" "Where'd you get the kill happy shotgun, Cain?!" Lyn asked as she sliced and diced hounds in the background.
-
“My therapist!” Cain responded as he reloaded again, digging the barrel right into the mouth of a hungry beast and pulling the trigger.
-
The shot blasted half the dog into nonexistance while almost every dog behind it got blown into soup. "What f*cking therapist gives you that thing?!"
-
“The same one that aims it at you! Then comes out with a broken nose!” Cain yelled as he once again reloaded, taking aim this time as he fired on shell in one direction and another a little ways away from the first.
-
Both shots appeared to fire slugs, but after a split second they began spinning around in a circle in the air, creating a laser between them and slicing through anything that they touched. "Weird therapist..."
-
“Yes! Very strange!” Cain agreed as he watched the shotty do its work. He looked around, trying to get a sense of how many hounds were left.
-
Between all three of their efforts it appeared the rest of the hounds were retreating. Lyn didn't seem winded at all as she sheathed her swords and shrugged, turning to look over at Artemis. Artemis actually looked rather bored and sighed. "That was too easy..."
-
“Well we aren’t done yet!” Cain yelled. “We cannot allow them to escape! Otherwise this problem will simply arise again! We have to find their den...”
-
"We're not killing the pups, Cain. This was a hunt for fun...not to kill off a species." Artemis said, walking over to him.
-
Edited by Inflatablepants: 11/30/2017 6:28:13 AM“...what?” Cain said, confused. “But these beasts are clearly dangerous. What if they attack villages? With the amount that were here, they could have overrun entire towns over night.”
-
"They stick to the forest. They always do. This place isn't even techically on Tataki. Is that how you say it? I dunno..." Artemis began to walk away. "Let's get back. We don't want to be here when it gets dark."
-
“...We’re...not on Tatakai?” Cain asked, scratching his head as he slipped his spear on to his back.
-
Lyn looked as confused as Cain. "Artemis, what're you talking about?" Artemis sighed again. "This is where my people come from. It's an entire world full of creatures that just want to murder everything. We got here by going through a little screw up in space time that I found on Tatakai. Just so happened the trees in the area looked the same. I didn't think it mattered." "Of course it matters!"
-
Edited by Inflatablepants: 11/30/2017 7:18:59 AMCain blinked slowly, trying to grasp whatever this woman was talking about. “What’s a screw up through space time?” He asked.
-
"It's like those portals that mages make, but natural...kinda." Arty replied, beginning to sound annoyed. "Can we just go?" "This isn't something you just forget about, Artemis." Lyn grunted in frustration and began to walk back the way they came. "We should go before who knows what comes after us."
-
“Hold on.” Cain started, confusion clearly coursing through his words. “Why did we come here? I...we’re not on Tatakai, I mean, so what was the point exactly?”
