"I'd prefer not to change owners until I at least get fixed."
Lyn stared at the gun with a worried look as they walked.
"You sure that gun isn't going to kill you in your sleep, Cain?"

“I’ll be pointing the barrel away from my body I think.” Cain told Lyn as he looked around.
-
The sky was beginning to darken and considering they were at the bottom of such large and thick trees, there wasn't a lot of light. It began getting rather hard to see where they were going. "F*ck..." Artemis mumbled. "I wanted to get away before it got dark."
-
“Why is that?” Cain asked her. “Besides the fact that it would be dark.”
-
"Actually terrifying beasts come out that wouldn't so easily die as those hounds." Artemis began to pick up the pace as a howl was heard. "We've got to go..."
-
“Well alright then.” Cain would begin to jog, trying to pick up the pace.
-
Lyn followed their example, breaking into a jog. As they headed back, it got darker and darker, until it was near impossible to see what was in front of you. Artemis would suddenly stop, her ears perking up as if she heard something. "We need to get back in the trees...now."
-
“Well no point in wasting time then.” Cain would say softly as he Sprinted for the nearest trunk, repeating what he had done earlier in the day to spring himself up onto the highest branch he could reach.
-
Lyn swiftly followed behind, Artemis simply leaping up. Halfway up Cain could feel the trunk violently shake as if something large hit it at the base.
-
Cain held on tight before he looked down, trying to see what creature could have hit the tree .
-
In the darkness all he could make out was something very tall and very long, slide against the tree. "This is why we needed to climb." Artemis commented.
-
Cain didn’t say anything further as he then proceeded to ascend the trunk of the massive tree.
-
The trio would all eventually reach the top and begin making their way back. After a long time of trying to climb tree to tree in total darkness, a huge bright light randomly appeared behind them, far off in the distance.
-
Cain halted, gripping a branch tightly as he looked back. “What is that?” He questioned, mainly towards Arty.
-
Artemis turned, squinting as she stared into the light. "Uhh....I'm not sure if that's this creature that makes light during the night to attract people so it can eat them or phoenix mating...."
-
“....we should...keep moving.” The man suggested then.
-
"Yeah, I'm not in the mood to watch phoenix mate at the moment. I already did earlier." Artemis said casually while continuing on. Eventually they made it out of the forest, Dojoville clearly seen in the distance. "Oh thank god..." Lyn mumbled, turning to Cain. "We're safe."
-
“Well, If you can define the dojo as “safe.” Then I suppose so!” He would say to Lyn.
-
Lyn chuckled and nodded. "True enough, Cain. Better than a dark forest if you ask me." Artemis yawned and agreed. "Yep. Unless you want a monster to slowly skin you alive and then inject you with a liquid that'll cause you to live through losing all your skin and then have you tied up in a tree with no skin on your body to stop the f-" "That's...That's enough, Arty."
-
“I should probably head in for the night.” Cain told the girls. “Thank you for having me along for the Trek.”
-
"It was a pleasure meeting you, Cain." Alpha bowed as a farewell, but Lyn was a bit more physical and pulled him into a quick friendly hug. "Bye, Cain. See ya soon."
-
“Indeed.” Cain would tell Lyn. “Anyways, I will be off. Good night, everyone”.
