“Have you ever torn a man in half?” The Vampire Hunter was sitting around in his warehouse, sitting on a large, black leather couch. He didn’t have any plans that day, so the Priest and him had been talking about their different exploits in their hunter experiences. They were both hunters of the supernatural, be it ghost, and goblin, or vampire. The Vampire Hunter had made the previous comment, lowering his wife-brim hat. Priest: “No, at least I don’t recall doing it. I use crossbows, not melee. Sometimes I swear you forget I’m just a normal guy and not a homunculus like you and Huntress.” Vampire Hunter: “Don’t forget Athena.” Priest: “Yes, yes. And Athena.” The Priest was a young man, maybe in his late-twenties at the most. He wore a white trench coat, and that was all was able to be seen. He was behind a desk, his own hat pulled down over his face. He was reading away at a book, possibly a Bible considering his profession. The Vampire Hunter was dressed as the Priest, but in pure black. His face was completely unseen, as if something was covering it. Suddenly, the Huntress bursts through the door. Huntress: “Hunter! You need to go outzide! Now! I tried to handle it... But I can’t! Go! Now!” Fear was apparent in her voice, her accent edging itself as she began to panic. The Vampire Hunter didn’t even say a word, he just began walking. He walked right through the door, ready for anything. If it was enough to scare the Huntress, it was probably enough to make him a little uneasy. When he got outside, he realized just why the Huntress was scared. The thing was massive, thousands of black tentacles and paws flinging themselves everywhere. It was as big as a building, a mammoth of a creature. It didn’t even seem to have a form, it was just one giant mass. But it seemed to recognize that Vampire Hunter was near, because it stopped dead in its tracks. It began to shift, shrink down into something looking like a person. It shrunk down into the shape of a woman, that fact only partially hinted at by the shape of its hips. The other telltale sign, was the voice. Creature: “It has been long since I have seen one of your talent... Tell me... Do you plan to kill me? Allure me? Incapacitate me? Probably one of those... But I am not here for wanton destruction... If I was, your pretty little huntress would be dead, Charles. Yes, your name! One not heard since... When did you change it last? It was in France, correct? When you killed that child?” It seemed it was trying to goad him into aggression with the mention of such heinous acts, but the Vampire Hunter only smiles his toothy smile more, the flames of his eyes glowing brighter. Vampire Hunter: “You think I’m ashamed of what I’ve done? Hell no. That’s like a businessman being ashamed of selling something, or a politician being ashamed of lying. It’s my job, and I’m damn good at it. And whatever you are, you’re dead already. Just by trying to piss me off.” The thing moved towards him more, her very slender figure moving smoothly. She stood at exactly his height, seven feet eight inches. She smiled, a red smile creeping across her face. It went from where her left ear would be to the right. Her fingers reached out, to the Vampire Hunter’s face. She grabbed around his cheeks. For some reason, he couldn’t resist. It confused him, and frustrated him. He thought it was some magic bullshit, but he could never be sure. Creature: “I am not here to kill anyone, or even hurt anyone. I am here for you, to take you out of the picture. I am one of atonement, and you have much to atone for.” The thing’s hands began to burn, began to hurt. They hurt. Usually the Vampire Hunter would’ve enjoyed such a sensation, but this was... Different. Like it wasn’t just hurting, but doing actual damage. She took her hands from his face, looking at her again. That was when it plunged its hand right into his chest, ripping out his heart. He looked shocked. He fell to the ground at this point, and the thing lowered his heart into its mouth, swallowing. He wasn’t dead, but he wished he was. Pain. All the pain he’d ever caused, all being rushed upon him. His chest began to heal, but when it was done, he felt weak, tired. “Let us see how you fare here without your abilities, hm? How well you are at hunting?” It sat down beside him, waiting for another to show up.
Open.
• Alpha just sat down on the roof of a building nearby, smoking a cigarette. She had planned on drinking the bottle of liquor beside her and getting drunk...but this was more entertainment. She was tired of helping and getting involved. -blam!- 'em. Let someone else help him.

  • And thus, literally nothing would happen for a while. Akenten wouldn’t know what she did unless she saw her, so if she stayed out of sight she was safe from the atonement, but hers would probably be much less painful than the Vampire Hunter’s, considering his history of torture and murder. Eventually, the Vampire Hunter would begin to convulse and cough up blood.

  • She just smirked, being a fair distance away, getting up, and crouching before laying flat on her belly and watching. Though if it saw her...

  • "What madness is this?"says Koda in his gruff sounding voice as he looks at the strange woman that was next to the hunter who had killed little arvira. A child who's start in life was a rough one and he had been looking after if he was one of his own. But koda really hadn't set foot in the dojo since her death afraid that he would be slaughtered just like her a freak.. but in truth he was just a lone werewolf content to live in the woods away from others. He was quite large muscle wise covered in scars from his rough life. He had shaggy black hair and steel grey eyes. He wore blue jeans and black shirt. He was about six feet tall exactly as he cautiously approached the scene wary as hell.

  • The creature looked up at him, her smile still upon her blank face. She just looked up at him, rooting around and looking for any little thing he had to atone for. But, in the meantime, she waved at him. “Hello.”

"Uh hi.."says koda Koda couldn't help but get the feeling that she was digging through he mind somehow. But she would dig up something all right though the day he killed a man for beating a small kid then his wife. That was something he couldn't stand and killed the man.

  • “You have... Little to atone for. Your punishment will be very swift. I apologize in advance.” She slinked over to him, her limbs moving strangely and smoothly. The smile grew a little wider as he felt his will and ability to move slowly melt away. Akenten would put her hand to his face, and in that moment, he could not move. It began to burn and burn, like hot metal being pressed to his face. And that’s when it started. Every little bit of wrong he’d ever done was put upon him, even the smallest of infractions.

he could compare the burning sensation he felt to that of being bound with pure silver chains which was something he had unfortunate circumstances of being a unwilling participant. As he still bears the scars of which are nasty to look at. But this pain failed in comparison with that it felt about five times worse. The pain actually bringing tears to his it felt that bad. It took everything he had to remain standing as he thought just four words why him?why now? As he looked at the strange woman causing him all this pain. "I did nothing wrong but be born a werewolf which in itself is something people already hate. i have never killed someone on purpose that didn't deserve like that who beat his little girl and wife daily what would have me do sit and do nothing? Like a no good coward especially if was something the child had asked him."says koda

  • "Curse you!" Athena's screaming, hateful voice rang throughout the scene presented to her, as she had arrived at the site just as this.. thing, this monster, harmed.. no, tore away, at her Hunter. The silky white robes of the woman would fly and weave throughout the air, as Athena would drop to the Hunter's side, away from the feminine being. She looked upon him, hugging his form as she stared upon the female. "Why? You choose the one individual whom cleanses the dark! Why not the Dojo? Why not anywhere else, you hateful thing!"

  • “Oh, he is not the only one, songstress. He is one of many. He is the beginning of the atonement, for he has done the worst and most heinous acts of all people here. You would know that better than most, wouldn’t you?” The creature leaned down beside Athena, looking at her. She was baffled that the Vampire Hunter could have a friend such as Athena. “Unlike Charles, I am not proud of what I have done. I do not revel in it. But I must do it.”

  • "How could you.. how could you!" Athena raised her fist, the pale hand hovering above the being's head, albeit it froze into place. Athena's eyes would meet the being's face, the shining blue color now a ghastly light grey and cyan. She would lower her fist, her other arm still wrapped around the Hunter. "He was my Hunter, my salvation.. our hope against the coming storm, our savior against the bounding arc.. ...now cursed to a weaker form, now nothing against surrounding dark." Athena's twisted rhyme would end with those two words, as she swallowed a little, lowering her hooded head in silence, white-cyan hair hiding away the sides of her face in light curls. "...and what of me, then? Why have you not rendered me to such a state?"

Again, I’m not proud of my work.” The Vampire Hunter began to convulse and spit up blood, the ground being littered with little splatters of blood. “Seems he’s gotten to the physical section...”

Athena would respond, perhaps with a kinder, more understanding tone, but instead brought her gaze to her Hunter, her pale face turning a deathly white color as she kept her thin hands upon the Hunter's body, allowing him to cough up the blood within. There was not anger, least not then, not sadness, not pity, just.. helplessness. As if Athena considered herself useless, in a situation where a friend was in utter agony. It was something that she couldn't stop, even if the Hunter was facing "judgement", whatever this was. "I-I'm here.. shhh, I-I'm here." Athena tried to calm down the Hunter, closing her eyes as she awaited his agonizing reply. She expected the worst. A begging for dеаth. Retching screams of torment. Or silence. Just.. silence. She had witnessed such things in her younger years, and she had experienced them too. Nothing like this judgement, though. Nothing like this, where there was at least justification. No, she faced the senseless, meaningless hеlls of mankind's worst.

  • This would last a very long while, but he would eventually go still. He was still alive, but his breathing was heavy and erratic. He suddenly regained consciousness, and his back arched as he screamed and screamed from this fresh hell. It was at this point that Akenten turned away, her smile turning to a frown. She seemingly regretted her action. The Vampire Hunter began screaming obscenities of every language, culture, and even some that were strictly religious. Eventually, this too would stop, and he would just sit there, looking up at Athena.

  • The sound of a motorcycle was heard approaching, Leon having heard commotion in the direction as he drove over. He removed his helmet as he did, leaving him in black jeans to conceal his leg armour and his Ivory white chestplate and arm gear. He had his spear in hand, feather two purple feather hanging off the weapon as he looked over at the scene "Dios mio, what the hell happened here?" He said, weapon still in hand. If she were to see the deeds he had done, she'd see many things. Him fighting kids as one himself, keeping them away from his youngest brother. As a 16 year old boy, technically against the law, joining the military to fight for his country. The casualties he cause don the battlefield with his crossbow and spear, fighting for a cause he believed was true but taking many lives to do so. Defending his fellow soldiers, and failing to do so as well.

  • And look into that it did. He began to feel sluggish, to feel tired. He felt himself being drawn towards her, like he couldn’t help but go right over to her. She began raising her hands to his face, just like she had done to the Vampire Hunter. “I know what you have done, Leon. Penance is upon you... You must pay for what you’ve done... The lives you’ve taken. The people you’ve maimed. The terrible orders you carried out without question... Do you know how many people you have slaughtered, Leon? Do you? Too many... Much too many...” She chuckles now, and begins to bring her hands up to his face.

  • Even if he hadn't felt moved over to her he would carry himself over to her, spear in hand and electricity crackling on his body. Sights of the battlefield flashed before both of them: spears piercing chests, electricity cutting down enemy soldiers. The one thing neither saw in the memories though was guilt for what he had done. As he approached, he only gripped his spear and spoke. "I have done no wrong. What I have done was to protect."

Ones you will feel until the end of your life.” She put her hands upon his face, and they began to burn. He felt every single little bit of wrong he ever did to anyone. Every stab, punch, and fry. Everything. Any pain tolerance he’d built up melted away, he felt it all raw.

  • “There is a difference between having an opportunity to not take one’s life and defending yourself. As a wise author once said, courage is not knowing when to take a life, rather when to spare one. You could have knocked those men out, taken them to custody. But no. I am one made to judge and make people atone, so you will atone.” Doubt was apparent in her voice, but not enough to make her stop. “You will feel everything you have done wrong. Every. Last. • "I killed them because they would've done the same to me, I defended myself from them. If you cannot even answer a simple question such as that one, How can you be fit to pass judgement. Let me ask you another question then. If I kill a serial murderer, am I right for stopping more from dying, or am I wrong for taking a life?" He said, relating his question back to his supposed sins. It was true, his opponents wouldn't have hesitated to kill him on the battlefield, or those who were his friends.

I am fit to pass judgement because I was deemed so when I was created. My only goal is to make others atone. I do not care what they did, or their reasoning, just that they did it.
