As the two slides would clash against each other, Alric would see something upon Khalosh's ramparts. Archers had begun to draw back their bows, as a single order - "LOOSE!" - was heard from overhead.
The arrows' wrath would then be released, as hundreds of arrows would pelt the Trayven forces. Freya would take cover, as the vanguard would begin to falter.

"CHARGE THE GATES!" Alric kicked his horse in the side, charging forward as men and women alike died around him. Dozens fell, but Alric persisted, swinging his blade and cutting down anyone that got too close. Some knights followed his lead, and the small group charged toward the gates of the city. His role was to hold an area. He intended to do that.

Alric's cavalry charged had managed to escape the flanking assault on Cain's end, yet the Tribune's own soldiers were too distracted to do anything to stop the cavalry charge, other than blindly attack. Some horses fell to the earth with crying whines, with cleaved legs, or a spear ramming through their bodies. Alric would be victim to such an attack: as a Tribune lancer would thrust her javelin towards his steed's side.

Alric used the momentum to propel himself into a roll, moving across the ground as a ball. As his horse crashed to the ground behind him, Alric rolled onto his feet and came up a stop, kneeling in the midst of battle. In a single swipe, he cut the head off the Lancer that had taken down his horse. He hacked and slashed his way through their lines, pushing through towards the gates

Edited by Weeaboo Of War: 12/5/2017 12:22:51 PMAlric would succeed, for a time at least. The gateway would serve as his entrance within, as Alric would enter the courtyard beyond the gates, the Trayvens pushing forward-
Trevor Morris - Saarath here we go, lololol.
A steely grip suddenly wrapped around his shoulder, as Alric's body was suddenly thrown to the side, away from the clashing forces of Trayven and Tribune alike. As Alric would look up, a six foot tall, armored knight would stand before him, his armor adorned with silver and decals, engraved with emblems of old. The armor shined with a near holy look, yet he was not pure, blood dripping off of his previously white shawl and the longsword within his hand hand. The knight had purposefully positioned himself behind the wall so that he would not be facing attackers, pressing his fist against his chest before gripping his longsword. "Justice will be served: to you, to Lady Freya, and to Trayve and it's collaborators."
-
"... Justice for what exactly?" Alric asked calmly as he got to one knee and rose to his feet. He spun his steel blade in his hand, keeping an eye on the knight as he looked around the battle. The Bastards of the Burning Isles were fighting side by side with the Dojo and Trayvern forces, several off their horses and the others fighting either r on top a steed or lying dead in a ditch. Alexander, Elizabeth and Jeremiah were all standing back to back to back, creating a whirlwind of blades that cut through their enemies. Realizing he was most likely on his own, Alric dropped into a defensive stance. Conjuring Igni, the flame wave power of the Witcher... He prepared for a battle.

"Justice for the past. Justice for wars past and wars to come, and justice against these lions." There was a familiar passion within the man's voice. Nothing that would give away whom he was, yet the man's tone was.. relatable to yet another. The knight would then grip the hilt of his sword with just one hand, before his being would swerve forwards, as he would then swing the great weapon upwards. There was a certain grace to how he had already swung - already intending to end Alric through a vertical slash, yet he still seemed to have opportunity to handle Alric if he escaped.
-
Alric was... Surprised to say the least, seeing the grace of the large man that was swinging his blade. However, he did not allow that to capture his thoughts. He stepped to the side, narrowly dodging the blade and stabbing the tip of his blade toward the knights shoulder. Aiming more to incapacitate the man's sword arm then commit any murders, the move might have cost him...

Edited by Royal Blade: 12/6/2017 11:54:38 PMThe Witcher attempted to move back, but the blunt blade directly hit him in the waist and he took a few steps back, pain shooting up his side. He quickly made a hand gesture, a strange orange overlay over his body and acting as a shield would. He reentered a defensive stance, leaping to the side of the knight and swinging toward the back of his legs.

This time, Alric would hit, the blade striking his right leg and slicing throughout the light leather plating, blood streaking through the cut armor. The knight would grunt in pain, bringing his sword back and thrusting the pommel into Alric's face, alongside pushing himself forward in order to slam his physical form into Alric.
-
The pommel of the blade slammed into his nose, which instantly started bleeding. He took a staggering step backwards, and then the knight slammed into him. The orange layer that shielded Alric had the effect similar to an explosion, simply without the explosive elements. Once the shield shattered, it made the sound of a boom, exploding outward and working as something to push the knight away from Alric. Without causing any harm, of course. Merely a force push, if the writer is concerned.
-
Indeed, the knight's heavy armor wouldn't help him against the wrath of forceful attacks, as he would then skid backwards. Yet the warrior would keep his grip upon the weapon in his hands, as he continued to face off against Alric. Silence. Eerie, terrible silence. He was waiting for the Witcher's move.
-
Alric poised himself into a defensive stance, standing strong and tall... As much as he could at least. He made a quick hand gesture, a small purplish circle forming around himself and the knight. It was five meters in diameter and went around the two of them, them standing in the center. The knight felt slower than he had before, as if the circle was effecting his speed.
-
The knight would grunt in a distasteful manner, as he would soon realize that he couldn't move as agile as he had done previously. Such a change had made the knight holster his sword over his back, drawing a knife.
-
Realizing he had the advantage of a longer blade, Alric moved around in the circle and sent jabs at the knight. Mostly, these jabs were meant to keep the knight himself back, more then to do any actual damage. Was Alric expecting outside help?
-
The knight would begin to seemingly counter, using the dagger yet and his left hand, guarded by a gauntlet, to block the jabs while he would back away. He was testing if he would be capable of escaping this dome-like structure of magic.. The door to the fortress would then clatter, as if slammed against by a battering ram. A booming yell would be heard, before it was slammed once more - the battle was coming to a close.
-
The dome, as the knight would realize, was not exactly stable. If he were perhaps... Walk out of the circle itself, it might lighten the sudden slowness he felt. With the knight most likely distracted looking for a way out, Alric spun past and slashed at knights legs once more.
-
The slash was able to wound the knight, as he would tumble and grunt in searing pain, the blade cutting through the less armored left leg of the man. His calf had begun to bleed as he backed out of the dome, his breathing quiet.
-
The Bloody Witcher went after the knight, keeping up a strong offensive. He hacked away at the knight, slashing at his hands and legs. None of his attacks were meant to kill, that much became apparent to the knight.
-
When the knight had departed from the barrier, he would soon draw his longsword once more, and began to parry away at Alric's offensive advance, two handing his blade. Finally, he would swing, attempting to knock Alric's blade out of his hands.
-
The knight successfully knocked the blade sideways, and left a gash on Alric's sword arm. However, the Witcher held tight to the blade and stumbled to the side with the blow, cursing at the knight. He switched sword hands, recovering from the blow and keeping a distance from the knight, hoping the knights weakened knee would slow him.
-
Indeed, the slash upon his leg would begin to slow the knight, the scarlet scent of blood dripping from the slash. The knight would lower his sword for a moment, though he would bring his blade back up.
-
Seeing the knights slower movement, and apparent inability to keep his weapon up, Alric pressed the attack. He struck hard and fast at the knights blade, aiming to disarm him.
