"How could you.. how could you!"
Athena raised her fist, the pale hand hovering above the being's head, albeit it froze into place. Athena's eyes would meet the being's face, the shining blue color now a ghastly light grey and cyan. She would lower her fist, her other arm still wrapped around the Hunter.
"He was my Hunter, my salvation..
our hope against the coming storm, our savior against the bounding arc..
...now cursed to a weaker form, now nothing against surrounding dark."
Athena's twisted rhyme would end with those two words, as she swallowed a little, lowering her hooded head in silence, white-cyan hair hiding away the sides of her face in light curls.
"...and what of me, then? Why have you not rendered me to such a state?"

“You have done nothing to atone for. I do not even know your name, ma’am. I know only that you have done nothing you need to apologize or atone for... Again, I’m not proud of my work.” The Vampire Hunter began to convulse and spit up blood, the ground being littered with little splatters of blood. “Seems he’s gotten to the physical section...”

Edited by Weeaboo Of War: 12/4/2017 4:34:33 PMAthena would respond, perhaps with a kinder, more understanding tone, but instead brought her gaze to her Hunter, her pale face turning a deathly white color as she kept her thin hands upon the Hunter's body, allowing him to cough up the blood within. There was not anger, least not then, not sadness, not pity, just.. helplessness. As if Athena considered herself useless, in a situation where a friend was in utter agony. It was something that she couldn't stop, even if the Hunter was facing "judgement", whatever this was. "I-I'm here.. shhh, I-I'm here." Athena tried to calm down the Hunter, closing her eyes as she awaited his agonizing reply. She expected the worst. A begging for dеаth. Retching screams of torment. Or silence. Just.. silence. She had witnessed such things in her younger years, and she had experienced them too. Nothing like this judgement, though. Nothing like this, where there was at least justification. No, she faced the senseless, meaningless hеlls of mankind's worst.

This would last a very long while, but he would eventually go still. He was still alive, but his breathing was heavy and erratic. He suddenly regained consciousness, and his back arched as he screamed and screamed from this fresh hell. It was at this point that Akenten turned away, her smile turning to a frown. She seemingly regretted her action. The Vampire Hunter began screaming obscenities of every language, culture, and even some that were strictly religious. Eventually, this too would stop, and he would just sit there, looking up at Athena.
