It was a bit of a busy scene on the outskirts of Dojoville, as Verdantus was busy clearing out an empty lot. The tall Fey was clad in worker’s jeans and a forest green shirt and jacket. His hands were covered in dirt, but still gleamed with a faint green glow as he carefully dug his trowel, and about thirty more just like it, held in invisible hands, moving in parallel with the one in his hands. He carefully lifted up the plants from the dirt and moved them to replant towards the edges, muttering a little poem over them as he planted them back.

He continued with his work until a large circle touching every side of the square lot was cleared, and then started walking around it, not pausing as he waved a greeting to the nearby person.

"You're a teacher?" Natalie asked, perking up slightly.
-
“Yes. I teach aspiring mages, for a price, and recently traveled here because I heard it was in need of such a teacher.”
-
"Alright. Whats your price?"
-
“It depends a great deal on what I’m teaching. What do you want to learn?”
-
"Something that will make me powerful. If you can, I wish to learn something related to fire, or healing perhaps."
-
“Power. Yes I can indeed grant that. Healing is also a specialty of mine, though fire is one of my weaker subjects.”
-
"Then please, teach me to heal."
-
“Alright. Come back tomorrow and we’ll begin your training. I’ll need a bit of time to round out a lesson plan and draw up a contract.”
-
"Alright." With that said, Natalie finished her yes and left the building.
End, or skip until tomorrow?
-
We can skip, but I’ll be a little bit.
-
Kk. I'll let you kick it off when you want to.
The next day...

Nat had decided to come back around noonish, though she had been delayed by around half of an hour due to a few things she needed to take care of with the Trayvens. She was now donning her usual battle garb of a leather jerkin and matching leggings, the set coloured a dark purple to match her hair and with added patches of red velvet on the shoulders. Her staff hanged off her back in a small red harness for easy access.
-
Verdantus was sat outside waiting for her on a rock
-
"So woody, I think we should at least learn each other's names before we try to teach me, wouldn't you agree?" Nat inquired as she approached the rock. It had occured to her on the approach that she didn't actually know his name, and vice versa. All she knew was his race was tied to nature.
-
“For now Verdantus will do, and yours?”
-
"Natalie, call me Nat."
-
“A pleasure to see you again. Now, before we begin there’s one small matter, a contract setting out payment.”
-
"Alright. Whats the payment?"
-
“Time and knowledge. For every second I teach you you owe me one second of your time, and for every spell I teach you, you will demonstrate one of your gravity spells to me.”
-
"I don't have enough spells for that, man. I have like, six, tops."
-
“Give me a moment to think then...”
-
"..."
-
“Then perhaps we’ll just double the time commitment then, hm?”
-
"Do you think healing magic knowledge takes twelve seconds, dude?"
