"Okay. Just let me head home to grab some things and I'll start." And with that, Nat had left. She returned about an hour later, her staff and armour gone and replaced by a strange outfit. She had on a maid costume for the laughs, with the whole nine yards - The little headpiece, stockings, all of that. She had a black bag in her hands full of fresh ingredients, and she knocked on the door soon upon arriving. "Hello?"
-
Angie opened the door and smiled faintly as she let her in.
-
Natalie entered and went straight to the kitchen, where she prepared a nice steak meal.
-
Verdantus showed up shortly thereafter, draw by the smell of steak.
-
Natalie made three steaks, one for each of the people she was cooking for. When she was done, she called each of them into the didlning room she presumed he had and put them on the table.
-
The three sat down, Rosa giving her a curious glance but shrugging at a nod from Ver, and they tucked in.
-
Natalie sat at the end of the table and waited for the verdict on how the meal was.
-
They all seem to really enjoy it. Abbie nods approvingly at her. “Well, I see I got the better end of this deal.” Jokes Verdantus as he wipes his mouth. ”No kidding.” Says Rosa before tearing into the steak like a fox after a henhouse.
-
Nat watched hem eat with enjoyment, though she eventually grabbed her phone from a pocket in her clothes and started to do her own thing while they ate.
-
After they finished, Angie took the plates and got to washing, Rosa headed off to study, and Verdantus got up, motioning for her to follow him.
-
Natalie stood and pocketed her phone, before following.
-
They head out into a circular room where Verdantus stops. “So, magical healing.”
-
"Yup. Where do I start?"
-
“First, with the principle. How do you think magic healing works?”
-
"I have no clue. That's why I'm here. "
-
“Good, you’re humble. Healing magic works in two ways. The simpler way is enhancing the body to heal itself at a rapid rate, and the more complicated way is creating new flesh and integrating it into the body.”
-
"Like, necromancy? I think I'll stay away from the undead, thanks."
-
“No. Not resurrecting the dead, creating new tissue to graft into the living, like making a heart to transplant into a living body.”
-
"So I would grow a heart?"
-
“Not exactly. You would create a heart, entirely from scratch, and then integrate it into the body. It’s a bloody complicated technique that usually involves Transmutation, Anatomy, and Alchemy in addition to normal healing magic to work, but you can use it to heal what would otherwise be permanent injuries.”
-
"Interesting. I like that concept."
-
“Yes, but for the foreseeable future we’ll stick to the simple.”
-
"Alright. So, what's first?"
-
He hands her a piece of raw bacon. “Channel energy through this without cooking it.
-
"Seriously? Bacon will help with magic?"
