Namesake James's Grave, 12:47 A Titan held his helmet tucked under his right arm. The man had pale skin, greyish-blue eyes, and dark brown, almost back hair, that was combed to the side. He knelt down in front of the grave, as a sign of respect to the fallen fellow Titan. His gem-purple Ghost floated at his shoulder. The two inspected the grave. The Titan's armor was mismatched. "So this is the grave of my namesake," David sighed. "I still don't understand why your mother named you after this asshat," the Ghost asked, her voice sounded like that of a teenage girl, "She must have hated you." "She loved me. She just wanted me to redeem his name," he replied, chuckling. "This guy was one of the first Sentinels, you know?" Amethyst replied. He summoned his shield, placing it on the Titan's grave. David sighed, "I probably have a lot to redeem for him." "You do."
Open. Intro.
• “Hey you wanna finish up the whole sob story shit so I can clean the corpse?” A voice said, a mechanized and rather wild-sounding voice. The man standing behind him stood in a full suit of X-01 MKVI Advanced Tesla Power Armor. His M2A1 sat atop his right shoulder, the skull of an alpha deathclaw atop his left. A large knife was situated in a leg holster on the inside of his left leg, and two large revolvers sat at his hips. Two belts of .50BMG ammo crossed his chest, and on his back, beneath his Old World Flag cloak, an M240B, an M1918 BAR, and a machete. On the rear of his waist, a sawback Bowie, and an M1911 in a shoulder holster. The helmet he wore was still spattered with blood, and the insignia of the Cobalt Phoenix graced his chest-plate. He had garnered some new trophies in his time, a ragged NCR flag that he was using as bandana, covering the lower half of his helmet. Another flag, a Civil War Confederate battle flag was wrapped around his upper left bicep. In his hand, he held an old and rather rusty shovel.

  • David was startled, as he turned around. He jumped back, falling.

The armored man approached, gesturing with the shovel. “Ya done now? I mean, I ain’t tryin’ to get in the way of your moment or anything, but, uh... yeah...” There was most certainly something off-putting about his enthusiasm for taking the belongings of the deceased.

  • "Dude. This guy has nothing to give you. Sure, he was a Guardian and all, but. You know digging up graves is disrespectful."

  • “Oh Christ you’re one of those people?” He sighed, sounding aggravated. “Do I really look like I give a f*ck about corpse boy down there? I just wanna dig ‘im up, take anything he’s got, and I’ll put him back. I ain’t got use for a dead man.” He said, planting his shovel firmly in the ground by the headstone. “Respect... Jesus...” He broke into a laugh, dumbfounded at the fact that the other person seemed to care about the dead. Maybe he should’ve just shot and asked questions later. Probably would have been a better bet. Less talking, more stuff to steal.

  • "Don't worry. I'm not going to stop you," David said, looking to a angry charging Titan. "He will." The man saw a flaming, oversized, chizled mallet flying at him. The fiery Titan suncharged towards the man as he got closer.

  • For a man covered in weapons, his movement was precise, swift, and most certainly practiced. The Courier had been attacked by things far more terrifying than a guy with flaming hammers... namely the person who’s insignia he still carried out of respect. The hammer hit him and sent him sliding back in the dirt, but as far as damage went, his armor looked singed but still solid. The massive .50 caliber machine gun on his shoulder immediately swung to aim at the oncoming assailant as it roared to life, sending a steady stream of Mk. 211 Raufoss APHEI rounds directly at the charging target, each packed with an incendiary compound, an explosive compound, and a high-density tungsten penetrator rod designed to punch through medium hard armor. While he knew the incendiary wouldn’t do much, the explosive force and the penetrator dart would do serious damage. There wasn’t going to be much chance in dodging, either, considering the gun’s fire rate. Along with the deafening roar of the gun, there was a a crackling and humming as the juggernaut’s shielding systems came online, bright sparks and arcs of energy leaping across his armor as he stood his ground. “Damn y’all are too pissy about worm food!” He laughed. Something was certainly off about him.

  • The other Titan died. David's void shield flew to his left arm, as he pulled the Dark-Drinker off his back, in his right hand.

  • “Look I just wanted to steal some shit from a dead guy and now you made me kill someone...” He said, sounding slightly inconvenienced, his weapon shifting to the individual before him, barrel smoking as he waited for a moment to see if the other individual was going to stand down.

  • Instead of focusing on the shield with his big gun, he focused on the man who threw it, firing the weapon again at the remaining individual. The shield hit his chest moments after, and the energy surrounding it seemed to dissipate and fade upon contact with his shielding, though the shield again pushed him back a bit, and left a scar across his chestplate. From his bandolier, he withdrew the hilt of a sword, a salvaged Imperial Plasma Saber, which he promptly ignited should his opponent survive the onslaught of .50 BMG armor-piercing incendiary rounds that his Browning was currently firing. The other Titan had been revived, and had a Rocket Launcher with a shark face. He mounted the launcher on his shoulder and fired.

  • The second individual who had thrown the shield was more than likely full of shrapnel and bleeding out if not already dead. Deeming that satisfactory, the Courier had turned the machine gun to the rocket-wielding individual who had just gotten back up. “Aight that’s some bullshit I don’t get revives like that!” He growled, pounding away at his opponent, and shifting his position so as to put himself out of the rocket’s path. That was when he noticed the little floaty things next to them. “Yo do the f*ckin’ balls you got there revive you? Yo, I will totally piss off with the whole grave robbing and murdering you if you get me one of those.” He said, excited by the potential that had.

  • The Rocket Launcher dude's Ghost sounded like Doomfist. It looked like its shell was in fire. "Hey! Hey! Hey! Get the f**k away from me, asshole!" The Shield Titan's Ghost was purple, and she floated around in circles.

  • “YO HOLY SHIT YOU TALK?! Damn I thought I was on drugs for a minute... wait... no... yeah I’m clean... for right now.” He said, in genuine amazement. “So... do you guys get sold somewhere? Somewhere preferably I can rob?” He asked.

  • "No we're not sold!" The purple Ghost yelped. She souned like a teenager. The purple one revived the shield-wielder. The Rocket launcher one kept firing the launcher. The shield one started firing a scout rifle.

  • “Well that ain’t worth my time...” The scout rifle rounds plinked off of the assailant’s armor, doing minimal damage to him, if any at all. Using the time between the rocket’s firing while repositioning himself to get out of the way of the rockets being fired at him, the Courier fired his M2 at the launcher, the rounds tearing through it and into the wielder’s arm, peppering him with shrapnel and keyholing rounds. For the time being, he paid little attention to the one with the scout rifle. He’d hatched his plan. First he had to eliminate the main threat.

  • A walking Goat passed by, stopping and watching. "What the hell...." She sighed, putting her journal away. "What is this?" Her paws made virtually no sound on the grass, and she seemed warm despite being only dressed in a tank top and sweatpants. Then again, she had fur.
