Is boosting allowed?

I've run into a fair amount of people claiming to be boosted and a few claiming to be boosters. and it got me wondering if it's even allowed. And if not, should it be? Obviously there's a difference between letting your friend play for a few matchs verses paying someone to boost your account. So for this question, it's specifically about if paying for boosting is allowed or if it puts your account at risk, and if it doesn't, should it?

  • A few people seem to be confused about the specifics of what I'm referring when I say "boosting". What I mean by boosting is not playing with people you know, it is not playing with random people who carry you to victory. What I mean is paying someone 'x' amount and having them login as you on their (console/computer) and play for a time to bring you up to a specified level, light level, or for materials or mission completions. And yes this is an actual thing that happens, and yes I do have proof of this being sold online. (it's not hard to find at all just Google it)
