Dale's suit of armor was made to resist heat- lucky for him. Even better, his helmet had ventilation on the back, so when the smoke became serious he'd be alright. Instead of firing at the staircase, he threw the thick, double bladed, semi-long handled axe at his opponent as she fired the laser. It was moving at incredible speeds, and her actions would give her little time to react- if at all. Dale changed its weight to max before it would crash into his enemy.
