"I didn't know there'd be cameras."
She said, uncharacteristically shyly. The girl was seemingly pressing against the back of her seat in an attempt to hide from the looks and cameras from the audience and crew.
Alpha actually looked scared, something that only happened when she was being tortured usually

See, as soon as you start laying your difficulties bare, for the world to see, is a difficult but astounding first task in overcoming the darkness that will continue to fall down on you unless you seek help.”
-
"Look Dr. Phil, I'm not doing this with cameras. I've been stabbed, shot, tortured, hunted. I'm done with it all." She said, a note of pleading entering her voice
-
The doctor would look at her with considering eyes. Before jotting something down quickly in his note book, while keeping eye contact. He would then look to the cameramen and raise his pencil to his neck, and cut the air across it. Alpha would see the cameras lower, so that they were facing the ground. “I hope that’s better, we wouldn’t want you in a place that made you uncomfortable now.” He told Alpha.
-
She motioned to the mic clipped to the outside of her purple hoodie. "This too." She said, hoping he'd take this one last concession.
-
“Feel free.” He said, motioning to the glass of water beside her.
-
She took it off, and placed it (now switched off) on the table beside her "Alright. Now what was the question?"
-
“Why are you here, Alpha?” The doctor asked, jotting down something else on his note pad.
-
"As in here here or here in the studio?" She asked
-
“As in, why have you come seeking help? And what for?”
-
"Honestly I just came cause I had to." She said honestly "It was that or get booted."
-
“Booted? Care to explain what you mean by that?”
-
"y'know...deported." She said sheepishly
-
“Interesting, are you saying the dojo sensei’s threatened to excommunicate you unless you came here?”
-
"I dunno. I just got a message. Not a lot of people are tolerant of others with fur." She reminded the doctor by implication of the Furry Hunts
-
He furrowed her brow at his response. “Ah, yes. You’re one with an animal complexion, thus you were subjected to such horrors that were the fur hunts. You have the people of dojoville on your side however, believe it or not. Many of them found the atrocity...revolting. Disgusting. Isn’t that right folks?” He would ask the audience, getting many audible “yes’s” and a few claps in response. “So, there’s no need to be afraid here. Everyone here sympathizes with you, and wants to help.”
-
"You'd be surprised. Even with my mic off, the cameras are there. Everyone wants to do their good deed for the day, but nobody wants to work for it." She said tiredly "nobody looks like a racist until they open their mouths."
-
“You speak wise words, Alpha. But you’ll find that, in living life, putting your faith in others allows them to only sympathize and appreciate you more. But of course, solving the race issues in dojoville isn’t so simple, and all I can do is apologize on my part for not finding a way to help. I hope this will suffice. Anyways, you spoke of torture before. I’m aware that you are a famed soldier around Tatakai, and I am positive you have been through many a struggle. Would you care to share your experience with us?”
-
"Since we're practically speaking mano y mano, sure. I was part of the Arrowhead. We raided the NTR Hermes and afterwards were forced into a penal legion. I had to fight my way out to avoid getting the lynch mob treatment by an allied faction of the NTR." She said shakily, before pausing "Then I was kidnapped, tortured, and sexually assualted by a man named only Ian. He branded me in rather...private areas, and proceeded to forcefully de-claw me as painfully as possible." She stopped "There's more. I don't want to talk about it"
-
“I understand...you don’t have to.” Doctor Malcolm would say. Alpha would see his eyes welling up upon hearing her tale as he jotted something down in his note pad again. Was he....for real? “How have you been dealing with this experience, Alpha? A common answer to something like sexual assault is cowardice, but you announce it to your peers with near confidence.”
-
She laughed "I don't think I can't. Not after the endless shit I've been through."
-
“I see, so you have not sought further solutions for this trauma outside of this show? No substance abuse? Self harm?”
-
"Self harm? That's an easy way out." She avoided the substance abuse "There aren't any solutions. Just patch jobs."
-
“Ah, That is where you are mistaken my girl.” Malcolm said after he sipped his glass of water. “See, there is help. That help, is us. Your peers. Those around you who you may think are hostile, can actually be your friends.”
-
At 'my girl' it was obvious he had hit something rather.....odious. "Don't call me that." She snapped "It's not my fault I don't trust my 'peers' when they're the ones advocating for my hunting and torture elsewhere! Outside of this goddamn millennial safe space is an ugly world where you're on your own."
-
“No.” Malcolm would then say. He said it with a certain forcefulness, while remaining gentle in his composure. “The world is only lonely, if you make it that way for yourself.”
