Bedlam had already hit the ground...or would've if it weren't for a portal opening at the last second and then closing.
He was then shot back up into the air elsewhere from the momentum of falling, Dale's axe in hand. He threw said axe towards Zane before rolling onto the ground and behind another piece of cover.
