BEDLAM VS DALE
Bedlam and Dale stood on opposite sides of the blank arena. Suddenly a large dark ball of energy formed above the arena, in the centre. It was forty stories up, so the two wouldn’t be able to reach it. But then.....
Nothing else happened. The blank arena remained stagnant.
Then, Haakon would speak.
“HAHAHAAAA! I LOVE A GOOD TWIST! Now, Dale and Bedlam...FIGHT! FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE!!!”

Dale looked at the ball, then to his opponent 50 meters away. Bedlam was just in range of his gun, but he'd have to be carful. The little cover would offer no chance to hide his reload. Instead of reading back to throw his axe, it remained at his side. Dale lowered himself into a hunch, his forearm guards covering his face, and his chest covered by his hunch and lower parts of the guards. He pushed his feet against the ground, cracking it as his rapid lunges would bring him in range, and quickly.
-
Edited by Stitch: 12/20/2017 4:59:54 PM"No one introduces themselves anymore..." Bedlam waited until Dale got a lot closer before lunging forward quickly as well, forming and swinging a metal bat at Dale's head as he passed. "Swing!"
-
The bat would slam... Directly into the forearm guards he had raised to protect his face from before. All he needed to do was slightly turn them, of at all. Pivoting, Dale used his non guard arm to strike a punch at Bedlam's exposed lower ribs. What Bedlam didn't know, was that Dale had switched off the electric functions of the suit, learning from his previous errors.
-
"Forgot about those..." Bedlam had swung mid lunge, causing him to keep moving with his momentum and land on his feet a small distance away. The punch did little more than push him as he moved with it. "...stupid things."
-
Rather than wait, Dale pulled the SMG out with his left hand, and fired half the mag at Bedlam's mid section, only a small distance away. The bullets were small, but made up for its extreme rate of fire. About 25 bullets would reach him with little time to react.
-
"Thank you, Zane..." The rounds stopped before they reached Bedlam, stopped by a ward, they then fired right back at Dale while Bedlam ran from his opponent. "Strategic retreating is a thing, right?" He called over his shoulder.
-
Thankfully, Dale's armor was heavy, and the bullets were not very big. Small dents were made as they plinked against his armor. Dale picked the axe up from his side and charged forward, throwing after Bedlam, directly towards his back. Dale's leaping bounds would bring him closer to his opponent as time went on.
-
Bedlam, having preemptively known the axe was to be thrown, rolled to the side as it whizzed by. "Predictable much, Dale? Hey, remember Victoria?" He then formed a boltor in hand, one that Dale had fought before, and fired a round at Dale's feet.
-
"I never payed attention to what her name was. Don't remember if I asked." Dale used his foot to push himself in the direction Bedlam rolled, only slightly. He used the explosion to push him the rest of the way, landing far away from Bedlam, but also in front. Bedlam's arm would probably be very messed up by now, and and the shot would have been very inaccurate due to the recoil. Now infront of Bedlam, Dale used the stagger of the recoil to pull his axe back right after it passed Dale's opponent to hit him in the back full force.
-
Bedlam wasn't dumb, the moment Dale tried to move so he was between him and the axe, he moved as well and the recoil did very little to his accuracy since he only fired a single shot. With his perfectly fine arms, he just fired again at his now closer target's feet.
-
Edited by Atom: 12/21/2017 4:43:09 PMDale had to roll to the side once more to avoid the explosion again, considering Bedlam fired so slow, he'd have plenty of time to react. Rather than wait for the next shot, Dale fired his remaining bullets in the mag towards Bedlam, using his strength once more to blast himself forward while firing. The force of the explosion wouldn't have done much, and the heat would have, had his armor not been designed to resist it.
-
The boltor vanished as Zane's ward protected Bedlam again, returning the fire. Meanwhile, Bedlam formed Zane's rocket boots and thrusted himself backwards to get a few dozen feet away before they vanished as well.
-
Deciding that now was his chance to reload, Dale did so, and went back to pushing off the ground in an attempt to reach his opponent. His gun was fully loaded once more:
-
Suddenly however, he was sent flying back through the air and landed harmlessly on the ground. The ground shook, and suddenly a massive structure began to grow from the ground, right below the dark orb that loomed above the arena. It was a square shaped tower, made of a sleet white stone. There didn’t seem to be any good way of scaling it unless someone had the tools, and like the rest of the arena it didn’t seem to be breakable. It rose from the ground, and ascended high up until it stopped just below the orb. The tower, the two fighters assumed, was 18ft by 18ft, making it more of a spire if anything. And there was no way to enter.
-
Almost immediately, Dale ran and pushed up against the pillar. He smelled the air for Bedlam, so he's know which direction he was coming from and be ready- if not, Dale could devise a plan of his own.
-
Bedlam stared up at the spire with interest before using Zane's boots to fly up to the top and walk around. He looked over the edge and down at Dale. "Huh...." He made a little pebble and dropped it on Dale's head.
-
The pebble was met by 3 bullets. Rocket boots were not hard to hear, and could easily tell where Bedlam was. The bullets would head straight at the hand that dropped the pebble.
-
Bedlam shook his hand as he brought it back from the edge, a hole in the center. He sighed as the small hole slowly began to close itself up. "That wasn't very nice....I do have an idea though." A bucket filled with water formed beside the edge, which he kicked off so the water would land on Dale. "Why you trying to rain on my parade, man?"
-
By now, Dale was looking up, and could clearly see the water fall as he side-stepped it. Frowning, he had some idea of what might happen, and turned off the battery in his suit to cause the shock. Leaning down, the ground made a boom as he leapt up, aiming his SMG at Bedlam and firing 3 bullets to cover his landing as he hit the top.
-
The rounds shot through Bedlam, causing him to fall onto his back for a moment in pain before the boots kicked in again and sent him flying away from the spire. He flew several dozen feet away from the spire as he positioned himself so he was facing Dale again. He formed the boltor and fired it again at Dale, but the kick caused him to almost flip in the air so he quickly discarded the weapon again.
-
Dale would be knocked off by the explosion, only saved by catching himself on the ledge with his axe, the weight keeping it still. His front, chest armor had been damaged, but not enough to cause worry. He struggled to pull himself up, and once there, tried to find his opponent. "Dang guns, givin' me a headache."
-
Bedlam was on the ground, staring up at Dale, firing the boltor upwards at him. "WHAT?! I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE GUNSHOTS!" He kept firing up until he ran out and then did a quick reload in under a second.
-
Dale decided that right now, being on top was the safest option. Bedlam's slowed shots would give him an idea of the intervals of which he could fire, but for now... Dale sniffed where Bedlam was and tossed the axe in the air over him, causing it to plummet down at his opponent with max weight. Using this to his advantage, he popped out from his high up cover at the distraction to shoot 5 bullets at Bedlam.

The arena began to shake, and the black ball above them began to wobble and distort. Smoke began to cover sight from every direction, and something hit the ground in front of him. It was literally a thousand toddlers, all now running at him and giggling.
-
Confused at first, but realizing he didn't have time for this, Dale jumped off the pillar, landing with a loud thud. While his sight was blocked, his sense of hearing, and more specifically, smell, was not. He began to search for signs of body odor, to locate his opponent.
