"Son of a..." One of the Mandolorians muttered, punching the Corpus trooper in the helmet.
"If you're going to curse, curse in Mandolorian." The woman who had tossed the grenade commented, walking up and looking down at the soldier.
"Apologies ma'am, still don't understand why it's so important for us to remember."
"Because, Books.... Because it's a language. Language should never die." The woman knelt down in front of the Corpus trooper and snapped her fingers, trying to gain its attention.

“Well, that’s why they left the defending to the warriors who have technology beyond their control. Hell, there’s a universal Black Market in the Plains that no one even knows about; can’t exactly say I can blame ya. But right now, we’ve stretched our forces thin; you’re lucky that Hackett and Anderson were kind enough to send the 4th Fleet to come and defend you. Hell, why exactly are you complaining about us not defending this planet when you Mandalorians blew up two Death Stars and destroyed the Empire?” The 4th Fleet Leader asked Emilia.
-
"Oh, I'm not complaining Admiral. Merely stating the facts. We have an enemy coming, I'm not sure when but I know where." Emilia would gesture to the Void key.
-
He looks at the Void Key. “Arrows...do you even know who the hell these mean?” He asked Emilia.
-
"Corpus, most likely." Nathaniel stepped in for Emilia now, looking at the admiral. "If you remember correctly, there were multiple factions involved in the war on Takatai two months ago. Corpus had a small hand to play in it."
-
“Yet why would you’d think they’d invade this godforesaken planet? They’d get dropped harder than someone jumping into one of them Sarlacc Pits I hear about.” The Admiral tells them.
-
"It's like Ms... I'm sorry what was your name?" Marker spoke up, eyeing Emilia. "Emilia Grey. Daughter of Nathaniel and Sarah Grey." "Okay, what Ms. Grey is saying is that there is a force coming. It seems to understand what our main hub worlds are. Eden Prime, Harmony, Takatai. They are attacking and destroying prime locations that we could use to gather forces to fully counter them. If we lost our homeworlds, our trading worlds, then our morale goes with it. We won't find a war we can't see ourselves winning."
-
“I remember Tatakai had one of those ‘Void Portal’ thing-a-majics. We found one similar to that on Eden Prime yesterday.” The Admiral told them, pointing to the yellow glowing symbol on both Tatakai and Eden Prime. This meant that this wasn’t a race to take out trading centers... ...this was a race to collect as many Void Portals and Keys as possible.
-
"So... This isn't about taking out our worlds." Marker said, looking at the fleet admiral. "But it is about gathering the Void Keys. If every single planet shown has a void key, that would open the floodgates to the entirety of the Infection we encountered..."
-
“Or worse.” Someone familiar (to Nate at least) said behind them, Bariss mediating there, earning guns raised at her.
-
"Lower your weapons.." Nathaniel pivoted around and strode towards Bariss, embracing in an awkward hug. "I thought you had died, my friend... Died with all the others.."
-
“No...Trust me, the Infested claimed a lot of us. Not all of us, though.” She says, the Marines lowering their weapons. “Who’s this?” The Admiral asked them, referring to Bariss.
-
"This... This is Bariss..." Nathaniel said, stepping away from her as he turned to look at the admiral. "Fellow dojo member, and a one of the key reasons we succeeded in destroying and expelling the Imperial and Infection forces here."
-
“He’s right, you know.” Bariss tells them, the Admiral questioning the possibility of the Tenno standing in front of him. “Trust me, everyone gets used to this after a while.” She says...though of course, she didn’t have any mouth. So instead, the Tritnity Prime simply had where her mouth would be glowing red every time she spoke.

Edited by Royal Blade: 12/21/2017 12:51:13 PM"... Any friend of yours is a friend of ours, Captain." Marker said, nodding his head toward Bariss. "Thank you, Colonel. The Mandolorian order has done much for our galaxy and even this one, I hope that our work is not... Overlooked." Nathaniel responded, looking at the fleet admiral admiral.
-
The Fleet Admiral stood silent. “Nonetheless, they’ll be after the Void Portals within these cities. If the Stalker of all people is behind this..” She shuddered at the thought.
-
"We have a war to win, Admiral. Before anything else, we have to defeat the IMC and Cerberus." Marker said coldly, nodding his head to Nathaniel. "We thank you for presenting us with this information, but we have other priorities to attend to. Namely, this war." "And I respect that, Colonel. But preparing for what may come should be just as important." Nathaniel quickly argued, looking at Marker.
-
“That’s true. The 4th Fleet will prepare for when the war comes here.” The Admiral says.
-
Edited by Royal Blade: 12/21/2017 1:19:22 PM"Then... We will do both. We are expecting an influx of New Republic reinforcements any day now. We will prepare for war and fight this war." Marker, grudgingly, agreed. "Good... Good..." Nathaniel sighed in relief, relaxing his shoulders.
-
“Then let’s prepare and kick ass on all fronts.” The Alliance Admiral said, pretending to be a damn cowboy riding a horse, earning chuckles from his fellow Marines.
-
"I can drink to that!" Emilia laughed, turning to Nathaniel. "Maybe you could call some of your Mandolorian friends? Get these men some help??" Books suggested, speaking for the first time. "If the Admiral and Colonel needed troops, they can ask." Nathaniel said with a sharp tone, looking at Brooks through his visor.
-
“That’s On you. Right now, I need to attend to make sure these threats haven’t placed any probes in any nearby systems.” The Admiral states, leaving the table.
-
"I'll make sure our troops are ready to protect their homes and the homes of others if it comes down to it." Marker nodded his head, leaving the table as well. "So..." Nathaniel looked at Bariss and Emilia.
-
“I better head back to Khalosh. Void Portal’s mostly been quiet since. The Infested hadn’t been as rowdy as they had been before.” Bariss told them.
-
"Do you want the half key?" Nathaniel asked, gesturing to the key on the table.
-
“You keep it. Safer in your hands. I’ll be fine with what I have.” Bariss had told them, leaping off into the mountains.
