Chapter One - Across Tatakai
Winra Islands
For Jen, Sleek, and Frog.
Three boats were sent out, onwards to three separate islands.
According to Isabella's acquired information, the Tribune had acknowledged the presence of a paranormal anomaly, specifically originating from one of the more secluded areas of Tatakai: the Winra Islands, to be exact.

While the boats were travelling to their destinations, Issac leaned against a portion of the boat overlooking the bow of the ship, whistling as he continuously tossed an apple into the air, catching it on the way down. He had basically carried what was considered his fully arsenal: His Benelli M4, his MP-412, his blade an perhaps a few other things. If he was going into unknown territory, might as well go in fully armed.
-
Issac had been assigned to an island beyond both Rose's and Alpha's, one that was supposedly in current usage by the Tribune forces, yet the inhabitants traversed throughout it and Rose's target. Whatever the scenario was - as he landed on the beach's shore, he would see smoke in the distance. Likely a Tribune encampment.

Edited by Tamedfrog: 12/22/2017 5:48:36 AMTaking a bite out of his apple, he walked over to the bow of the ship, leaping off it and landing on the shore. From there, it would be a leisurely walk: he would go towards the plume of smoke, until he had reached some kind of camp. As soon as he saw it, he would go towards it, most of his snack finished.
-
The encampment seemed to have been something of a storage: the Tribune here were more modernized, with rifles and pistols upon their beings, though they had begun to pack runic statues and tattered books. It was odd: legitimate excavations, instead of mining. Issac would have to get closer. Catching a soldier off their guard for interrogation might work.
-
Biting off the last of the apple until it was down to its core, Issac began to crouch down low, sneaking up to the encampment until he was in range to see them properly. He tossed the remnants of the apple around a bit, keeping it so that he could perhaps use it as an distraction.
-
Indeed, one soldier would study the bits of apple: a young woman, seemingly an operator of a communications network, though she was still armed with a pistol, as she studied the remnants of apple. "Seriously.." She muttered. Subduing her and interrogating her was an option, seeing as she was alone.
-
A smirk began to form on Issac's mouth, as he saw an opportunity. She looked like someone important as well, being a communication operator of some sort. Issac quickly covered the ground between him and the woman, assuming that her back was turned. His footsteps had only made minimal noise as he snuck up to her, before bringing her to the ground with one arm, which was wrapped around her throat with a surprising amount of strength. This effectively allowed him to disarm her without her calling out for help, as he looked for a place where he could have a nice talk.
-
The woman would at least put up a struggle, beginning to thrash and push back against Issac, all the while he succeeded in disarming her. As for a place where he could hold a civil conversation with her.. there were a few emptied offices once used by soldiers whom had been moved, with "Unoccupied" and "occupied" signs. Or he could bring her to the outside of the camp, in the disguise of the island's foliage, and chat there.
-
"You know, you should stop struggling." Issac whispered to the woman, his hold tightening on her neck. "Or would you prefer not to breathe again?" He dragged the woman further into the foliage of the forest, since being in the offices would create some attention to him if he was conversing. Once he thought he had gotten far enough, he would place his right hand on her neck, with the same amount of strength from before. He would pin her to the ground, letting his left arm free.
-
From there, the woman would attempt to pry his fingers off with one hand, while staring up at Issac silently. Simple brown eyes stared up at his, filled with fear at hate. There was a humane terror in her expression, though she would try to resist nonetheless. "T-The hell do you want," She tried crying out, though it was futile. "Trayven scouts.. they go capturing civvies now?"
-
"Ya know, I prefer it if you cooperate with me here. If you answer everything truthfully, I'll let you walk away without a single scar. If you don't, well..." With his left hand, Issac would bring out his tanto, flipping the blade into the air before holding it in a reverse grip, pointing it down at the woman. The man would then sport a grin full of malice, his normally blue irises turning a void black. Something told her that he was anything but human. "Now... What's the big fuсkin' deal with those artifacts you all are digging up? You trying to search for something?"
-
"F-Fuсking hell," The operator's eyes widened then, her face turning a deathly pale as her thrashing suddenly stopped. Her gloved hand would rest upon Issac's, before retreating as she released a shaky sigh. "Okay. O-Okay. I.. I handle communications, that's it. We're collecting these runes because they're leading to something outside of this war - something's manipulating us to fight, we think - there's another island that's holding all of the runes, supposed to be more there.. and another that's abandoned.." She closed her eyes for a moment, sighing in a panicked manner before looking up again. "I-In the abandoned island, we encountered something there. Cut off all the comms and.. and sent us the remains."
-
Edited by Tamedfrog: 12/24/2017 1:47:04 AM'Hm, interesting.' Issac mused to himself. 'Something to inform the head honchos about.' "So, why abandon the island? Something there that scared the fuсk outta ya guys? Because it seems like it, from the way you're telling me here."
-
"Didn't just scare us.. Slaughtered, though, would be the right word. That place's off limits.." The woman sighed this time, yet she still remained still. There was still terror in those eyes, yet it seemed evident that she would at least try to fight back. If she had the chance, though another thought ran through her mind.
-
Issac's eyes would shift back to blue, the malicious smile now gone. Instead it was just replaced with a smirk. "Well, thanks. You've been a big help. Now..." Flipping his tanto, he rose it into the air, bringing it down handle-first. It would effectively knock her out, as he let go of her neck. "...be a good girl and stay right here."
-
She was knocked out, alright. Now, Issac had a general idea of what to do, and where to go: he could focus on the acquired runes on this island, perhaps see where they lead, or.. He could pick up on where Alpha had seemingly left off, as she had abandoned her island; the island that had been left entirely by Tribune forces.
-
He looked back to the encampment, as he sheathed his tanto back. Might as well gather some information about those runes. As he snuck back within range of the camp, he would scout out the area, trying to see how many of them were there, and what kind of firepower they were packing. Perhaps keep note of the terrain.
-
There were roughly fourteen other troops within the small encampment, with rather modernized weaponry: assault rifles, submachine guns, pistols, and modern swords and shields. Fourteen to one, and Issac had the element of surprise. Picking them off, one-by-one, could work.
-
Easy Prey. He planned out a path to take out the ones with the guns first, as they could provide to be troublesome. The ones with melee weapons would come next, since he could handle them easily if there were to be aware of his presence. He also took note of any weapon caches, if there were any.
-
There did seem to be a cache for weapons: a large armory, stocked with melee weapons, including swords, shields, and stun batons, alongside ballistic weaponry as well. They were stocked, but not for a full-scale assault, nor a surprise attack either.
-
An Idea began to pop into Issac's mind: it would probably alert everyone in the camp, but... He began to look for anything that could explode. Grenades, ammunition, anything similar that he could set fire on and blow up.
-
Conveniently.. there was a lot of ammunition in the armory, fitting enough, alongside boxes labeled "Flares", "Fire", and "Explosives". He would cause panic, but panic was an effective tactic after all.
-
Issac hummed in approval, as he began to dig through the armoury, pulling out some explosives to set down. If he was going to do this, might as well put on a show. After he had set up enough explosives to bring down the entire armoury, he looked at his handiwork for a few seconds before looking down to the grenade he was juggling around with a chuckle. Beginning to walk out of the armoury, he enchanted the grenade with his spellflame, whistling as he tossed it behind him after pulling out the pin. The explosive would spread to the others, making them burn twice as bright and twice as long, while leaving behind a blue spectacle. At that point he had walked out of the armoury, right into the open where everyone could see him while he was casually strolling like it was a Sunday afternoon. Then the show would start.
