Chapter One - Across Tatakai
Winra Islands
For Jen, Sleek, and Frog.
Three boats were sent out, onwards to three separate islands.
According to Isabella's acquired information, the Tribune had acknowledged the presence of a paranormal anomaly, specifically originating from one of the more secluded areas of Tatakai: the Winra Islands, to be exact.

"HEHAHAHAHAHAHA! WHEE-HAHAHAHAHA!" Issac's original plan was to just simply get information out of the man, but he proved a tough nut to crack. So he opted to do something else: strike terror into his heart, and leave a impression behind. The man was lucky that Issac was merciful today: there were some times that he wanted to see blood, and the screams of terror from his enemies. While choking his lights out, Issac willed the flames to spread into him, but made them weak enough to provide a burning sensation but not leave any lasting damage. When he would be rendered unconscious, Issac would drop him into the floor while snuffing all of the flames out.
-
As the man would fall to the ground, Issac would find himself.. alone, perhaps. Around him, the stunned bodies of men and women of the Tribune surrounding his own, lonesome, standing figure. The place had descended into silence. Issac would remember that the runes were stored.. somewhere, perhaps. A storage facility would be good to check, though exploring the off-limits island that Alpha had abandoned.. that would be a good idea, too.

Edited by Tamedfrog: 1/17/2018 12:25:43 PMAs Issac would turn around to survey his surroundings, he scrutinised the incapacitated men before saying some things. "Anybody else? Anyone? No? Okay then!" Remembering that the communications operator had mentioned something about runes, he began to search for the building that held them. Not before letting his pain take over him though, as he broke walls and other objects as he shouted obscenities. Then he would do that.
-
Soon, Issac would then find a fairly large building, the wall collapsing as he would break through it's structure. Within, crates stocked with broken structures and rock filled the interior of the building. They radiated with pure, unharnessed power, almost attempting to draw Issac in.
-
Coincidentally smashing into the building that he was looking for, Issac started to look around once his pain had gone away. "Huh... well, whaddaya know." He began to explore the building, trying to search for anything important, or if there was anything sticking out in particular.
-
What stuck out the most would be the energies that tugged away at him. The runes seemingly pulled at Issac's form, attempting to absorb his magical capabilities. One bright red rune had begun to pull away at him, with much more effort than the others. Around it, in fact, he would feel drowsy, tired by.. whatever this was.
-
Definitely not getting near that one. Issac made sure that he was at least fifteen metres away from the red rune, the others didn't bother him that much. He began to look for documents in this place, anything that could give him some information on those runes that tried to suck out his magic. Perhaps some insight on what the guy he interrogated said as well...
-
The documented reports on such runes seemed to be just as confused as Issac was: they were filled with more questions than actual answers - where had these runes originated from, what their purpose truly was, why they were here. The rune of red had only begun to grow stronger as if hungering for Issac, though he became unaffected once he created distance between himself and the rock.
-
Issac sighed, shaking his head as he placed down the documents. Still nothing, huh? He didn't really want to sit around all day, doing nothing while the others did who knows what. Eventually Issac would turn his attention to the red rune, sighing. He would unstrap his shotgun, pointing it at the rune while pumping in a fresh shell. He needed something to shoot, maybe that would do. A loud bang echoed throughout the room, as a chunk of the rune would break off from the buckshot pellets.
-
The rune would quiver with sudden energy before releasing a sudden, high-pitched screeching sound, like metal being scraped and drug around, grinding into a solid surface. The remaining stones would crack and shatter, as red energy would swarm throughout the room. Issac felt himself.. disconnecting, almost. His vision became blurred as a nauseous feeling entered his mind. Something was terribly wrong..
-
Issac thought he had swore... no, he definitely DID swear. Stumbling back and cursing as he covered his ears and letting his shotgun strapped onto his chest hang loose, he started half-limping, half sprinting towards the hole in the wall. He never spent any moment unconscious: in fact, he never slept or anything at all. A result of his mutations was that he never got fatigued, nor get knocked out. If he did, well, he'd stand up within a few seconds, most likely unamused or pissed. Hopefully he'd see whatever was happening to him if the rune made him pass out.

Edited by Weeaboo Of War: 2/15/2018 12:12:31 PMWhenever he did stand up, a searing pain scorched his head as he faced the cracked rune, the light exerting itself from the wound within the rock both brilliant and yet terribly bright. Doubled visions of the same objects pierced through Issac's own eyesight. In the haze of it all, the room began to quiver and break down, other broken runes beginning to be coated and then absorbed into the brilliance that swarmed the shattered room. Wood and debris fell past Issac, shattering into pieces. It would be best to get going, while he was already moving towards the path in the wall.
-
Issac would continue to repeatedly curse and swear as he passed through the home in the wall, almost bumping his shoulder on it. From there he would start getting away from the structure as far away as possible, before the red tune did whatever it was doing.
-
Past Issac's being, other buildings had begun to rumble and break down, crumbling to the earth. Their wooden structures splintered into a hundred pieces, stone cracked and shattered as buildings came falling upon the earth. Tornadoes of scrap and splinters flew past Issac, swirling throughout the muddy area as if forming.. something, behind him.
-
Seeing all the debris converging past him, he turned around, bringing up the shotgun and pumping in a fresh shell. He had no idea what the hell was going on, and he clearly didn't like it at all. He aimed at where all the debris was going, slowly backing away from it.

Alpha sat there, grimacing. Her armor kept her cool and covered under the sun, so exposure wasn't an issue. However, her Sparrowhawk would be more efficient, and could possibly find the anomaly faster..but....Libertas shit. She was a little hesitant to even look at her new sword, considering....she hadn't much training in blades and melee, relying solely on her shooting ability. "56 bottles of beer on the wall, 56 bottles of beer......take one down, pass it around, 55 bottles of beer on the wall...."
-
Alpha had been assigned to an island that had been used by the Tribune in the past few weeks, before the taking of Khalosh by Trayven forces, though it seemed to have been abandoned by the enemy forces soon enough. Yet she had a map that lead to where they once encamped at: as she landed on the shore of the beach, she would learn that she had to get moving.
-
She gathered her gear and set inland, her HUD displaying the direction she needed to go on a compass and small topographical map downloaded from an orbiting satelite. She had her gun at the ready, considering there was a high chance the enemy might just be waiting for Trayven forces to arrive.
-
So far, she had nothing, as she would come across an abandoned encampment. The buildings were old and coated in ash, as if burnt, some of them collapsed entirely. An excavation tunnel seemed to be locked up, as if intentional.. investigating the past offices would be useful, though, for background information.
-
Rose stood on the bow, a bit of a hopeful look about her. She was finally searching for Niki, and with the gift she had from the women, she could do it even easier. The question was just where she was.
-
Rose would be sent to an island with the most sightings of Tribune scribes and soldiers, seemingly infested with their troops as if they were searching for something. When she reached the beach, she could see smoke in the distance: a campfire, no doubt. Uncovering the camp would be a start.
-
She pushed forward then, determined more than ever to find answers. Pulling her shotgun from her back, she pumped the lever, clambering a shell.
-
Whenever Rose would uncover the Tribune encampment, she would find the troops there to be more.. modernized, yet focused more on what looked like a mining operation. A massive hole was dug into the ground, while two miners, a male and female, spoke up. "Jera, you can't seriously leave now.." "And why not, Alex? There's nothing but dark sorcery here! Things that those Trayvens in the mountains found. Things that shouldn't be here." "This is why we fight. To establish peace! To find common ground between Trayve and ourselves.. and whatever these beings are." "Beings? You mean the woman?" "What? You're drinking too much again.."
-
Beings.... Niki? She got as close as possible, her natural bandit sense kicking in, as she kept out of sight and light on her feet. Whatever was going on, she needed to see for herself.
-
The male would break away from his companion then, relaxing on his own. A source of information through an interrogation, perhaps. Though moving into the mining shaft, or investigating the offices, would work well too.
