Bedlam shook his hand as he brought it back from the edge, a hole in the center. He sighed as the small hole slowly began to close itself up.
"That wasn't very nice....I do have an idea though."
A bucket filled with water formed beside the edge, which he kicked off so the water would land on Dale.
"Why you trying to rain on my parade, man?"

By now, Dale was looking up, and could clearly see the water fall as he side-stepped it. Frowning, he had some idea of what might happen, and turned off the battery in his suit to cause the shock. Leaning down, the ground made a boom as he leapt up, aiming his SMG at Bedlam and firing 3 bullets to cover his landing as he hit the top.
-
The rounds shot through Bedlam, causing him to fall onto his back for a moment in pain before the boots kicked in again and sent him flying away from the spire. He flew several dozen feet away from the spire as he positioned himself so he was facing Dale again. He formed the boltor and fired it again at Dale, but the kick caused him to almost flip in the air so he quickly discarded the weapon again.
-
Dale would be knocked off by the explosion, only saved by catching himself on the ledge with his axe, the weight keeping it still. His front, chest armor had been damaged, but not enough to cause worry. He struggled to pull himself up, and once there, tried to find his opponent. "Dang guns, givin' me a headache."
-
Bedlam was on the ground, staring up at Dale, firing the boltor upwards at him. "WHAT?! I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE GUNSHOTS!" He kept firing up until he ran out and then did a quick reload in under a second.
-
Dale decided that right now, being on top was the safest option. Bedlam's slowed shots would give him an idea of the intervals of which he could fire, but for now... Dale sniffed where Bedlam was and tossed the axe in the air over him, causing it to plummet down at his opponent with max weight. Using this to his advantage, he popped out from his high up cover at the distraction to shoot 5 bullets at Bedlam.

The arena began to shake, and the black ball above them began to wobble and distort. Smoke began to cover sight from every direction, and something hit the ground in front of him. It was literally a thousand toddlers, all now running at him and giggling.
-
Confused at first, but realizing he didn't have time for this, Dale jumped off the pillar, landing with a loud thud. While his sight was blocked, his sense of hearing, and more specifically, smell, was not. He began to search for signs of body odor, to locate his opponent.
-
The boltor vanished as he easily side stepped the axe that fell at a rather slow speed. The rounds were stopped by Zane's ward again, firing back up at Dale. "...This is going to last a while."

The arena began to shake, and the black ball above them began to wobble and distort. Smoke began to cover sight from every direction, and something hit the ground in front of him. A man stood there, in jeans and a flannel shirt. He just sighed, and looked at Bedlam. “Goddammit... Dude, can we hurry this up? I have to pick up my daughter from swim practice then head to work. I’m only here so I can pay off my mortgage.”
-
"Uhh. Well, I don't know how long you're going to be there or who you are, but as long as I'm not getting shot at do you wanna like, sit and talk?" A table and two chairs appeared, Bedlam sitting down in one.
-
The guy sat down, just looking at Bedlam. “Alright... My name is Dave. This is not what I expected at all.”
-
"No? Were you just walking around when you suddenly got sent here or something?" Bedlam rested his feet up on the table.
-
“Nah. I’m paid to be here. Listen man, can we like hurry this up? I need to go get to work in a bit and I haven’t taken a shower.”
-
"I have have no control over how long you stay here, man. You're sorta stuck until they put you back, sorry." He shrugged.
-
“Wasn’t talking to you, sorry. Talking to the guy who put me here. It’s rather shitty, honestly. Yeah... If you ever meet my daughter don’t tell her I curse. She doesn’t like it.”
-
"I won't if I somehow ever meet her..." Bedlam tapped his finger on the table. "...How much longer?"
-
Sniff. Dale found his opponent, the smell of smoke still on his clothes, his boots. Dale aimed his axe, as he could not see far through the fog, and chucked it at a curve, to hit Bedlam in the side. He then pulled his gun, firing in a wide area around his opponent.
-
Dale would just hear silence as Bedlam heard the gunshots from the opposite side Dale had just fired. He looked over to see Dave was gone and sighed before standing up while making the table and chairs vanish. At least knowing about the smell thing helped here...I was kinda getting into my conversation with Dave though. He was mildly interesting. He pulled the boltor out again, firing a shot at Dale from behind.

Edited by Atom: 12/22/2017 10:19:54 PMThe boltor blew him back a foot, his back armor slightly hurt from the fire, though it was thicker and offered more protection. He flicked his right hand and the axe came back- however with his opponent located once more, he charged forward, firing three bullets in the direction the boltor shot fired from.
-
The boltor vanished as Bedlam summoned the ward to redirect the bullets back at Dale once more. He then began to walk away, forming an illusion of himself where he just stood with a boltor. The only defining trait of the illusion being the fact that the eyes were silver rather than Bedlam's red eyes.
-
As Dale charged, the bullets plinked on him yet again, a constant struggle. However instead of swinging the axe at Bedlam, he threw it directly at the illusion, calling it back as soon as it entered the body.
-
The illusion fell over, making a fake grunt of pain as Bedlam continued to slip through the fog. He made his way behind Dale as he was distracted.
-
Boom. The signature sound of Dale's feet leaving the ground rang out as he sprung forward shoulder charging the illusion and attempting to push it into the night like fog.
-
Dale would just fly through the illusion, hitting nothing, but air. Meanwhile; Bedlam fired the boltor three times at Dale's back.
-
They would explode and launch him forward. His back armor would be damaged by the shots, but not as much as the front armor was. Skidding to a stop, Dale pushed off the ground, away from the shots and placing his back to the pillar once more. Axe in hand, he searched for a signal with his sight and smell. Obviously, Bedlam had messed with his nose, so Dale chose something different. He'd smell where Bedlam was, or rather, where he was not. Bedlam was not where he appeared to be, so Dale would simply be ready for the next shots to come from a direction where Bedlam wasn't. Knowing this, he'd be able to react faster to his opponent's actions.
