lol .. it's honestly ridiculous. people are just upset about the way it operates. You get 9 bright engrams a week at an accelerated rate (about 1500 silver if you want to put it that way). Oh, and the 15 engrams you got from going 20 to 25. [ if you play 3 characters.] That's over 40 engrams since the DLC dropped, until now. For $0. People [id like to guess the millennials] are impatient to wait for Tess' cycle to sell what they want, so are insisting the engrams not be "random" . They want ghosts, sparrows, and ships to be obtainable in gameplay; which is a reasonable request, as they used to be available that way. **[which iron banner, the factions, and future raid will include, according to a tweet by CB]** They are upset that a new "cool" set of armor is available that they can't "grind" for. When in reality they can, just not in the way they want. As everything will be sold for dust at one point, which can be acquired by dismantling other Tess items that aren't of interest. [millennials*] want EVERYTHING handed to them on a "silver" platter. When instead, they should just get a job instead of relying on mommy's credit card. [if there is really something you can't live without...in a virtual world...lol]

 • You can only get 9 dawning engrams throughout the whole event on all characters :/

 • It's called bright dust..youll get a minimum 27 illuminated engrams, if you play, which can all be changed into it...do you really need every little thing she has to offer?

 • Are you defending the eververse? People aren't complaining because of the bright engrams, those are grindable. People are complaining because 95% of the items from the dawning are locked behind a pay wall... So you are either defending Bungie because you are in love with the studio/ a blind fan boy or you really don't see the issue. Also you speak of bright dust, where do you grind... oh wait, you can't grind for bright dust, just dismantle things that give you 7 to 100 bright dust per item. So depending what you've bought with that is going to set you at about 1600-2500 at the beginning of the event. Next time when you are going to defend something, use a defense that can't be easily picked apart.....

 • It's an MMO. No one wants to play a slot machine when they thought they were playing an MMO. I remember playing WoW and they had things like mounts and small pets as vanity items. All these things you could get from doing activities. No by playing slots.

 • Umm it's built into the game. Not much of an option. I got every exotic vanity last season and I never put a dime into EV. I just played a lot in the first season. That doesn't mean I felt any since of achievement from getting them. That is what is lacking. It should be fun getting those types of items.

 • thanks for proving my point. that it's the game that lacks the rewards. nothing to do with eververse, as like you just said, you got them all for free..

 • Right haha. If they were in the game though and had a challenging way to get them they would be free as well.... the problem people are having with EV is that almost everything got put behind Tess which isn't fun. They aren't even planning on putting exotic vanities behind activities which is why people are so upset. You're right though. It is a problem with the base game, and EV is a huge part of that base.

 • And the defenders still dont get it lmao. Its the fact it gets better content than the base game. They should spend time fixing the game, not updating their EverCurse

 •
And the defenders still dont get it lmao. Its the fact it gets better content than the base game. They should spend time fixing the game, not updating their EverCurse
Better content? I don't see any content. I see cosmetics. When did cosmetics become content? Either way, if you see it as content, you're what's wrong with the gaming industry. Wanting that fancy new outfit instead of actual gameplay. Sure, wanting a better base game, and more rewards is a fair request. Planetary, Raid, Strike, Crucible, etc... ghosts, ships, and sparrows, would be a nice inclusion, but that has nothing to do with "removing" Eververse.

 • You defending Bungies pathetic system is whats wrong with the gaming industry. Did I say remove it? No. Did I say I hated it? No. Its wrong they take time to make NEW gear (not reskins) and put it all in Eververse. Why not take time and add to the game itself? So many problems need to be addressed but they add things nobody wants (or things that shouldve been there Day 1) or add to Eververse. Its pathetic and you defending it is as well. Bungie loves your type. Continue slobbering on em. You and the rest of the minority in all this. Buh bye.

 • That unwillingness to try to prove someone wrong... sure you ain't a millennial? Because it seems like you're a pretty big idiot. Talk a lot with 0 info to back up anything you say. You just give the usual excuse, which doesn't even get far as being a valid defensive argument.

 • Engrams earned through standard rankup don't reward Dawning gear.

 • So? it's a special event that didn't even need to be included, but was added as a fun bonus. And like the guy above me said, you can dismantle for bright dust and purchase the Dawning items, it's quite simple you just hold the square button.

And like the guy above me said, you can dismantle for bright dust and purchase the Dawning items, it's quite simple you just hold the square button.
Remind me again how much dust you get from dismantling stuff. Bear in mind this game was designed around players who have little time to play in a given week. It's assumed they don't have much of a dust reserve or the time to grind out the absurd amount of Bright engrams that would be required to acquire enough dust to get all the items they may not have been fortunate enough get with their free Dawning engrams. It's an event for designed to dip our wallets, not a "Merry Christmas and thanks for supporting us" type of event like other devs do. If you could manage to look past your nose, you would be able to see the mechanics at play, rather than your own narrow minded approach to it. But you won't because you refuse to.

 •
Prob close to like 10+ legendary ones exotic sparrows ships i wouldnt use 15+ ghosts and prob like 200 eververse shaders
Shaders give about 10 dust each for about 2k dust, that leaves about 14k for the other 25 items, which I'm to understand they break down for around 100 dust each. You're telling me they broke down to over 550 dust each? That doesn't seem accurate to me.
