You know if you just play the game and level up, some of those bright engrams will give silver dust. You are aware of that right? If someone wants to spend their money to purchase some, well let them. It's their money and they are allowed to do with it as they please. People are seriously complaining about cosmetic items. Some people don't have the luxury to sit and play all day, they go to their jobs. If you have the time that allows you to sit and play all day with nothing else going on then you damn sure can't complain about people that buy the items, they don't have the time to earn them so they can purchase.

You get nine engrams the whole event. The gift in returns doesn't even reward stuff from eververse and don't dismantle into bright dust. Also, you might get 100 dust max per engram 500 (exotic) if you're really lucky. These armor pieces cost like 800 so that's 8 engrams worth of dust. With them making the bright engrams cost 2x XP than normal after they were caught throttling the XP it might take like 8 hours or more straight grinding for 1 armor piece. OR You could spend your money on a 60$ game with 35$ dollar expansion passes for what? to make the game a better place? for better expansions? You saw how the Curse of Osiris failed and was barren. They are clearly pocketing the money.

You realize this game has been out for only 3 months right? Besides you seem more upset by the fact that you actually have to grind the game to get some boots. Remember D1, we would grind 2k hours for a god roll luna. You got that luna by playing the game. The reason I like bungie is due to them not just handing shit out anymore. People complained that they aren't getting enough exotics, you aren't supposed to if you did they wouldnt feel exotic. People are mad because they aren't getting shit for free or with little to no effort. If you want the good stuff then go out and earn it, don't complain about it being "to hard to obtain" because you are lazy. Because people can't get this cosmetic stuff so easy then they wanna get rid of the whole eververse system. If I was bungie I'd be an asshole get rid of the system and take away everything that has ever come from it. All your exotic sparrows, ships, emotes all gone. Of course I'd also be taking away your precious boots as well. Bungie gives you a chance to earn anything you want from there by just playing the game. They are offering you your proverbial "piece of chicken" so stop trying to take the whole bucket and nuking the chicken joint.
