A Reddit leaker has posted alleged screenshots of the second expansion's storyline from the Japanese PSN website.

The storyline matches up with the lore, and recent PSN leak of the expansion's name.
UPDATE: The American PSN page for the DLC was apparently leaked, and the Japanese version was supposedly a template that was removed due to translation errors.

Edited by Vampire Nox: 12/29/2017 8:30:09 PM"Destiny 2 Expansion II: Gods of Mars"; From the Studio that fell away from, and is about as far away from, the guys who made the legendary Halo series as is possible, comes a brand new Story "expansion" (Disclaimer: Destiny 2: Gods of Mars only expands the inventory of Tess Everess. No actual Game Developers were used in the making of this [not-quite-an] Expansion)! Each of the five (5) Story Missions will be available from the Eververse for 6000 Silver per Mission! Totaling 30-45 minutes of new Story!!! We've also added a total of five (5) new Weapons and Armor to the Eververse Trading Company, each of the three (3) weapons and two (2) pieces of armor are available for 8000 Silver per item! What a steal! Pre-order your access to the Eververse Trading Company for a mere $30 USD today! *** Disclaimer II: Access to the DLC, and ability to even -SEE- the Eververse Trading Company in the Tower requires an additional purchase of the ETC Shopping Expansion Pass, available on Xbox LIVE and PSN for $40 USD ($170 for Canadian players, $750 in Australia/New Zealand). ***

Will it change it so that I stop getting SIDEARMS as a PRIMARY weapon? Will it make sniper rifles useful? Will it bring back heavy machine guns? Will it make exotic weapons be more... exotic?
-
I think Bungie released this on purpose to be honest
-
Why do people post this stuff? Is it so hard to be patient? I didn't bother reading it because I'd rather experience new content as it comes out.
-
Say what you will about D2 not adding enough content with its expansions, but so far they have a better track record than D1.
-
Bet the DLC will be short and disappointing. The fact we’re going to see an old concept is also disappointing. I would like to believe that Bungie leaked this on purpose to gauge the reaction of their players, to see if this “story” is going in the right direction. Stop being safe, Bungie. Do more groundbreaking things. LOVE your game. You can DO it, but for some stupid reason, you choose NOT to, or you’re incapable. #RemoveEververse
-
The "new gear" will be reskins of current gear or reskins of d1 gear. The "new enemies" will be reskins of the same old ones we've been fighting since d1 beta. Don't get your hopes up people. Set your expectations low for bungie and the the letdown won't be so bad lol. I honestly would love to see siva altered guardians or just some evil guardians to battle. Sadly I doubt that'll ever happen.
-
At the risk of sounding cynical, isn't this just more cut content from D1? Charlemagne is nothing new.
-
Idiots still thinking this is a leak.
-
Remove Eververse
-
Not a leak. Attempt to take attention from #RemoveEververse.
-
It's literally D1 cut content.
-
"New enemy faction and enemies to fight" That right there is Charlemagne, a rogue Warmind on Mars, that was hinted at in Destiny 1. The enemies will be the Frames, and other machines that Rasputin sent against the Iron Lords. Saladin mentions this in Rise of Iron, but we never got to fight them, as Rasputin went dark at the end of Destiny 1 it seems, obviously due to Charlemagne. Content that was supposed to be in Destiny 1. More proof Destiny 2 should have been an expansion for Destiny 1, but Bungie wanted more money that comes from launching a sequel.
-
Leaked on purpose to distract from the Remove Eververse storm?
-
I’m more curious about how Rasputin, whose hardware is on the Earth, gets trapped in a computer on Mars. Sure they might finally introduce his Exo body but that still leaves his main body sitting in a bunker on Earth.
-
I recently replayed the rise of iron dlc for the hell of it and not only could this match up but Saladin makes mention of the word frames during the Iron tomb mission. Not to mention that they point blank stated that pieces of SIVA are still out there.
-
I new it! I recognised that siva symbol on the expansion pass! I’m so hyped tnx to u. Cheers bro. Excitement!!!!!!
-
Not a leak. Attempt to take attention from #RemoveEververse
-
Imagine sweeper bot corrupted with SIVA
-
Man, I can't wait to grind for Bright Engrams in Expansion II. It's gonna be so much more hardcore than grinding for Bright Engrams in Expansion I.
-
Oh boy!!! Yet another watered down version of D1 content to play!!! So happy I bought pre-ordered D-2 expansion pass!!! 😭😭😭
-
Great Mars... so more reused content!
-
I really hope this dlc gets pushed back or bungie takes their time with it so that it can fix some of the communities complaints.
-
So I take it that either Charlemagne is pissed that Rasputin used his systems and was trapped by him.....or Rasputin is up to more sneaky shit with Charlemagne.

Edited by SuperStormDroid: 12/28/2017 7:59:07 AMHoly f*ck! SIVA is back! Awesome! I hope chroma gear returns. Also, I sense that this expansion will be delayed due to the angry fanbase.

Edited by Haffoc: 12/28/2017 4:46:53 PMYet again be careful about believing this. It's been noted that the supposed Japanese version is written in Google translator Japanese. Also, it links to the US software licence, and states it is published by Activision, Destiny 2 is distributed by Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc in Japan. You can check this yourself by going to JPN store and looking at both Destiny 2 and the season pass which both list SIE as the distributor. https://store.playstation.com/ja-jp/product/JP9200-CUSA05963_00-DESTINYTHEGAME02
Destiny 2 株式会社ソニー・インタラクティブエンタテインメント = Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc.
https://store.playstation.com/ja-jp/product/JP9200-CUSA05963_00-DESTINY2EXPNPASS
Destiny 2 拡張コンテンツパック 株式会社ソニー・インタラクティブエンタテインメント = Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc.
The dates between the US and Japan versions don't match, one says May 2018 and the other says March 2018. This was also posted on the reddit thread by someone who is Japanese, and confirmed by others who speak Japanese.
I'm a Japanese and I would like to point out that those texts don't make sense because they are translated by such as google translate. PSN store never released an official description which is done by the translation software. I highly doubt this information. Also, in the Japanese version, SIVA is called ZIVA, but the description said it's SIVA. Another suspicious. Third, you can see the word "アクティビジョン", this is Activision in Japanese. The funny thing is Destiny 1 and 2 are sold by Sony in Japan. Not by Activision. Check other Destiny's descriptions on the PlayStation Store Japan, then you see "株式会社ソニー・インタラクティブエンタテインメント". This is SIE in Japanese. Why all of the sudden SIE stepped down and let Activision stands? Last, why Japanese PlayStation Store uses US PlayStation Store's policy? JP store never used that.
So, although it may be true, at the moment the Japanese page is looking fake.
