The storyline matches up with the lore, and recent PSN leak of the expansion's name.
UPDATE: The American PSN page for the DLC was apparently leaked, and the Japanese version was supposedly a template that was removed due to translation errors.

Edited by Haffoc: 12/28/2017 4:46:53 PMYet again be careful about believing this. It's been noted that the supposed Japanese version is written in Google translator Japanese. Also, it links to the US software licence, and states it is published by Activision, Destiny 2 is distributed by Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc in Japan. You can check this yourself by going to JPN store and looking at both Destiny 2 and the season pass which both list SIE as the distributor. https://store.playstation.com/ja-jp/product/JP9200-CUSA05963_00-DESTINYTHEGAME02
Destiny 2 株式会社ソニー・インタラクティブエンタテインメント = Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc.
https://store.playstation.com/ja-jp/product/JP9200-CUSA05963_00-DESTINY2EXPNPASS
Destiny 2 拡張コンテンツパック 株式会社ソニー・インタラクティブエンタテインメント = Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc.
The dates between the US and Japan versions don't match, one says May 2018 and the other says March 2018. This was also posted on the reddit thread by someone who is Japanese, and confirmed by others who speak Japanese.
I'm a Japanese and I would like to point out that those texts don't make sense because they are translated by such as google translate. PSN store never released an official description which is done by the translation software. I highly doubt this information. Also, in the Japanese version, SIVA is called ZIVA, but the description said it's SIVA. Another suspicious. Third, you can see the word "アクティビジョン", this is Activision in Japanese. The funny thing is Destiny 1 and 2 are sold by Sony in Japan. Not by Activision. Check other Destiny's descriptions on the PlayStation Store Japan, then you see "株式会社ソニー・インタラクティブエンタテインメント". This is SIE in Japanese. Why all of the sudden SIE stepped down and let Activision stands? Last, why Japanese PlayStation Store uses US PlayStation Store's policy? JP store never used that.
So, although it may be true, at the moment the Japanese page is looking fake.
