"THE "BUYERS REMORSE" AWARD
Destiny 2 This was a polarising choice. Seemingly Bungie managed to accomplish the impossible by irritating both the hardcore Destiny 1 fanbase AND the casual audience with a cavalcade of "downgrades", controversies and poor press. From being caught stripping down content to be re-sold as microtransactions through to skimming EXP from players - Destiny 2 has not been a smooth ride. Not even Starwars Battlefront 2 came close to the level of regret felt by long-time Bungie fans.... Again..."
Edit: RIP my battery. Keep it up!!
ha! Made you look!!
Their attempt to reboot the franchise as a gambling simulator was not only unnecessary but also a really bad decision.

I am defintely remorseful that I bought the digital deluxe edition. I thought it would be at least as decent as Destiny 1. I did it so I wouldnt have to worry about having the money later on to buy DLC First DLC wasnt worth it. I played through the campaign but it was a drag. Had to force myself to finish all those vex platform boring BS Wish I didnt buy it

Fell for the spoiler every time kek

Even of you like Bungie, that xp skim was goddamn dirty of them. Let’s not forget the broken 3oC and nerfed exotic engram drops. 3oC was to trick us into spending shards.
-
I’d love to see them try to sell me on Destiny 3 right now. When you “expand the story” but revert to original problems (vault space), and strip what was in game content like ships, and sparrows to be sold for extra money. Bungie, you have officially lost my trust!

I can't disagree. I bought the game expecting it to be at least as good as D1, with more QOL improvements, not less. By this time in D1, I was complaining about how dumb it was to cheese the Crota's End bridge, and how our light level was gated by weekly radiant shards/energy. I was also still on the hunt for the mythical Ghorn, which was my weekly frustration. But, all of these things were about gameplay systems that were tweaked over time. They weren't about the quality of the content, or the functionality of the game. Now, I'm complaining that I log in and have absolutely nothing to do. And I don't. I get a few engrams that become insta dismantles for shards that I don't need. There's no currencies that mean anything and help me power up. My character doesn't feel any different at 335 than at 325 or 305. None of the gear or stats mean anything. The weapons don't have any randomness or tinkering to them. The worlds are tiny and not worth exploring. Strikes don't really give you anything. PvP is extremely slow and casual, and I don't have the option of what mode I want to play. It's unbelievable how this time in Y1 of D1 was so different than Y1 of D2, and not in a good way.

I have to say even though I picked up this game for around $20, ( PSN gave me $10 and I bought it on half off sale) I still think I utterly wasted my money. I played Destiny 1 for a long time until they decided to put no in-game feature to look for groups so I can match up in the raids and higher and content. They relied on other people's matchmaking sites to team up. Personally I don't want to go on a completely different site to find a group for a game that I'm playing. It is either complete laziness or lack of respect for their player base to not put in some kind of system to find a group. I have many friends on my PSN friends list but none of them play any of the destiny games. For good reason obviously. Back to Destiny 2.... in no way shape or form does this game compare to Destiny 1. Each planet's layout is terrible in my opinion. The quests were not fun. The fact that they still don't have some kind of looking for group system or matchmaking is beyond me. After I quit Destiny one I told myself I would never buy another Bungie game again. That is until I could pick up the copy for 20 bucks I figured what the hell might as well give it a chance. Absolutely terrible mistake. Bungie as a company is a money-hungry pile of s***. Just like the games they produce. /rant over

Edited by PurePokédex: 12/31/2017 5:00:17 PMThis sucks man I had some of the best gaming experience of my life in D1 and now I'm trying weekly to get people back on D2 for raids or whatever and it's just not happening anymore. Everyone left for fortnight, pubg, and back to rainbow 6 and overwatch.

I'd love to talk about how much I like parts of the game, the music, the art style, the controls. There are a lot of great parts but this is a shadow of what it should have been. After all the learning from D1 it should have been a much better experience. It's missing so much that was added over time in D1 and it seems like they are making the same mistakes again. I understand money is good and it's what keeps the company going, but building an experience based on extracting money out of players is not what's good for the game. Eververse or not, the experience they designed is not for the players and the enjoyment of their franchise

If you like D2 you're the weakest casuals in the gaming world. Begone peasant scrubs, true Destiny fans want their game back.

Hi, Phil Swift here with Flex Tape! The super-strong waterproof tape! That can instantly patch, bond, seal, and repair! Flex tape is no ordinary tape; its triple thick adhesive virtually welds itself to the surface, instantly stopping the toughest leaks. Leaky pipes can cause major damage, but Flex Tape grips on tight and bonds instantly! Plus, Flex Tape’s powerful adhesive is so strong, it even works underwater! Now you can repair leaks in pools and spas in water without draining them! Flex Tape is perfect for marine, campers and RVs! Flex Tape is super strong, and once it's on, it holds on tight! And for emergency auto repair, Flex Tape keeps its grip, even in the toughest conditions! Big storms can cause big damage, but Flex Tape comes super wide, so you can easily patch large holes. To show the power of Flex Tape, I sawed this boat in half! And repaired it with only Flex Tape! Not only does Flex Tape’s powerful adhesive hold the boat together, but it creates a super strong water tight seal, so the inside is completly dry! Yee-doggy! Just cut, peel, stick and seal! Imagine everything you can do with the power of Flex Tape!

I play on Tuesdays. Complete my flashpoint and PVP then I'm gone. The problem is bungie and us want destiny to be a continual game like a mmo. However that quality is not easilly obtained at 59.99 or less. Even with DLC including silver. The games not big enough. Small areas of few planets/moons. And Activision isn't willing to give bungie what it needs to grow to a size/quality we expect. Here's my problem solving: 1. Huge story arc. 2 sides of a guardian civil war. A-la alliance vs horde. FWC has already dropped hints at this. 2. Large battles on planets. Featuring AI and PVP. 3. Investment. Players need to care about the story and direction. (I hated horde players in WoW man... I hunted they're a$$es down. Super fun. 4. Stop trying to impress hardcore players with raids. Make them accessible and fun instead of difficult and avoidable. Hard modes can always be available. 5. Be honest. Let players know that what we/you want costs money. A premier type subscription like $5-$8 bucks a month after a lengthy free preview to prove to us that you get it. 6. Random roll perk weapons need to come back. As well as customization of exotic weapons. 7. RNG needs a fix. I don't know how. Just fix it. You're the pros. 8. Reasons to play! There's no reason for me to play after Tuesday. I've beaten the raid a few times and that's enough for me. Hardcore mode? No thanks. I get yelled at enough irl. I don't need it during gametime.

They should also win the dont play the game but cry on the forums reward.
-
They tried to make an Overwatch Mark Two but just wound up with a reheated Battleborn. (BTW if you told me a year ago I'd be saying this about Destiny I'd have thought you were crazy.)

But just 22.9k upvote doesn't represent billions Destiny 2 players in the community, all I see is the same 1,000 people abusing the voting mechanic by using multiple alt accounts. - Disciple of Bungie (Bungie Greatest FAN), Senior Lifetime member of The Bungie Defender Cult

I'm going to place this in every one of these posts. Trust me, if they remove Eververse, it won't see people returning to this game. It's an odd situation where everyone is focusing on Eververse and it isn't even the issue with the game. People left because they don't like... Changes to loadout system. 4v4. Removal of random rolls. They're the main reasons I see cited. Eververse has got literally nothing to do with it.

not gonna lie i bought the speical edition with the dlc and yea i got major buyer remorse i actually renewed my xbox live just so i could play a decent destiny game and you know what i missed slide shot guns soooooo much and 6v6 felt soooo good

Personally, I'm actually playing Battlefront 2 now more than I'm even thinking of playing Destiny 2. Considering how much trash I've talked about EA, it actually is a really fun game to play.
Plus, it helps that it was on sale, no way I was paying full price 😆
I think I've only fully completed milestones in this DLC one time, and now I just don't even bother. The game just really ain't that fun doing the same thing week in, week out. Destiny 1 had it's moments, but there were ways to change it up and give you something different to do. Considering DLC 3 will continue on with the status quo, I think I'll just play through it once and be done with this game.

Jon Weisnewski( sandbox director) said this is his and I quote "working as intended vision". He's the reason this game is in such a dire state. Seriously. Fire that guy before this game is truly beyond saving....and that's coming from a 4000 hour D1 veteran like me.

If i leave this here you be the judge if bungie truly shit on us

Feels good being right :)
-
I still play this game every night. I still love the premise and the worlds they built. But I absolutely have buyers remorse.

Shit you got me with the spoiler
