“Ya...here’s hoping.” Jon said, his sights on the cultist. “Alright...Do it!”

He dropped his ward, the crystals flying back at the cultist and allowing Jon to shoot.
-
The crystals scattered and smashed across the walls and floors, one cutting through the cultists leg. As this happened Jon fired as soon as the ward had dropped. A dart shot out from the pistol, and embedded itself into the ice users neck. The figure began to seizure as a few sparks of electricity gave off from him, before he dropped to the ground. However in this second of action more ice spikes flew towards the two delvers.
-
Zane managed to raise his ward once again, the crystals once again floating in his gravity field. "Damn, what'd you shoot him with?"
-
“High powered stun dart! Makes them go into a shock and then coma. They usually wake up in a day or so, with one hell of a headache.”
-
"Impressive, so we good to move on then?"
-
“Ya, I’d say so. Not sure which one of these doors will take us to where we need to go though.” Baker commented. There were eight doors total, all identical in their visage.
-
He dropped the ward which caused the crystals to drop, and walked up to the furthest door. He placed a hand on it, a faint blue glow wrapping around the handle. "Alfred, do a deep scan and see where this leads."
-
All Zane had picked up was a a small 10 by 10 room on the opposite side of the door. Meanwhile, baker walked to the other side of the balcony, closer to the staircase, and opened up the door on that end. “Nothing over here, just a bedroom.”
-
"Didn't sense anything important in this one either. What room did that cultists come out from?"
-
“Looks like the one just before the one you checked.” Baker said, checking the next room. Then he suddenly yelled. “SHIT!” He yelled as a blast of fire collided into his chest, sending him crashing through the railing of the balcony and onto the ground below.
-
"Damnit!" Zane leapt over the balcony and landed next to Jon, his armor absorbing the impact. "You alright kid, still with me?"
-
“Yea...ya I’m good.” He said, wincing. “Shit, above you!” He yelled. As Zane looked to the balcony, he saw a man completely coated in flame, floating above the ground. Jon quickly got to his feet before the fiery wraith sent out a fireball at Zane and Baker, Baker sliding away from its intended target.
-
Zane flipped his cape over himself, the flames dying out as they hit. He leapt up at the wraith, drawing his buster sword and swinging upward.
-
“ITS A GUY!” Jon yelled at Zane as the warrior was about to cleave into the wraith.
-
God damn it, Zane thought to himself as he flipped his buster sword. The flat of the blade collided Into the chest of the man, just enough force to knock him away.
-
The wraith spun into the stair case, igniting it into flame. It let out a guttural roar as it shot out more fireballs at Zane. Zane saw however that a dart was shot from behind him, and went straight into the fire creature. The creature seemed stunned for but a moment before the dart was burnt into ash. “Oh come on!” Baker Yelled.
-
Zane flipped his cape over him again, the fireballs once again snuffing out when they made contact. He dropped down next to Jon, throwing a concussive Grenade at the burning man. "You got any ideas for downing this bastard?"
-
“Ya...ya I got an idea.” He said. He reached for the back of this hip, and drew what seemed to be some sort of mechanism. It had a grip and a sight, so it was some form of weapon. Suddenly, two parts flipped up on top of the grip and below, and Zane now saw the black as night recurve bow that formed in the man’s hand. There was no string to start with, until a blue light shined between the upper and lower limbs of the bow. Baker took aim, and an arrow made of blue light generated from his left hand and the nock of the arrow connected with the string. The tip of the arrow was ball point, Zane saw. “Alright...this should work!” Falk yelled as he began to draw. However the fire man sent out two fireballs towards them, but Baker didn’t seem like he was going to move. Zane saw the arrow fly off the string, but two fireballs were heading right towards them.
-
He moved in front of Baker and blocked the magic with his armor, the heat resistant metal shimmering under the flames. He then stepped aside, giving the Merc a clear shot.
-
The arrow went sprawling towards the skull of the wraith, and with one audible THUNK! the fiery man fell limply to the ground with a thud!. The flames died out immediately which only left a weak looking man unconscious on the ground. “Alright...that’s another down.” Baker commented. “Well, this is great. Now the stairs are out.” Dani added. “Equipping rope arrows now.”
-
"Na, I'll get us up there." He activated his rocket boots and began hovering above the ground. He extended his hand outward, waiting for Baker to take it.
-
“You aren’t Gunna start singing to me now are you?” Jon said jokingly as he grasped Zane’s wrist.
-
"Eh, singing ain't really my thing. I let my wife do that." He boosted off the ground and flew up to the balcony, allowing baker to land on the ground.
-
Baker landed, brushing himself off. “Alright, we still got four more doors to check. All of em in the middle here.” He said. “Let’s just do one at a time now though.”
-
"Good idea, that way if you get blasted again you won't go flying back off. Why not use your AI to scan the remaining rooms?"
