“Ya...ya I got an idea.” He said. He reached for the back of this hip, and drew what seemed to be some sort of mechanism. It had a grip and a sight, so it was some form of weapon. Suddenly, two parts flipped up on top of the grip and below, and Zane now saw the black as night recurve bow that formed in the man’s hand. There was no string to start with, until a blue light shined between the upper and lower limbs of the bow. Baker took aim, and an arrow made of blue light generated from his left hand and the nock of the arrow connected with the string. The tip of the arrow was ball point, Zane saw.
“Alright...this should work!” Falk yelled as he began to draw. However the fire man sent out two fireballs towards them, but Baker didn’t seem like he was going to move. Zane saw the arrow fly off the string, but two fireballs were heading right towards them.

[i]He moved in front of Baker and blocked the magic with his armor, the heat resistant metal shimmering under the flames. He then stepped aside, giving the Merc a clear shot.[/i]

The arrow went sprawling towards the skull of the wraith, and with one audible [i]THUNK![/i] the fiery man fell limply to the ground with a [i]thud![/i]. The flames died out immediately which only left a weak looking man unconscious on the ground. “Alright...that’s another down.” Baker commented. “Well, this is great. Now the stairs are out.” Dani added. “Equipping rope arrows now.”

"Na, I'll get us up there." [i]He activated his rocket boots and began hovering above the ground. He extended his hand outward, waiting for Baker to take it.[/i]

“You aren’t Gunna start singing to me now are you?” Jon said jokingly as he grasped Zane’s wrist.

"Eh, singing ain't really my thing. I let my wife do that." [i]He boosted off the ground and flew up to the balcony, allowing baker to land on the ground.[/i]

Baker landed, brushing himself off. “Alright, we still got four more doors to check. All of em in the middle here.” He said. “Let’s just do one at a time now though.”

"Good idea, that way if you get blasted again you won't go flying back off. Why not use your AI to scan the remaining rooms?"

"I see. Tell you what, send your AI back I to my suit. Together with Alfred they might have enough power to do a full scan of the area."

“That’s an elementary idea.” Dani would say. “It makes no sense. It’s like you are wanting to mix flour and egg to make a steak.” “Dani! Give the guy a break! It was just an idea!” “A dumb one.” Baker raised his finger to the bridge of his nose. “Just...maybe you just scan the rooms by yourself.” He told Zane.

"Geez, haven't been insulted like that since a was a kid....Dani is a bit rude huh?" [i]He walked up the the nearest door, preforming another scan[/i]

Like if I could harvest you I could hold a flipping monopoly in minerals.” Zane saw that the door lead into a hallway.!

[i]Zane chuckled as he then activated a thermal scan, seeing if there was any more cultists.[/i] "Got a hallway behind this door, I'm scanning with thermal now."

As he scanned, he didn’t pick up anything as far as his scan could go. The hallway seemed clear.

"Scan didn't show any hostiles so it's up to you. We can go ahead through this door or scan the rest first."

“Well it’s really up to you. Pretty sure the boss man is usually at the end of the road, but as for your sewing machine I’m not sure.”

"Better check the rest of these room then." [i]He went from door to door, scanning the rooms.[/i]

The machine was an inanimate object after all. Upon scanning the third room he picked up a heat signature, the shape of a human body, likely male.

"Got someone, let's try to sneak up on them. You wanna take em out or should I?"

“Better idea...why not just barricade the door? That way he can’t get out till we take care of “Mr.Controls em all.” Then we can come back and free him.”

"That works too, lead the way then."

Baker looked around, then to the broken railing. One of the beams was splintered enough and just sort of hanging. “Hey, maybe we can pry that off? Use it to block him in?”

"Sounds good, stand back a bit yeah?" [i]Zane gripped the railing and pulled on it, the wood breaking loose.[/i]

It made a very loud noise with the collectiveness of the creaking and splitting of wood. As Zane pulled out the 2x4 plank Baker quickly grabbed the other end, raising it to the top left corner of the doorway.

[i]Zane brought his end of the plank down across the door, sliding it Into place.[/i]
