I know that they have an "update" on the way. So I'm going to withhold my judgment whether I uninstall this game or not.
My New Years resolution is to stop supporting micro transactions in "AAA Games". I hate doing New Years resolutions, because I simply can't follow through with them. But I'm going to try. Because micro transactions has no place in the "AAA" scene. Either have free dlc content and micro transactions or paid dlc with no micro transactions. Don't try to bake a cake and selfishly take it all to yourself, share it with others, stop being so incredibly greedy. I get that you're a company, but have some restraints for Christ's sake!
Edit: This game actively takes advantage of my gambling addiction. So I had to cut ties from it, until they tone it down.
Yes I have a gambling addiction, that's why I stay away from gambling as a whole. Because it suckers me in immediately.
Seriously... I can't believe that I haven't played the Witcher 3 yet.
Have any of you guys played it? If yes, what did you think of it? And would you recommend it?

Witcher 3 was great I would recommend over this shit fest of an “game”

251 GOTY Awards.. Nuff said honestly. If your willing to play for hours and hours discovering new things and enjoying it, play it.

Edited by Fridén: 1/2/2018 8:13:37 PMEververse sucks, it is partially to blame for the enormous problems that Destiny 2 has. With that, just because some European legislatures have decided loot boxes to be gambling, does not make it so. It order for it to be gambling, profit must be at stake. You have nothing to gain (monetary wise) by buying a loot box and the stuff inside has no monetary or resale value. It more closely resembles buying a pack of pokemon cards, which no one would label that gambling. Yes, loot boxes are their to increase profits and YES loot boxes suck but it is not gambling.

Plus they have Good Old Games, it's steam but without DRM. So you can do whatever you want, you own it. They are actually committed to proper treatment of the end user. Haven't bought and played The Witcher 1-3, but I am planning to. Life just gets in the way, that said I buy games on sale on GOG if it's available. That or rebuy them, it's the best version you can get since there's no DRM.

If the Witcher 3 came out with another DLC or a Witcher 4, I’d be consumed by it. It’s beyond amazing. When you are playing it, you feel like you are actually there. The detail and sounds of the world and towns pull you in.
-
If had the choice to take only one with me onto a desert island (which conveniently had a ps4 and t.v and power etc) Witcher 3 would be it.
-
I've only explored the initial area of The Witcher 3 and I can absolutely say GO PLAY IT. It's an amazing game. You can just feel the attention to detail and the investment CD Projekt Red put into it.
-
Witcher 3 was probably the best game i played in 2017, £20 including dlc felt like a steal for the amount of content it had, I still need to go back and play through Blood & Wine at some point when I get a chance. Also the DLC packs actually felt like full on add-ons with their own stories, none of this half-assed reskins with a couple extra missions that everyone is used to.
-
If you haven't played witcher 3 you need to change that immediately! It's an amazing experience. HoS has a great story and B&W could've been its own game.
-
Witcher 3 is a must have, great story, characters etc. I've had it for 2 years now and haven't cleared it got side tracked with side-quests that's on the same level as a other games main campaign, if not better. I can also recommend the whole series and the books, if you play it and like the way they do story telling then you'll love the books.
-
Witcher 3 has a great story arc. It also has Bethesda level depth which is amazing considering CD Projekt Red has never really had a Big title before. Yes it is third person but the game is not difficult to play and it is visually appealing. The DLCs are excellent.
-
Put it this way... Destiny 2, as a whole, has less content than The Witcher 3’s starting area.
-
The blood and wine dlc by itself has more content than most games and could have shipped as it's own game. On top of the the game is a visually, technically, and a gaming masterpiece.
-
witcher 3s DLC is entirity and beyond of destiny 1,2 and 3 or anything bunjie will ever make
-
The Witcher 3 is single handedly the best open world game ever. I played and loved both expansions that came out for it and at the time they gave 16 pieces of free dlc each week after release. It's my second most favorite game of all times besides" The last of Us ". Quality at its best. Witcher 3s side quests are deeper and more interesting than D1 And D2s main quest
-
Literally just bought it for myself a week ago amazing game and cheap as hell with both dlcs I was the same as you only playing destiny but this second game has made me venture out
-
Dude I am playing that now. Fantastic game....little tip: do the horse races for the best saddles and EVERY side quest The version with both expansions is available for around £15 (in the UK). I honestly cannot recommend it enough at that price. Be warned!!!!! You WILL have many many many late nights as you do 'just one more mission' 😁
-
The witcher 3 is infinitely better than both destiny games combined and I loved destiny 1. From the gameplay to the ridiculously massive map and the blood and wine dlc omg.
-
The Witcher 3 is a testament to what a true open world rpg can become. Go play it asap!

Edited by Elsaki78: 1/1/2018 7:26:45 PMI hadn't played Witcher 3 either. I bought it 4 days ago. It costs 20 euros with all the dlcs (until 10th of January I think). It's one of the best games I've ever played. If you like medieval fantasy rpg with a lot (LOT) of dialogues and countless missions and bounties then definitely buy it. If you like more fast paced games I don't think is for you. For me the game is a masterpiece 10/10

Witcher 3 is a fantastic game. The graphics are not quite as smooth as other games with similar combat styles (Shadow of Mordor/War), but other than that, no complaints. I'm not big into lore and usually skip cutscenes after a few seconds, but I watched almost all of them. The game really makes you feel like you are in it. Immersive is a bit of an understatement. I found myself really wanting to do every bit of content I could because it could trigger a different outcome, cutscene, etc. and/or reveal new information about something or someone else. You have a ton of backstory and lore in cutscenes, load screens, and in game items. It's kind of hard to describe what a difference it is from something like Destiny that pretends to have lore, but really doesn't. Let's put it this way: you can learn more about the Witcher universe in the loadscreens than you learn about the Destiny universe in the entire campaign. Not to mention, the DLCs are dirt cheap and contain 10x as much content as Destiny 2 + Osiris.

Edited by girflush: 1/1/2018 11:48:13 PMWitcher 3? Highly reccomended. One of a very small handful of games that even begin to approach the quality of the Destiny franchise.
KUPO!
Not playing witcher 3 is your own fault xD

YES PLAY IT! it is an amazing game. there are hundreds maybe thousands of unique quests in the base game alone. i have hundreds of hours in the base game, havent seen the ending , and two expansions i really need to get to. one of those expansions Blood and Wine adds almost as much content as the base game. it is absolutely insane the amount of quality this game has. you will not regret playing the witcher 3. you might feel overwhelmed but just remember, you dont really HAVE to do anything you dont want to. you can take on bounties for the dozens of villages and settlements in the game just do what witchers do, take on insane beasts and monsters through out the world and prepare by acquiring monster mutagens to create potions and powerful buffs look for treasure and follow treasure maps all over the massive map travel the world playing GWENT, many people myself included have gotten severely addicted to this card game. you will probably never see everything in game and that makes it a world you will enjoy going back to over and over. and the humor and writing sets the bar for any rpg on the market.
