If This Community Can Pull Off "removeeverpurse" We Can Pull Off "Boycott Destiny Friday"
All bungie gives us is the same old "[b]we'll talk more later[/b]" line, despite the fact that the forums have been burning for some time now. What will make them listen? Our complaints? Obviously not. If eververse proves one thing it is that money is the only language that bungie understands. If those of you who support #removeeverpurse really want to send a message, then pick a day (for example Friday) and everyone who still plays agree not to play on that day. We spread the word before that day across the forums, across reddit. We convince our friends/clan mates who play to play something else that day. We do this, [i]every week[/i]. If bungie doesn't notice our presence they will certainly notice our absence. What do you say? Boycott Destiny Friday anyone? Lets send bungie a message through action...

#boycottdestiny2 All we get are more and more "fixes" and "promises" But it's the same every time, a little plaster over a massive wound to make you think it's got better! It hasn't, and it won't! We have been given a sequel that has less content than the original. Fine!!! But no new subclass, no new worth while mechanics, less pvp options and modes, weapons so balanced they are dull and pointless, no actual endgame pounds or purpose, no specific strike loot, hell, strikes aren't even part of the story, just disjointed, hollow point and shoot. We were told we would have a sequel, we have a reboot at best, that has ignored lore and purpose and geared towards our cash! Enough is enough!! Start, one day, just one day everybody stands together and doesn't log in, just to send that message that, we want more!!! You want them to listen? Make them!! You want more content? Demand it!!! Everybody stand together to show them just how passionate we are, for the community, for the old bungie, and for the game we came to love!! Boycott destiny!!! Spread the word!!!there's only one darkness I see in the destiny universe, and it's called greed and complacency. #boycottdestiny2

1 ReplyIt's funny to watch all the rude people jump on here and complain about people doing the #remove stuff. Some people are just 100% ok with being taken like the idiots they are. It's what allows publishers to continue to steal from the community. I think Destiny 2 is fantastic and fun to play, but I got taken by their BS with the eververse and I've been waiting for a long time to play Destiny 2 since Bungie decided to lie and make Destiny 1 console only. But to the OP I think this is a good idea. I doubt it'll work unfortunately, but if the gaming community has learned *OR SHOULD HAVE LEARNED* is that their actions WILL directly influence decisions made by companies if they try hard enough. Due to the lying and blatant greed shown during the holidays by Activision I've already stopped playing the game until something is done, and if nothing is done that's fine too because I've got plenty of other games that don't have loot boxes and don't lie to their player base. Besides, Friday is when I host board game night for my neighborhood anyways, so I wouldn't be playing Destiny 2 regardless. It'd be nice if this works, and if people truly do it I believe it would. But as some of the other people in this thread said (often rudely because they don't know how to hold a conversation without being an imbecile) the player base is a bit too wide to follow suit. If they did I'm sure Activision would have to respond because they make most of their money from the eververse, far more than purchasing the game itself. If people aren't playing, people aren't paying. Simple as that. #removeeververse

Thing is, nobody will do this. It just doesn’t happen. Quite unfortunate but we aren’t a tight enough community to do this.

Gonna say it as it is. If you want it to change, you have to make it change, and make a stand. The only way to make them listen? Stop playing the game! If everyone got together and just didn't bother logging in, show them you mean it, show them you're willing to just abandon their game, then they would listen. Otherwise the more you play, the more you buy, the less they care.

I boycot destiny everyday, sellin my ps4 destiny edition cuz its the only game i play. Gonna save for a pc just in case theres a HUGE turn around of events, if not oh well, ill buy some real bright dust

I stopped playing 2 months ago. There are far better games and mods out there. ARMA 3 Exile, Doom, Brutal Doom, Project Brutality, ECT. I'm not even gonna play Destiny anymore till Bungie ends with their mediocrity.

They already got your money ))). If you really want them to hear you don't buy next dlc and don't play the game at all, for a while at least.

As others have said, you don't the visibility to make an impact here. Thus far, there are ~300 up votes for this post... and there are how many millions of players in Destiny? Even if you got a few thousand players to not play on a Friday, Bungie probably wouldn't even notice.

Drink some beers, or whatever libation you prefer, and interact with the other people in the pub. You'd be amazed at what a few drinks and some face to face social interaction can do for your mental health.

Sure, you look at the first 20 pages of trending posts on Bungie.Net and you see one consensus. Unfortunately, that's not scientific or indicative of the entire playerbase. I think I'll boycott most of the week every week...can't say I won't see xur on a weekend day but that's about it for me until the game is fixed...I don't care what communication they give us, I need to actually see the changes

One day will do nothing. People would have to boycott an entire launch of dlc/expansion. Good luck with that happening.

I really don't think one day will make a difference. People need to stop buying these games from activision and ea. Hit them hard and hit them where it hurts the most,in the pockets and then we can watch there share holders go a running when theres no money coming in.
