I've never purchased engrams at Eververse but I think ill drop 40 or 50 bucks on Friday just for the hell of it . . .why? Because we have the right to have a choice. You want to take that away.

  • Methinks you've missed the point of the post, think of it rather like your underpaid at work, and going on strike. I'm sure you've other games that go wanting, stop being obtuse we know you understand, just step inline and help the community make this game better.

  • My efforts are to help diffuse the toxicity of these forums of late, and hopefully get back to discussing gameplay within these forums. Some things are bound to change. Points have been made. The choice confronting the "remove Eververse mob" will be upon them all soon enough . . . and that choice will be to continue playing Destiny . . . or quit and move on to something else. I want to keep playing and hope to eventually have forum discussions with other players that are not about removing Eververse.

  • Read this and compare events, they're going backwards. http://mashable.com/2016/12/09/destiny-dawning-details-holiday-event/#8_ebyi2MasqT

  • Ok . . . I read it. Thanks, but I don't see the exact correlation and why it's going backwards. The harsh reality for many is this: Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 are different games. Destiny 2 is it's own entity. I, for one, just refuse to pine away at what I miss about D1 to the point that I would let it ruin my enjoyment of D2.

  • I see your point and still play Destiny 2, but also know things must change for Destiny 2 to grow and evolve into the game we all hoped for.

  • You have a choice not to boycott. Lol. Manifesting this choice with wasting money and being the problem is your choice.... just not a good one.

  • You certainly have the right to your opinion. I respect that you did that without name calling.

  • This. This is why the remove eververse won’t ever work because there are like this that have more money than sense. They’ll spend hundreds every month on loot boxes without a seconds thought and gaming companies piss themselves laughing all the way to the bank, the only difference with bungie is they get you to spend 60+ buying the base game.

  • You act like you've been, or are being, robbed by buying D2 and playing it. . . . and that is so untrue. Again, your choice, everybody's choice. Nobody has to buy it. Nobody has to play it. Personally I have fun playing it and just roll with the game and it's choices . . . like a million other people. If I hated what Bungie has done to this game I would choose NOT to play it or buy into it anymore, and then move on.

  • Dude I haven’t gave Activision/Bungie a penny towards D2; not base game or the DLC and for that reason only I’ll quite happily continue to play it until I get all three capped then move on. I knew it would be a cluster -blam!- after bungie couldn’t get D1 right in 6 years. I’m simply pointing out that so long as people like you that keep throwing money at these micro transactions they will continue to appear in games and eventually get far worse. Luckily consoles aren’t the be all end all in life so it suits me just fine 👍🏼

  • Well, as of right now, I've still never purchased anything with real money at Eververse. My intention to do so was simply to use my "right" to choose to do so. Many games these days are doing this, and many more to come will be doing it as it is a viable way for the developers and publishers to continue providing support, upgrades, updates, and new dlc (that they will also charge players for). They are supposed to make money. They have to make money. Current players, and potential players of such games, that are infuriated by the realities of games with continuing costs will need to find and play games that aren't involved in these practices. It may be a sad state of affairs . . . but it's true.

  • Fair enough but That’s just like cutting off you’re nose to spite your face. Spending money and justifying bungie choice to put micro transactions in just because you can is mental. I agree micro transactions are here to stay but it’s nothing to do with the cost of maintaining games or we’d just have monthly subscriptions but having said that then they’d need to make the game great to keep that subscription coming which Destiny 2 just isn’t.

  • Good point. What if it was a subscription base game? Would it be a better game then? Would people pay the subscription price to get rid of micro-transactions? I'd do it either way, but if it was a subscription we would have no choice but to pay to keep playing. Right now you can keep playing without ever paying for a micro-transaction. My opinion is that how it is now is better.

  • It’s like comparing apples and oranges to be fair bud. Both are viable but they’d have to put a lot more effort into a game to keep people paying but they would. I played PSU back in the day paying £7.99 per month and I loved it. Never had to play it 24/7 to keep up. The problem is transparency. If the micro transactions were needed for the up keep of the game and they said “look guys we’ve got no choice, we’ll try not to stick all the really cool stuff in there but we need to do something to keep the game running” there wouldn’t be as much of an uproar (yeah some whiney shits will still moan) as having a whole event based on it; put all the loot from said event on eververse and limiting the amount of engrams you can earn.

  • You have a right to play, but the idea behind this is that Bungie is continually lying to their playerbase and charging insane amounts of money for things that are barely worth money at all, no one is trying to take your irresponsible spending away from you.

  • They're not charging insane amounts of money, and it's not irresponsible. It's a choice, and you have no right to call it irresponsible for players that are just having fun playing the game. They're not interfering with your rights to hate the game and it's employment of microtransactions.

  • Limitless choices isnt a good thing buddy, u want the choice to buy guns and higher level gear also?

  • You think it's really going to come to that? So far it hasn't. I will go as far as to say that if it truly becomes pay for better guns and other higher level gear that I would not support that action. Aside from that it's not harming anything to have the choice. Haters don't want the choice so they don't want anyone else to have it.

They clearly are working consumers towards the inevitable conclusion of purchasing weapons and bullets. Have you noticed that ammo synths are not yet in D2? Bet they show up in everpurse.

  • Right now there's so much ammo . . . Rarely do I run out of any type of ammo for more than a few moments. Your fear that they will eventually "sell" ammo would be a consequence of Bungie making changes that would make ammo stupidly scarce. That would piss me off more than the concept Eververse ever would lol . . . . and if they do that. . . and I will probably have to invoke my right to choose whether I want to continue playing . . or quit playing the game. A choice that Eververse haters need to make now. . . because I don't forsee it going away.

  • Do you even know what the hell your saying? D1 had strike specific loot for every strike after a certain point. Rise of iron forge had activity specific loot. Ghosts and shaders, sparrows and ships were all end of activity loot drops. Now every single one of those things have been put in the eververse store. They make the drop rate ridiculously low. Reduce xp gains so ppl who really want that certain gear will be incentivized to pay money at a chance...at a very low chance that they will receive that loot. We aren't asking for our choices to be limited. Bungie is limiting our choices and trying to squeeze us for every -blam!-ing cent that they can get. WE want our choices to be in the game that we already -blam!-ING PAID FOR. Your ignorance is -blam!-ing staggering. But no one ever said sheep were very smart animals....
