Getting lucky in a slot machine isn't the same as earning gear. You can't compare beating a raid boss to repeating public events for two hours.

There's the crux of this all. Just like the Earn vs Xurn nonsense that used to occur around here. Your idea of valuation is not the same as everyone else's. The current system literally allows for both. You can spend time, or money for the same potential reward.
