Good point. What if it was a subscription base game? Would it be a better game then? Would people pay the subscription price to get rid of micro-transactions? I'd do it either way, but if it was a subscription we would have no choice but to pay to keep playing. Right now you can keep playing without ever paying for a micro-transaction. My opinion is that how it is now is better.

  • It’s like comparing apples and oranges to be fair bud. Both are viable but they’d have to put a lot more effort into a game to keep people paying but they would. I played PSU back in the day paying £7.99 per month and I loved it. Never had to play it 24/7 to keep up. The problem is transparency. If the micro transactions were needed for the up keep of the game and they said “look guys we’ve got no choice, we’ll try not to stick all the really cool stuff in there but we need to do something to keep the game running” there wouldn’t be as much of an uproar (yeah some whiney shits will still moan) as having a whole event based on it; put all the loot from said event on eververse and limiting the amount of engrams you can earn.
