I am suggesting that this community had an unhealthy addiction to D1.
The fact that D2 does not fill that addiction and a lot of people are left wanting is not a bad thing.

Bungie have pulled some really shady shit with this game pretty much EA level at some points and it’s really sad that bungies gone this way. Eververse was introduced to fund the live team for events with all the new costumes, sparrow racing, horns n stuff. Now the live events are just snowballs and more Eververse inventory. Mayhem doesn’t count we’ve had that for 3 years in D1
