*After a few minutes, someone approached from behind them.* “You... All of you are who she’s testing? Congrats! You found my daughter’s weakness! But that couldn’t have been long enough to get a good idea of how you fight, though.”
-
“ I beat your metal daughter... cool. But did I pass, I need to know, do you need a rematch? Did I pass? Wait... who are you. Did I pass?
-
*His fur pattern was similar to Alice’s, but that’s where the similarities stopped. He was blue, black, slate and white as opposed to yellow, red, dark blue and grey. He had an actual head as well, which resembled that of some sort of cat/wolf creature. His tail was shorter but fluffier as well.* *He was only five feet tall too, versus his daughter’s height of 5’6”.* “You really want to pass don’t you? Well, not yet. I think she should fight you a little more. Everybody has room for improvement when they first come here, and we need to be sure they don’t need to improve so much that it’s a problem for anyone else.” “As for me, I’m Sketch. 29873400apples.” *Alice sat up and played the Windows XP welcome sound.*
-
“I knocked you down in round one, so why don’t you attack first, just try to hit the right one” all six lysanther say
-
*She grabbed her sword and stood up before lunging at the real one.* <There’s only one of you.>
-
*eyes widen but it’s to late as the sword hits true, cutting at my coat a d flesh (if you didn’t cut it just did bulging damage but I’m just saying you cut me) my wand go flying out of my hand, I stuttered and fall on the ground,I pull out my own sword, but not to attack, but I lean on it. “Ugh i knew I should of cast that mage armor” *cast prismatic spray 7rainbow rays shoot out of my hand, each doing elemental damage
-
*She spun to the side, but her tail was caught. Half of it fell to the ground, sparking a bit as a luminescent blue fluid leaked out like blood. The same fluid leaked from the half that was still attached to her before the flow was cut off.* “I guess I’m gonna have to reattach that after this.” <Yeah.>
-
*tries I hold sword in a ready position but falls and uses sword as a crutch. “Have I passed yet?” Lysanther asked, keeping one ear open for the response, the other ear listened to his own chanting, because he starts chanting again, moving his finger in the air drawing a magical symbol that appears in the air when he draws it. (Ok i said i was using d&d spells but I made this one up)
-
<Do you submit?> *She raised her sword, the edge of the blade touching his chin.*
-
“HA!!!... never...unless... you know... I am injured greatly” *finishes drawing symbol and the air crackles. Hail and lightning start coming down at both of us, I start casting again.
-
Edited by Skatch142: 1/4/2018 3:03:25 AM*She moved the sword away and gave him a good kick to the face.* <You submit when you want to avoid further injury.>
-
“Submit and I fail...my first real fight... ever” *shards of hail surrounds us and hurt both of us... I was going to avoid it, but then you kicked me
-
<Submit and the test is over.> *She was pelted by hail, denting her head but not seeming to cause her any pain. She held her arms out to cover him.* <The test is not about winning, it is about how stupidly you fight.>
-
“So if I submit I win
-
Edited by Skatch142: 1/4/2018 3:17:14 AM<If you submit, it ends. It is not about winning.> “What she means is that you aren’t expected to win. Sure, it’s possible, but that isn’t what this is about. What this is about is whether the way you fight is going to make everyone angry at you or not. It’s not a test to see what you know, it’s a test to see if you’ll cause any problems.”
-
“Fine I submit” To be honest I thought I was supposed to win the battle, I didn’t know it was testing my fighting style
-
“Most don’t realize that. We should probably start telling newbies that beforehand. Congrats though, you passed.” <Congratulations.> *Alice crouched down, tending to his wounds.* <You were slow to draw your sword, and did not use it to fight. That is quite unwise.>
You passed, but there seem to be a few “compatibility issues.” We don’t use specific types of damage like elemental damage, usually. If it’s a gun it puts holes in people. If it’s a laser I burns and/or also puts holes in people. If it’s fire it burns people. Though it works in D&D, using a spell with weaponized rainbows that do elemental damage are hard to react to, because it’s not clear what happens when you get hit. For attacks like that, I suggest that you make it more specific, and maybe squish it down into a single blast rather than seven. I will say that I appreciate the chanting and such before instantaneous attacks. People can get quite angry if they aren’t given a chance to dodge. Though the attacks such as lightning are impossible to dodge once fired, it’s good that you thought to give it a ‘charge up’ time.
-
“Thanks” *lysanther, unsure what to do, does a half bow to the android and her creator. “Also when fighting with my sword I prefer to teleport behind the enemy’s and then attack, which I was trying to cast a teleport spell before you kicked me.”
i just won’t use prismatic spray then. I’ll try use more basic spells so people understand. Thanks for the feedback, I will continue the thing where it takes time to cast spells.
-
“That sounds like a good tactic, just not when your enemy already has their sword to your chin.” *Alice was using a first aid kit she had under her trench coat to patch up his wounds. From the looks of it, nothing had been labeled, but had instead been wrapped in tape with different textures.*
Happy to help. You won’t always need to charge up spells though. Spells that don’t directly effect an enemy such as summoning spells could (or at least should be able to) be done instantly without issue.
-
“Thanks for the healing. Uhm your arm, will it be ok.... like I did hurt it.... i read In a book once...nevermind. Anyways, what was that blue blood, I thought you where a android. Also is there any isolated mountain around here so I can put up my tower up (see bio portable tower, I’ll write more about it)”
most summoning spells take the most time to cast
-
<I can not feel pain. That blue fluid is not blood, it is a fluidic A.I. which serves the same purpose as a brain.> “Why put her brain in an exposed part of her body like a head? Sure, if you cut it off then she’ll be ‘blinded,’ but at least she will still survive.” *He crouched down by her tail and pulled out a jar. He took out a knife and began to coax the fluid off of the blades of grass with it.* “I’d prefer to not have her permanently lose some of her memories, plus this stuff is extremely hard to create. So, I have to gather as much as I can after every fight. If you ever see a small cylinder of this stuff somewhere and pieces of broken machinery nearby, please bring it to me.”
Well, assuming what your summoning isn’t some giant super powered creature, D&D rules don’t really apply here when it comes to magic.
-
“Ok Then..... any good mountains around here for dramatic effects, with no base is built on.”
i just like Following d&d rules because I am use to them, but I guess I don’t always have to follow them
-
“Well, the Dojo isn’t on the only mountain here.” *He said, motioning to the mountainous landscape around them.* “Basically anywhere.”
-
“Thank you both. Do you have anything else that you need me to do?” *bows to the android and her maker, a little awkwardly because he never really bows to anyone
