Like a keyboard warrior.. I’ve recently been chatting, posting and replying to people on this outrage, this movement, this revolution sweeping the Bungie forums (and I’m not normally that active on forums). And within my replies and chatter amongst other members, I’ve found this particular reply to be my most heartfelt one yet and I wanted to share it as an actual post: Dude it’s pretty much adults being the mass majority that play this game. Why? Because kids generally don’t end up paying for all the DLC content, and that’s why I personally love Destiny (nothing actually against them). Whilst half my friends laughed on at us destiny fans for putting up with paid DLC I continued on because I loved it. Why? I love Destiny because unlike COD or even way back like in the Halo days (despite how great that game was) I never used to find myself in a chat lobby having to listen to 12 year olds run their foul immature mouths at you the second you were all connected. I joined Destiny and found the game was full of grown men and women working and studying in different professions. Their foul mouths were also intelligent, funny, friendly and charismatic. My clan leader worked for investment banking, my other clan mates were in retail, services and even the military. I thought to myself ‘finally I have a Platform where I can have insane fun shooting aliens whilst making some great friends along the way’. It doesn’t matter that what’s in eververse is just cosmetic. It matters that Destiny 2 is generally a stripped down version of Destiny 1. They’ve started to ruin the platform that people would come together on and socialise and laugh with each other. It’s now just a overly simplified piece of recycled garbage that doesn’t reflect the fun of the first game at all. A rushed piece of work that looks to be the result of communication breakdowns and unhappy developers doing what they’re told despite feeling against it deep within their hearts. And eververse is just a nail in the coffin that buries the OG fans down the poor direction this game is going in. For what? For money?? That don’t sound much like the Bungie I used to know and love and buy into over the years! I don’t blame the coders, the animators, the back or front end developers. No, I blame the upper management and publishers. I blame the guys at the top that were so over ambitious they thought they would be able to reel in a whole new crowd without a care in the world what their original fan base of 3 dedicated years were going to feel. They’re showing they don’t care about us anymore and that hurts man! So yeah we’re all fighting back at this or we won’t play! And by God we certainly WONT PAY. Not for this excrement.
