Chapter Two - The Wrath of the Lion
Closed.
Bells. Ringing, over and over and over.
It made Armillion's head throb. It made him tighten his fist, his old, rugged fingernails digging into grisly, strong palms. It made his face tie back into an angered scowl, like a lion baring his fangs in the face of a rival to his throne.
Only, this rival had took his son.
The Golden King left his mighty keep with the haste of a brewing storm, as his four - no, now rendered to three - golden knights would accompany his side. His cape fluttered in the brewing winds as he walked, down those high stairs and down to the city, where the common man and woman had begun to wait in their panic.
Their king stood upon a podium, resting his large fists upon it's marbled surface as the crowds of gossip fell silent. Though that King would not wait for such silence. No, he would release his rage, here and there.
"-My youngest son. Taken from his home, and captured by this hidden enemy, enclosed within the maws of evil.
My knightess, Camella. Taken from her duty and rendered to a hospital bed, poison swelling her heart and holding back her justice.
My youngest daughter. My eldest son. The men and women of Trayve. Your fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, sons, and daughters - slain or taken by this Tribune!
Yet, even in darkness, we shall not falter. We shall grab this evil Tribune by the throat and strangle it, and for every death that they have caused, we will return it sevenfold! For every murder they have committed, we will unleash justice with more fury than they could imagine!
Today is a day of lions, not sheep! Today is a day of reckoning! Today is the day that we will show these filth what war truly is!"
Such fury was an unrelenting, terrifying thing.

Cain and Lilly soon found themselves upon a carriage, amongst a massive caravan of soldiers, with mighty ships following in the rivers beside them. They would have to travel continents, in order to reach their destination. Sparking conversation and understanding the situation at hand. Additionally, gathering info on the land would be beneficial.

David had an invitation.
Armillion had requested to meet the Titan again, only this time with Camella amongst them. He had quite literally asked the Titan to meet his partner, to investigate what had happened in the first place.

David would approach Armillion, himself. His chirpy Ghost Amethyst floating around him. "Amethyst... I told you enough times, I'm not romantically interested in Camella," David spoke. "Yes, you are!" She chirped. "No, I'm not," David protested. "So tell me, why did you help her." "It's called common courtesy. And you have none, Ame."
-
Armillion would be waiting within the hospital room that Camella would reside within, likely to bring David's attention to the knightess' current state. The place wasn't overly neat, but it was something. The king sat in the room, looking at an asleep Camella before staring upon David. "You came."
-
"I wanted to check up on her myself, but you invited me anyway." Amethyst floated over to Armillion. "I think he likes her," she whispered. "Amethyst, we've been over this, I will not be romantically involved with anyone while we're here," David spoke. "But you two would be cute together!" She argued. "Ame, cut it out." "Sorry," she apologized sheepishly. "My apologies. My Ghost may be way older than me but she's naive."
-
"...okay." Armillion would mutter quietly, looking at the two silently. "I need.. information. Camella has been asleep for some time, so now.. I must ask of the only other victim of this failed assassination."
-
"Yes... this information... what are you asking about? What kind of information do you request?" David asked. The Titan gave Armillion his attention.
-
"The attackers in general, the attire that they wore. Anything at all."
-
"They wore no armor. Their blades were so frail. My sword cut right through one's blade. They were armed with blades, and attacked," David described.
-
"Did you see this while they attacked?" Armillion would reach to his side as he would draw a dagger from a small sheath. It was a small, needle-like thing, a stiletto in design. The hilt had engravings running throughout it's surface, while the man flipped the previously bloodied blade so David could take it. "The assassin whom attacked Camella drove that through her shoulder."
-
"Yes..." he recalled how the attack began. David took and inspected the blade
-
"Anyone with that sort of blade seems to have some sort of wealth. And anyone with a stiletto and poison.. this was no ordinary assassin." Armillion muttered, looking at Camella silently. "The issue of threats to my rule has always existed. And now, with this war.. these past events must be connected. The Tribune are planning against us, and using my family as bait to draw out my rage.. it's a cruel strategy, and it's working."
-
Edited by Splashback77: 1/7/2018 5:49:55 PM"What a shame," he muttered. "If they are to use that tactic. We must create a countertactic. They probably have spies feeding information, to them."
-
"My biggest fear is that these spies have disguised themselves amongst us, but.. I need you to investigate Trayve's hierarchy. We will discuss this later, but for now.. I suppose you would wish to visit Camella for some time?" Armillion questioned, studying the runes upon the dagger before then returning his gaze to Camella's slowly stirring body.
-
"I would wish to visit her," David requested. He looked to Camella. He watched her, carefully, and with concern.
-
Camella's body rocked a little with brief movements, before her green eyes would then flutter open. She looked around the room, rising up as her eyes found David. "Where.. am I? David, is that.. you?"
-
He smiled, "Yes, it's me." "How are you feeling?" He asked.
-
"...I think there's still a dagger in my shoulder, for one. And like there's something about to explode in my chest, but.. I feel fine, thank you. Alive, that's all I can ask for." Camella rose a little more, her head against a white pillow. "You saved me.. how ironic. I thought I was supposed to be some.. impenetrable shield. I would've died to some D-tier assassin or.. whatever that was, if you weren't there."
-
"I'd give them a C at least. The blade was poisoned," David decided. "I've never seen the Dark-Drinker break another blade."
-
"The sword you wielded, right? It's.. well, big. Impressive." Camella wouldn't understand a "that's what she said" joke, to be brutally honest. "Armillion.. he told me that his son was taken shortly afterwards. Is that.. true?"
-
Edited by Splashback77: 1/20/2018 3:52:24 AM"I have no idea," David admitted, "Maybe not exactly after, but. Yeah, he was taken." Suddenly a folded up piece of paper appeared in his left hand. He looked down at it, "Amethyst, what's this?" "I got in from Lunar. I must be a letter from Sarah. You said would keep in touch," Amethyst replied. David opened it up, and read through it. After a few minutes he said, "Oliver's no longer in enemy hands."
-
"...Prince Oliver? That's.. amazing! Except.. heavily problematic.. Erm.. who is Sarah?" Camella questioned, crossing her arms in interest.
