For The King Chapter Two - The Wrath of the Lion
Closed.
Bells. Ringing, over and over and over. It made Armillion's head throb. It made him tighten his fist, his old, rugged fingernails digging into grisly, strong palms. It made his face tie back into an angered scowl, like a lion baring his fangs in the face of a rival to his throne. Only, this rival had took his son. The Golden King left his mighty keep with the haste of a brewing storm, as his four - no, now rendered to three - golden knights would accompany his side. His cape fluttered in the brewing winds as he walked, down those high stairs and down to the city, where the common man and woman had begun to wait in their panic. Their king stood upon a podium, resting his large fists upon it's marbled surface as the crowds of gossip fell silent. Though that King would not wait for such silence. No, he would release his rage, here and there. "-My youngest son. Taken from his home, and captured by this hidden enemy, enclosed within the maws of evil. My knightess, Camella. Taken from her duty and rendered to a hospital bed, poison swelling her heart and holding back her justice. My youngest daughter. My eldest son. The men and women of Trayve. Your fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, sons, and daughters - slain or taken by this Tribune! Yet, even in darkness, we shall not falter. We shall grab this evil Tribune by the throat and strangle it, and for every death that they have caused, we will return it sevenfold! For every murder they have committed, we will unleash justice with more fury than they could imagine! Today is a day of lions, not sheep! Today is a day of reckoning! Today is the day that we will show these filth what war truly is!" Such fury was an unrelenting, terrifying thing. ---------------------------------
For Pants.
Cain and Lilly soon found themselves upon a carriage, amongst a massive caravan of soldiers, with mighty ships following in the rivers beside them. They would have to travel continents, in order to reach their destination. Sparking conversation and understanding the situation at hand. Additionally, gathering info on the land would be beneficial. ---------------------------------
For Splash.
David had an invitation. Armillion had requested to meet the Titan again, only this time with Camella amongst them. He had quite literally asked the Titan to meet his partner, to investigate what had happened in the first place.

 • “It seems pretty sensible to have you two get us disguises.” Lilly would say. “But I’d had to put you both in danger at our expense...”

 • "Hey, we're used to danger. Trayve isn't exactly all sunshine and pretty gold palaces.. except it is, on the bad days anyway." Well, Edwin was an odd, foreboding individual already. "But if you are staying here.. you might want these." He would reach into a satchel before retrieving "Edwin's Top Secret Maps - Guide to Friends (And Enemies Too)". "Just so I'm not found dead with 'em, if we.. well, fuсk up, to be blunt. That whole map covers this place.. I think. And before you ask.. yes, I've been out here before. Weren't you asking the captain on the ship about that or something?"

 • “Yes I-“ Lilly halted her speech and her eyes went wide. “Wait, How could you have known that?!”

 • "You catch on, good. You think we're the only spies out here? You've got eyes all around you, princess." Edwin didn't intend for "princess" to sound offensive, as he would scratch the back of his bald head. "Anyway.. unless you two have more to ask, we should be heading out."

 • “Uh...no! I-I think we’re good. Right Cain?” Lilly asked her brother, who nodded in confirmation. Lilly was a little uncertain of there being spies...everywhere...but then again, she was one of those spies, so it should not have really been THAT weird. “Let us get on with it.” Cain put bluntly.

 • "Welp, see y'all in a bit. I'd take a look at the maps.. they'll definitely help." Edwin would nod towards the two, as he would pat Lu on the shoulder and nod towards her. The two would then move on, through the thick blankets of forest and trees. Returning to the small encampment and being lead to their tents, Cain and Lilly had enough time to study the maps.

 • Cain almost immediately committed everything he saw to memory, as his training as a soldier made it so knowing the terrain was critical to a missions success. Lilly meanwhile grazed over it, more interested in the art of it if anything. “So? What’s the news, brother?” Lilly asked Cain, trying to get some insight as the warrior looked over the map again and again.

 • The terrain of the land, as described by the map, was spectacularly flat and coated in forests, according to the key in the bottom right corner. The very left of the map - where "TRIBUNE CAMPS" had been labeled - was more hilly, even mountainous though, while those higher steeps were likely hidden by the thick fog of the wilderness. Rivers ran from the mountains to the coast of the land, considerably close to "TRAYVEN CAMPS", allowing for a way to get closer to the Tribune if necessary. To the very north, there was an "OFF LIMITS", accompanied by a bright red "X" in the center. Something of value, maybe?

 • “The tribune has taken a defensive position in the hills and mountains.” Cain told Lilly. “While they have a more defensive position, the travyens seem to have prioritized an offensive flank rather then something else.” “So....” “So if the tribune really is evil, and the cleric lied to me, we would eliminate the leadership in the settlement and be quickly backed up by reinforcements. Relatively speaking.” “Eliminate...? Cain?” Lilly question with a worried tone. “The only way this war could end is with the total elimination of leadership on either side. So yes, eliminate.” “Couldn’t we...couldn’t we just capture them?” “For what purpose? Questioning?” “I...I d-don’t know. I just...I’m hoping there’s a peaceful solution to all of this still. I guess.” Cain looked at his sister, confused by her thought process. “Peaceful solution...?” “So like, victory by having both sides agree to peace. Rather then violence.” “How do you propose we do that, Lilly?” “I...I don’t know! I have no idea! I’m really just hoping, t-that’s all!” The girl exclaimed. She had no idea how to go about bringing peace, but she wanted it nonetheless.

 • Peace would have to wait, for a short time anyway. An alarm horn would ring out, shortly after Lilly's final sentence, as the sound of boots stomping against the coast's muddy landscape was heard outside. Shouts accompanied the movements of the soldiers, as one peeked into the tent. "Sir Cain?" The shocked soldier bowed his head. "L-Lady Lilly. There's a.. commotion.. Commander Lee requires your presence at the command tent. Preferably.. right now, sir. And ma'am."

 • “A commotion? Lead us to Commander Lee, then.” Cain would say, taking initiative. Lilly raised her fine dark brow in confusion, but followed the group anyways.

 • As the two stepped out of the tent, a fireball soon flew overhead, slamming into a row of tents that were beside them. The soaring flames reached high, while a man approached the two. A.. fairly old man. "Commander-" "Gods damn these Tribune!" Lee interrupted his messenger entirely, though for good reason. Lee was certainly old, perhaps in his sixties or seventies, yet kept himself militarized and primed: he still seemed muscular, his face both shaven bald and his chin without a beard, while his eyes, as dark blue as they were, came to Cain and Lilly. "There you are, Coldbourne - meeting's cancelled, I've got fires to be putting out. It's a damn trap, Tribune must've caught on already. I told the captains that this was a trap in the making, but they didn't listen!" Odd. That a captain wouldn't follow instructions. Lee had begun to assist the efforts in drowning out the fire - Lilly could certainly work with him for a time, while Cain could initialize a retaliation to the Tribune attack.

 • “I-I’ll see what I can do!” Lilly would say, running off into action to help with the flames. Cain looked wide eyed at his sister as she ran off, and then drew his spear as he looked at the commander. “Where do you need me, sir?” Cain asked Lee, ready to end the ambush single handily if he had too.

 • "Commanding a retaliation, that's all I need from you at the moment-" Lee was interrupted as another fireball flew above the camp, another groan escaping his being. "Damnit.. With how much Freya talked about you, I'm hoping to the gods above that you can handle some siege engineers and their few guards, or hell, hold off whatever force they're sending at us!"

 • “Very well. Point me to a location, and I’ll gather a small force to drive these ambushers back!” Cain would yell to lee over the commotion.

 • "Looks like it's coming in from the west.. MAVOR, GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE AND PUT OUT SOME FIRES." Lee had.. a certain way of commanding troops and demanding immediate attention, as what looked like a service officer would bumble over and attempt to assist, alongside his few patrons. Mere seconds afterwards, and Cain found himself with a small group - thirty men and women, that Lee had yelled into action, and even they were accompanied by thirty more. Sixty. That would be an impressive number to command fluently.

 • Cain had an idea about how to deal with such an amount. “Alright. Soldiers! We will establish two groups. Me and twenty of you will move west in a head on assault. While we distract the enemy, the other group must move around our attack and flank the enemy, preventing escape. Everyone understand?!”

 • "Affirmativa!" Came a sole response, as the rest of the troops would then assume an orderly fashion, breaking apart into groups: one of twenty, another of forty. It was up to Cain now.

 •
Rip, sorry lol
To the west, the Trayven encampment ended at a row of trees, while in the distance, hills and small mountains raised above the encampment. They would have to take pathways up, in order to attack the siege machines.

 • “Damn...”. Cain would say softly to himself. If the group was subjected to moving up the mountain his plan would not work. It was a head on mission, that was all he could think of. However... “Men! Hold position for a moment!” He commanded. “They have established a very defensive position upon the mountain range. I can only see one path from here leading to it. However, I believe there should be another path leading up to the same position. So, I will take Thirty men with me rather then twenty, and we will move up the main path. In the meanwhile, the other thirty must find the second path AS FAST AS THEY CAN. If no path is found, quickly make your way back to the main path and act as reinforcements! Note that the forest is a perfect place to ambush us, so be on your guard! Let’s move soldiers!” Cain would tell everyone. The group would split off as he commanded, and Cain and his group A would make their way to the main mountain path, reaching the woods to do so.

 • As the first half of the group traversed through the darkened woods, another fireball soured over their heads, slamming into another portion of the encampment. All seemed silent on their end, as they faced no resistance, while Group B had been searching for a pathway up the mountain.

 •
Kk.
The main pathway up the mountain was rocky, tight, and narrowed to a terribly small passage, though one would manage still. Cain could now see where the fireballs were coming from - high upon the mountain, though too high to see the siege weapons themselves. Group B was making progress though, as they hadn't returned just yet.

 • Cain would look to the cliff face, observing it. He had too many men to climb with him... Oh. But he had an idea. “Travyens. This path is a death trap of those siege weapons aim down on us. So...I have an idea. While the rest of you make the way up the path, I will climb the cliff face. Hopefully I will cause enough commotion to keep eyes off you, allowing you all to back stab the tribune and beat them at their own game. How does that sound?” He asked his soldiers.
