Late Night
Behind the Bar...y’know, the one JT picks up chicks at and everyone goes to. It’s generic.
Several gunshots were heard, originating from a large handgun held by what seemed to be the leader of a small group of criminals. They all had surrounded a small, 5’2” woman. She shook in fear, wrapping herself up in her white cloak that covered the short, blue dress she wore underneath. Her silver hair blew a little in the cold wind, her deep blue eyes glancing around at all the scary men around her that had backed her against a wall.
The gun was aimed at the woman, but the bullets stopped mid-air, held in place by a strange blue aura. The group stared at the bullets in confusion for a second before shrugging it off, this was the Dojo afterall.
“Come on, I’d rather not have to beat such a beautiful face in, but...oh well. Come ‘ere, lil girl….”

Open. Join them, figure out why they want her dead, figure out why they want her dead and kill them only to go after her yourself, or defend her. Do whatever.
"No, not really. I'm still getting to know this place." She sighed. "Do you have any idea?"
-
Yeah. There’s a quiet seafood place not too far from here with some pretty good fish. A table for two wouldn’t have much in the background to distract us.
-
"That sounds great! We can talk and get to know each other better. Lead the way, Sapphire."
-
*She smiled and kept her arm around Silver, strolling to the restaurant. It was somewhat small, but quite clean and atmospheric inside. They had a table for two in the corner, one of only five groups of customers in the entire restaurant.*
-
Silver sat down with a smile, gazing around. "This is rather nice, Sapphire."
-
Mhmm. *She nodded, happily returning the smile. A waitress came up and gave them both glasses of water before leaving.*
-
"I assume you've been here before. Was it with a friend or something?" She asked, turning to look at Sapphire.

Edited by Skatch142: 1/6/2018 4:04:50 PMI have, actually. My daughter had never tasted crab before and I hadn’t either, so I took her here for her birthday. The food was really good.
-
"Oh, that sounds lovely. I can't imagine how happy you make her, I bet you're a great parent."
-
Oh thank you. I try to be the best mother I can for her. I didn’t really know what I was getting into at first, but it’s become easier. *She smiled as she spoke.* I think she would like you.
-
"You think so? Thanks. I've always been a kid sort of person, but of course I've never come close to having my own."
-
I didn’t think I was a kid sort of person, then Mari came along and changed that.
-
"Hmm. How did you end up adopting her anyway?"
-
She and her older brother moved to the Dojo after their family had been killed. I had recently befriended her brother when I found her terrified and hiding outside... He had been murdered and she was the only one of her family left alive... So, I made a promise that I would protect her and took her home. The rest is history. *Her smile had faded as she recalled what Mari had gone through.* She’s gone through too much, really... But she’s strong, and she’s happy.
-
"Oh..that sounds terrible." Silver sighed, before leaning over and resting a hand on Sapphire's. "At least you're making her happy now."
-
*She nods, taking Silvers’s and and smiling a little.* Yeah.
-
Silver sat back in her seat again. "I find it really amazing how selfless you were to do such a thing."
-
Thank you. I guess it does come back to what I did in the Sphirin navy, protect the innocent. *She opened her menu, scanning over the different options.*
-
Silver went over the menu as well. "Navy? You were in a navy of some kind?"
-
Edited by Skatch142: 1/6/2018 9:04:58 PM*She nodded.* Not a navy like the kind most imagine here, space ships instead of water ships. Our job was also to prevent or end war and to defend civilians, rather than actually fighting wars.
-
"Oh, okay. That sounds neat. I've never been on a spaceship myself."
-
It’s pretty boring really. Not much to do on one.
-
"Really? I thought the idea of being in space would be sweet. To see the stars up close..."
-
It is at first, but it gets boring after a while. What’s more interesting though are the alien worlds.
-
"Oh? I've been to plenty of alien worlds. They're a lot of fun, so many adventures!"
