"NO!"
The girl screamed out in panic.
"Please! I-I only have my clothes...I-I can give you so much, please! Don't help them!"
The leader of the criminals chuckled, gesturing to the knife.
"You have only a knife? I thought that thing was some sort of super weapon."

“You doubting my arsenal, scab?” Theodynn suddenly lost his amused, happy look, his eyes looking very serious all of the sudden. He flips the knife into the air, catching it on its way down, by the handle. He chuckles yet again. “If you really thing that this thing’s just a little dagger, go ahead and attack. We’ll see how many pieces my little dagger puts you in. Now, back to business.” He looks at the girl again, squinting. “What do you mean? I need tangible things, girl, not just words.”
-
"I uhh...Name something! An action! C-Can you set a price?" Silver sounded desperate as the criminals grew impatient. "Sh*t. It's hard to tell if you Dojof*cks are bluffing with your sh*t..."
-
“Heh. You owe me for this, girlie.” He turns back over to the men, his eyes now stern again. He flips his knife again, whistling a slow tune. After a few seconds, he catches the knife by the tip of the blade. “You’ve got a choice here, fellas. First, you could just leave. Take the wad of cash I just left on the ground, never bother this girl again. Second, you could attack me, and all be absolutely eviscerated and/or burned to death. The third option is to make a better offer. But a girl who has fancy clothes according to you, and can do some sort of memory magic shit? Sounds pretty damned useful to me...”
-
Silver sighed in relief as she slumped to the ground and sat. "What makes you think a few dozen of us with rifles can't take you down?" The group pointed their weapons at the rainbow man, the leader smirking at him. "She's useful alright, but she's not going with you."
-
He sighs heavily. Always with this bullshit, somebody doing a big bravado stand, acting like they’re the shit when they don’t get what they want. He would start laughing again, shaking his head. “What makes me think that? Well, let’s see, you’re a bunch of untrained poor men, I’m a trained mercenary. My armor can withstand sustained fire for a solid... Three minutes-ish? You’re wearing civilian clothing. I have weapons that can tear a man in half with minimal effort, you have some rifles. And... Well... Let’s not talk about that last one. It’d ruin the surprise. Now make your choice, before I make it for you.”
-
"We give you the majority of our weapons, $100,000 in cash, and you let us take the girl or at least take one thing from her per every one of us. That's all we've got." Silver began freaking out again. "D-Don't take that!"
-
“Yeah, don’t hit me with that bullshit. You just said you were poor and had no money. I’m literally handing you eight-thousand dollars on a silver platter, and you want more? When you divide it, that’s enough for a family of four to eat for months. Solves one of your problems, now doesn’t it? Now get the hell out of here before I change my mind and take the cash back. Whatever magic shit she has is probably more valuable then what you’re asking.” He approached the girl now, offering a hand to help her up. He whispers to her. “If you see me open my left hand, turn around. Things might get violent.”
-
"O-Okay..." She whispered back as the leader grabbed the money and gestured for his men to leave. They all lowered their weapons, muttering about "bullsh*t Dojo freaks".
-
Theo would chuckle yet again, the amused look returning to his eyes. His hand was still outstretched, offering to help her up. “Well? Come on, you’re burning time.”
-
Silver grabbed his hand and used it to help herself up, brushing of her short dress. "Thank you, so much!"
-
“Oh, that little promise of yours is thanks enough for me. I don’t do charity work, as you’ve probably guessed. Now that we have some time, put your offer on the table.”
-
"Umm..." She nervously shifted a little. "Wh-What do you want exactly?"
-
“That all depends on what you can do, and what you’re willing to do.”
-
She let out a squeal. "I-I uhh....N-Name it. Name something and I'll say yes or no?"
-
“Material things. Those are top priority. I wanna see it in my hands and be able to use it. Money’s good too. Or if you know of any way to make my equipment better. Or anything else you can think of. I take nearly anything as payment.”
-
"Uhh....I don't really own anything, but my clothes and they're really not worth much." She shook in fear. "Please don't hurt me..."
-
He rubs his temples with his thumb and forefinger, sighing. “So let me get this straight. You lied to me just so you would have a better chance at getting out of that situation? I was already on thin ice with those assholes, you would’ve gotten bailed out either way. There... Godsdammit girl. Now I’ve just wasted my time.”
-
"I have my aboilites, but you don't sound interested really...sorry." She gazed downwards. "I didn't mean to waste your time."
-
“What are your abilities exactly? I’m getting something out of this. Don’t care what.”
-
"I-I can let people vividly relive a memory, I can do that bullet blocking thing...kinda reliably, I can uhh make barriers, I can umm....I can teleport, but that takes a lot out of me if I do it too fast or too many times in a row and I need to be able to focus."
-
He sighs even heavier, looking actually frustrated at this point. He looks back up at her, his eyes suddenly bright. He clearly had an idea. “I know what you can do. I want you to meet my little robot, and be friends with her. Maybe she’ll get off my ass if she has a friend.”
-
"Make a friend?" She asked, confused. "Sure? That's not too hard. I'm just glad you're not a man with a sick mind..."
-
“I have enough money to buy any woman I want, I wouldn’t have to ask you for something. I’d just have gone somewhere else. Follow me, I’ll lead you to my droid. Her name is Rian. It’s an acronym for some bullshit, I dunno.” He began to walk off, a little deeper into Dojoville.
-
"Oh...that works, I guess." Silver was just happy she didn't have to as she followed behind.
-
Eventually, they would reach a black cylindrical ship, and Theodynn would open the hatch. “Head on in.”
