*Sapphire ordered some catfish, smiling kindly to the waitress. Silver could feel Sapphire’s foot brush against hers under the table. The the waitress smiled at the two and trotted off after writing down their orders.*

"Mmm....Just as comfy as I thought it would be." Silver rubbed her cheek against the warm fur happily.

*Sapphire began to run her hand up and down Silver’s back, enjoying being cuddled. Her legs intertwined with Silver’s as she pulled her a bit closer.*

Silver didn't mind, enjoying the feeling of warmth and comfort. "Sapphire, I wish I was as cuddly as you..."

[u]You already feel very cuddly, though.[/u] *She squeezed Silver gently and nuzzled her nose.*

"Thank you, but I'm not covered in fur." She giggled, smiling at Sapphire.

[u]Well, fur feels nice to smooth skin, and smooth skin feels nice to fur.[/u] *She gazed down into Silver’s eyes, smiling happily. Sapphire placed a hand on her cheek, holding it gently.*

Silver rubbed her cheek up against the hand a little. "Is that so?"

*She nodded, her head moving a bit closer.*

Silver stared Sapphire in the eyes with her deep blues, her smile not fading. "So..."

*She moved closer, their faces only about an inch apart now.*

Silver blinked, her cheeks red. She wasn't exactly sure what to do.

*She smiled. Though she had never kissed someone before, she knew how to do it.* [u]Close your eyes and part your lips a little bit...[/u]

"Umm....Sapphire...." Silver sounded nervous. "I-I...are you trying to kiss me?"

[u]Y-Yes?..[/u] *She pulled her head back, blushing and looking nervous as well.*

"I...Sapphire, I really like you, but I don't think I like you...that way. I'm sorry, I led you on, but I just felt your emotions this whole time and it messed up my decision making and....I'm so sorry..." Silver began to tear up, crying.

*Her heart sank and she sat up. She looked around the room, not really sure how to feel.* [u]You... W-Were lying?[/u] *Her voice wasn’t shaky, surprisingly. Her tone was flat, closed off.* [u]You touched my fur though, we were snuggling... You came home with me... The blushing... You did it because of how I felt?..[/u] *She paused.* [u]Do you... pity me?[/u]

"N-No!" Silver shook her head. "I-I just...! I don't know! I can't tell! I don't know what's me and what's you and if I'm biased or what!" She curled up into a ball. "I hate this stupid sensing...ugh!"

*Her tone seemed to soften slightly. Silver could tell that she was more angry than sad, but Sapphire was keeping it at bay.* [u]So... You might be, but you might not? The way I feel has been confusing you?[/u]

"I'm sorry...this isn't your fault..." Silver sniffled. "I-I just need to learn how to seperate emotions better. You're in the right to be mad."

[u]Then kiss me.[/u] *Her voice was soft and quiet now, sounding more gentle. She was still mad, but it was dissipating.* [u]Maybe it would be easier if we kissed. You know how I feel, and I think I have decent control over my own emotions. If we kissed, maybe it’ll help you to tell how you really feel...[/u]

"I...are you sure?" Silver sat up. "I don't know...it might make things worse with how my abilities work, Sapphire."

"Alright..." Silver closed her eyes and parted her lips slightly like Sapphire asked earlier.

Silver opened her eyes after a few seconds, blinking and remaining still with her lips still parted. "O-Oh..."
