“You’re still going to need to make some money. This is the best way.”
-
"I guess I'll make it a little slower. Though, I can get a second job to speed it up a little..." She grinned a little. "I think my friend Nat can help me with that."
-
“You gonna ask her for money or something? Need to do the work for yourself, girlie. No work doesn’t deserve any play.”
-
She giggled, shaking her head. "So many assumptions there. I was planning on getting a job through her connections."
-
“Job through a crimelord isn’t gonna be any better than my bounty-hunting.”
-
"Crimelord?" She sighed. "Stop assuming. It won't be illegal or violent."
-
“What? You gonna be a prostie?” He laughs, looking over at her. “Probably the worst thing you could do.”
-
"Wh-Why? You don't think I could?" She sounded offended now for...obvious reasons. "People love me."
-
“Just saying that I’ve been hired to clean up my fair share of chunks of dead prostitute. People don’t like to pay.”
-
Silver whimpered, now looking scared. "W-Well, I could protect myself."
-
“Yeah, but I was able to put my boot in your face even despite that. Actually... I have a proposition for you.”
-
"What's that?" She asked, looking scared of what he'd think of.
-
“I need someone to act as my clean-up crew. Clean up any collateral damage, you know. If something gets out of hand.”
-
"....I'm not cleaning up blood and guts. I'll vomit and make it worse." She responded.
-
“I didn’t mean actual clean-up. I meant social clean-up. Make sure nobody knows what they’re not supposed to. Basically I need a PR team.”
-
"Huh? Like brainwash or...?" She raised a brow, confused.
-
“I mean coverups for the more covert ops. Erasing my face from photos, making sure civilians don’t know who I am, that sort of thing.”
-
"I can do that, I guess, but I have no experience doing it...at all."
-
“Yeah, but you can probably play people better than I can. I’m terrible at being social.”
-
Edited by Stitch: 1/8/2018 8:44:19 PM"Well, I am good at that part, I guess. Fine. I'll do it if it pays enough and Nat can't get me something better."
-
“I make eight-thousand dollars per day on a bad day. You’ll probably find no better pay.”
-
"Yeah, but that's you. And you love money. I won't be getting paid that."
-
“You’ll be getting paid our agreed amount. One third. Plus you’re forgetting bonuses if you do a good job.”
-
"Bonuses? Huh. I'll try it, but anymore terrible...horrible things and I seek out Nat."
-
“Hey, upside is that you get to spend a little more time with Rian during work.”
