The sound of a blade being unsheathed sounded out behind them as the attractive yet deadly wandering ronin Suzume Hiroshi stepped forwards, a look of distaste and anger in her eye underneath her black circular jingasha hat.
[i]”If I were any of you, I would drop your weapons and flee... [b]Right. Now.[/b][/i]
In that instant, her uchigatana’s blade attained an ethereal golden luminescence, and Suzume adjusted her stance and prepared herself for a fight, tallying up her opponents and calculating the amount of bullets she may need to dispose of if they turned their guns on her. She closes her eye for a moment and takes a deep breath, channeling all of her focus and concentration into her opponent’s actions.

The dozen or so men all pointed automatic rifles at her, the leader pointing his weapon at the small girl. "How about you drop your weapon and we won't kill both of you."

Suzume narrows her eye at the leader and then ducks down low, rushing forwards and cutting along his side with her blade held backwards in one hand. She then moves to stand in front of the girl, and uses some of the energy stored within her sword’s blade to generate a protective barrier around herself and the defenseless girl. Suzume then angles her sword above her head and to the side, taking up a fighting stance and focusing on each of her enemies now, while she whispers to the girl behind her. “I will get you out of this, you will emerge safe and unscathed, and I apologize in advance for the display of violence you are about to witness.”

The instant Suzume moved, the men all opened fire at her, the leader shooting the small girl in the knee before being taken down by Suzume. The girl was currently laying on the ground, clutching her wound and screaming in pain.

Hearing the girl’s cries, Suzume channeled some of the energy within her blade into her the palm of her hand, her hand and only visible eye now glowing green as she slowly knelt down and presses her palm to the girl’s wounds, closing them and healing them quickly. Suzume would need to make up for the energy she used to heal the girl, which would require further planning on her part. After she healed the girl’s wounds, she gave her a reassuring smile and stood back up, turning to face her opponents yet again from within the barrier, her palm and eye no longer glowing green. She takes up a different fighting stance than before, counting down the seconds before her barrier dissipates in her head and formulating a plan to take down as many of her enemies as possible and in the process attain enough energy within her blade to generate another barrier to protect the girl.

All of the men fired at the barrier, making sure to time their reloads so more than half were always firing. The girl smiled up at Suzume. "Th-Thank you..."

“You are very welcome.” Suzume sighs and keeps note of the ones that were reloading, still counting down the time in her head until the barrier dissipated. She would need to take down the ones with loaded weapons first before she could do any more.

They swapped magazines pretty quickly, making the reloaders and those firing changing constantly. The girl whimpered quietly. "H-How are we getting out?"

“Do not worry, I will handle this.” Suzume brought the edge of her blade up to the barrier, preparing to shatter it as soon as every single one of her opponents had a magazine loaded at the same time. The very instant they all had a loaded magazine in their weapon, she sliced her blade into the barrier and killed it, then moved her blade up at an angle above her head, focusing everything on the movement of her blade for the next few moments. She would need to be absolutely precise and accurate, or else she would likely take a bullet or several bullets, or the girl would.

Well, there was constant fire so there was no time to really focus as the bullets immediately rained down the moment the barrier went away.

Edited by Nightingale: 1/7/2018 7:25:58 PMSuzume watched the bullets draw nearer and nearer, and in a quick instant she brought her blade to the side and in one quick swoop she delivered an arced slash that sliced nearly every bullet traveling towards her, the ones she missed hitting the wall. After she sliced the bullets out of the air, she quickly rushed forwards, slashing at several of her enemies and kicking another one to the ground at the same time. She made sure to keep them all occupied and focused solely on her, whenever one of them raised their weapon at the girl she would knock it from their hands or slice them down, and she also made sure to disable as many of her enemies’ weapons as possible, slashing them in two or rendering them inoperable in some other fashion. However, at one point she did lose sight of one of her opponents, and took a bullet to her shoulder. She took a deep breath and clenched her teeth in pain as this occurred, just before she turned and quickly cut the one who had shot her down. She continued to keep all of them occupied until she had disabled nearly all of their weapons. [spoiler]Tell me if this needs editing, I don’t want it to be too over the top that it seems like god-modding, because that’s not something I do. [/spoiler]

She probably knocked out a good half of the men by now, but the rest seemed determined. [spoiler]How fast is she moving to dodge bullets?![/spoiler]

[spoiler]Er...very? I probably should have thought this through more, but might as well stick with it now.[/spoiler] Suzume had by that point accrued enough energy inside her blade to generate another barrier, and she quickly slid back over to the girl and waved her uchigatana, causing another protective barrier to form. Suzume took the time to collect herself and plan her next move while she had a couple of minutes to do so.

The remaining men got out an RPG and some grenades, hands on the pins. They all kept their attemtion focused on Suzume.

Suzume sighs and holds her blade out in front of her, the blade glowing brighter and brighter with each second as she readies one of her special attacks, “Tenka Gokken.” Once her uchigatana’s blade had reached a blindingly bright golden glow, she stepped out of the barrier and brought the blade behind her, only to slash it with all her strength to the side, sending five beams of light in five different directions in front of her, each one traveling along the ground. From the looks of it, none of her enemies would escape the razor sharp beams of light due to their radius, and Suzume slowly stepped back inside the barrier, watching intently and keeping herself ready.

The second she moved toward the outside of the barrier several grenades were thrown and exploded in front of her. The instant she moved for an attack, a few of the men dived behind cover while the rest attempted to jump when the light on the ground reached them, trying not to touch it.

Suzume sucked back into the barrier very quickly, but the first grenade that went off had managed to damage her enough to affect her strength and attacks. She attempted to regain control of her breathing as the barrier slowly diminished with the force of the grenades being absorbed by it. After all the grenades had gone off and she had regained control of her breathing, she counted up her remaining enemies, and planned out her course of action. She would need to deal with the one wielding the RPG first.

Four remained, the RPG being the furthest away and behind a large metal trash dump. The other men held onto grenades, waiting.

Suzume looks back at the girl behind her and kneels down in front of her. “This may be a bit...violent. You may want to look away.” She then stands back up and runs out of the barrier, quickly closing the distance between her and the four remaining enemies. Once she was close enough, she focused all of the energy remaining in her blade into her next attack, and then she knelt down and swung her blade with all of her strength, spinning around as she does so. Her uchigatana blade erupted into golden light, and sends beams of razor sharp golden energy in every direction, which, from her current position, would wipe out the remaining four enemies. After she executed this attack she quickly stood back up and readied her blade, prepared to strike down any that remained.

The rpg was fired at her feet and the grenades were all thrown, aimed all around her location as if to stop her from getting away. The only one to get out of the way of her attack was the one in the back with the rpg.

All Suzume could do was roll out of the way, but the explosions still gave her several wounds and stunned her momentarily. She took a few moments to pull herself up onto one knee, and then she spotted the only remaining enemy with the RPG still alive in the back. She slowly and quietly made her way towards him while the smoke cleared, taking a more stealthy approach.

The man pulled out his rifle while she had been staggered, firing away at her. "Come on!"

Seeking a quick way to end this conflict, Suzume ducks down into cover and waits for the right opportunity to move in and attack. She quickly switches between cover, every so often, gradually drawing nearer and nearer to the final enemy.

"F*ckin' b*tch..." The man fired at the silver haired girl, who was now unprotected, blasting a hole through her shoulder and another through her chest.

Upon viewing this, Suzume grew enraged. Her blade erupted into blinding golden light as she vaulted over the cover she was hiding behind, sprinting towards her last enemy. She swiftly hacks the rifle in his hands in two with one quick slash before turning the blade to him and slamming it through his stomach, twisting the blade before carving upwards and then wrenching her sword out. She then turns back to the girl, running towards her as fast as she can after sheathing her blade. She slides towards her and is soon crouched beside her, green energy billowing around her arm and green light filling her eye yet again as she desperately works on healing the girl’s wounds. “I am so sorry...I should have been quicker..”

The small girl cried out in pain and agony, squirming around. "It hurts! It hurts!" She cried, tears running down her face.
