Target Practice There would be a lone shooter at the gun range, just outside the dojo walls. It was makeshift and humble, but the range was effective for anyone who was wanting to learn how to fire a gun. The shooter had on ear plugs, as well as the clear plastic goggles that hugged to his pale face and protected his bright blue eyes. Cain Coldbourne seemed to be making the steps necessary into modern warfare, it seemed. The tall ashen haired warrior fired off the rounds from the colt 1911 in his hand. It was factory made, and far from special. It seemed that it was one of the training pistols provided for those who didn’t have such weapons. So he fired, and then fired again. His stance was firm, his aim mostly still. As the humanoid shaped paper target slid on its rail back towards him, he let out a sigh as he looked at his results. From the 12 Bullets he shot, he fired eight around the arms and legs, which got closer with every bullet hole to centre. One was in the neck of the figure, while the last three were circling the centre of the humanoid target, just around the area the heart would place itself where this a real human being. Cain let off a huff, before ejecting the magazine and grabbing the box of nearby Bullets. He began to load the mag, leaning up against the table he stood behind before to rest as he did. "I've seen those before, a... hand.. gun correct?" Said a voice. Not too far off from Cain was a woman wearing an elegant victorian era dress with a face so white and flawless, one could have easily mistaken her for a porcelain doll. Her eyes held a very faint yellow glow while her precense seemed to offer a very relaxed sensation to those in the area. From the look on her face she knew what she was looking at but not quite how it worked.

  • “That’s what they call them, I believe.” Cain would reply, he himself new to the realm of fire arms. “...Who are you?” He followed up, asking the new woman who had shown up.

  • "Most have called me Ash" Her voice sounded very soft. The glowing eyes continued to focus on the gun. Her face didn't show much emotion but something about it intrigued her. "I have seen a number of people in the afterlife carrying something similar. Humans fight with them I have heard but never knew how or why."

  • The mismatched footsteps of an oddly gaited person were audible, if muted to the man with the plugs. With it, cane an amiable, if not worn voice. "Greetings." Was all the man said, waiting for the shooter to respond in kind we he seemingly watched

  • “Ah? Hello there, I did not expect to have company.” The ashen haired warrior commented as he looked up from his task towards the newcomer.

  • It was an old man, wearing the red and grey clothes of his place of origin, slightly torn, worn, and padded in places so it acted as armor. On his back was a curved sword, a sort of collapsible staff, and a blunder buss "What kind of weapon do you have?" He asked, even as Cain saw his peg leg and good leg

  • “I believe they call this a colt.” Cain told the old man, gesturing to the pistol beside him. “It is...just a pistol, really.”

  • "a rather....advanced pistol, wouldn't you say?" He added amiably as he admired the gun "Seems a fine weapon to me"

  • “To me, Yes. However if you were to ask some of the others here I believe they would say it’s rather old.” Cain would say. “Anyways...What brings you here Sir?”

  • "Nothing, just stretching my old legs. I am not as spry as I used to be." The old man replied dryly, watching the target

  • “Ah. I see...” Cain finished loading the magazine and slipped it into the gun, pressing a button on the wall which sent Cain’s target back 40 yards.

  • "Wouldn't you prefer a rifle?" The man asked, shaking his head. Even if Cain could pull it off, he knew that it was foolhardy to attempt such tricks in battle

  •
okay I see
Cain would put in his ear plugs, then begin to take slow shots. He took his time with each one, as if he was wanting to make sure he wasn’t being too hasty.

A man enters the shooting range, he is average height and has a brown light coat on. His right arm is completely made out of metal and has a blue light in the center of it. Above his left eye is a tiny robotic implant. “ I’m Jase. Care if I join you”. Without waiting for a response he flips his pistol into his hand and fires off 6 quick shots at a target 3 hitting in the middle of the targets head, 3 hitting in the middle of its chest. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/241616727/0/0/1 Link to Jase.

  • After a moment of watching the men enter and fire at a different target without warning, Cain furrowed his brow to the new comer. “I...believe it doesn’t matter what I “mind.” Considering you just did...that.” The ashen haired man said, referring to the figures target.

  • “I do, I think?” The figure told Jase, excepting his apology. “I am Cain, pleasure to meet you.”

  • “You too” “ you might want to stand back a bit. With that Jase shoots at 7 different targets hitting each in the middle of the head.
by the way Jase is left handed.
•
All good. And I’m assuming you went to a different section of the range rather then right where Cain is standing ya?
Cain observed the man take his shots, before looking at Jase himself. “I see you’re rather adept with a gun. Where did you learn to shoot?” He asked the cybernetic warrior.

  • “I learned in a place called Las Angeles I was a special type of cop called a bladerunner. I learned mostly from teaching myself and experiences, most of them near death experiences”.

  • “A blade runner...so...you ran around with swords?” Cain asked. While some might think this was a sarcastic statement or a tease, Jase heard the man’s voice speak with utmost seriousness.

  • “No I honestly don’t know why they were called that kind of stupid if you ask me“. He takes a couple more shots. “But I wasn’t on the naming committee, I was on the shooting one”.

  • Cain would chuckle at Jase’s comment before sliding the magazine he had loaded into his 1911. He would hit the button on the wall, sliding his target back 100 yards. “Well, luckily you received training. I have been trying to teach myself for the last two days. Not many people come to this range, so I was rather surprised to see you show up.” He would explain.
