In Dojoville, a small crowd had gathered in one of the plazas. Mostly because, in the middle of this courtyard a man standing on a table and speaking to the people.
"For years, the Dojo has stood on top of those mountains. And for years, they have brought enemies to our doorsteps and fought them in the streets. They have fought them in our homes and so many of our people have died." There was a mumbling of agreement through the crowd, which was quickly silenced as the man raised his hand j to the air.
"This is not their fault. It is our own. We chose to create homes here, and we choose to depend on the dojo. No longer. We must depend upon ourselves, only we can save our people from death!" The crowd looked around, uncertain at the words of the man. Though, a few were hollering at this point, excited to see where this speech was going.
"We will create an armed forces, dedicated to protecting the people of Dojoville from threats small and large. We will do this by calling upon the create Infinity Corp, who's own words are 'Protecting Takatai, no matter what.' It is time for them to live up to those words!" The ground exploded into cheers, and the man smiled broadly as he stepped down from the table and shook hands with the people in the group.
Open! Talk to the man, or ask the people in the crowd who this is.
Haven't made a post in a bit, but I thought I might as well bring a plot with it. Say hello to my first political character.
"Yeah, sure. I don't see why not. You can get in contact with me through Infinity Corp. right? Well, we'll figure it out. I should probably go and dispose of the corpse."
-
"Of course, of course. Please, don't let me keep you. It was a pleasure to finally meet you, Miss Lyn. I look forward to tomorrow." He took a step to the side, motioning so that she could walk past him.
-
"See ya, Mal." She picked up the tail before continuing to drag it god knows where.
End?
A voice shouted up from the cloud. "So you say we spend the few resources we have to spend on basic rights such as healthcare on the one thing the dojo gives us. Not rebuilding our homes from the mild disagreements of dojoites? Not building a justice system that cannot be toppled by a tranquiliser gun and a snide comment by a dojoite? Not making a police force that does not resource on collatiral-heavy dojoites acting simultaneously as judge, jury and executioner for the pettiest of crimes? But making ourselves an army when we live next to a veritable legion of space wizards?"
-
"What good are space wizards if they cannot protect us? We would not have to rebuild our homes if they were not destroyed in battle. We would not need a government if the people of the dojo set rules upon our lands!" The man retorted, looking around for the speaker. "With my campaign, I plan to be the first ever officially elected official in Dojoville history. If I can, I will change the very fabric we have grown accustomed to. We will have a government, and laws, and police. We will live as other civilizations before us have, we will live." "So, do not assume to know the full bearing of my plan. Do not assume to know what I will be like."
-
The speaker was a middle aged man in the middle of the crowd. "And what if one day, the dojoites don't like the fact they can't kill anyone they don't like? Do you really think rousing speeches and a petty army will help you then?"
-
"If the dojo turns against the people of the village, their true nature will be revealed. The people are the one constant through these wars. We will continue to, even if they turn against us. Our strengths lie in our wills. Our resolve to stay and survive."
-
"bullshit. This time, answer my question."
-
"Our 'petty army' and our allies will fight against those that seek to persecute us for finding a voice. There are members of the dojo who would never harm the villagers. There are some that have, and have been executed as a result." "So yes. I believe all our efforts will help in fighting against the tyranny of the dojo."
-
"And what guarantee can you give us that the dojoites won't just continue with their own brand of justice?"
-
"I cannot make any such guarantees. The only thing I can reasonably say is that if we do not try, if we do not fight with every fiber of our being... Then perhaps we should stay the way we are. Us, fighting for a voice and for some kind of power shows them we are still human, we are mortal and we have lives. It's high time they realized that, and allowed us to fulfill those lives. I make no guarantees they will not have their our brand of justice, it is impossible to guarantee that. The same way it is impossible to guarantee the dojo will never be invaded again. "

You know how you have the word man and it’s a link to a guys picture, how do you do that?
-
There should be a tool bar above your keyboard. It changes the font of your
text, and also provides spoilers.

It leaves this quoted area.
Most importantly, it says "link." You click on '"link" and it should pop up somewhere like http://www.example.com. You removed that link, and insert your own. Then, in between the two dashes] [ you insert the word.

Ok thanks

He taps someone on the shoulder and says “ I don’t mean to interrupt but who exactly is this guy speaking”?
-
"Who is he?" The person, or rather woman her had tapped asked almost snidely, shaking her head. "That's Malcolm Darimon of course! The man who will save us from damnation!"
-
The man would then walk up to Malcom and say “excuse me sir I have a few questions about your campaign”.

Edited by Royal Blade: 1/16/2018 2:43:04 PM"Just a moment." Malcolm smiled at the dragon, shaking hands with somebody and saying his goodbyes before extending a hand to the dragon. "Malcolm Darimon. What questions do you have?"

Edited by ImaDrizzit: 1/16/2018 2:51:42 PM“How exactly do you plan on building this army, also who are the Infinity Corp I’ve never heard of them?”
-
"The Infinity Corp are a group that reside on Takatai. Their goal was to protect against foreign armies, but instead they turned to monster hunting. If you haven't heard of them, you haven't been here long enough." "This world extends far beyond the dojo. Beyond the planet. We will built an army of the people who live throughout. On the Burning Isles, the Celtic Isles, in Ollimand, in Kakusa. You understand the point."
-
“I understand but how can you afford to pay for the army’s equipment, supplies, bases, and training”? “Also this planet is a dangerous place without proper training your army would be doomed.”
-
"The Infinity Corp has millions of credits in reserve. And besides, it's as if we cannot gain more credits. Once we have a good amount, we can start building. Of course, we'll start small. So that we may gain traction. As for training, I'm sure there's plenty of people within the dojo who would jump at the chance to train our forces. Even then, we can simply find and hire one's that are already adequately trained." Clearly, the argument was well thought out.
-
“I guess I could be one of those people who can help train your army.”
-
"Perhaps. What are your proficiency levels in firearms and blades?"
-
Edited by ImaDrizzit: 1/16/2018 3:42:04 PM“I’m not really trained in firearms but I do have about 500 years of experience with a sword.”
