The reign of lions, come to a halt,
The siege of freedom, stopped at a fault,
For in the kingdom of Khaom, as the false ran amok,
The true dragons rise, amongst great Ragnarok..
-Foretelling of "Ragnarok", twenty-four years before this day.
Khaom, 3:45 PM
"Ragnarok!"
The ancient bells of Khaom, now relieved of their shells of dust and cobwebs, had fallen silent, without another booming ring. The mighty war horns of the warmongering city had been cut short. Only the screams of the false had pierced the skies of Khaom, amongst the crumbling of once standstill structures and the rise of a mighty dragon from beneath.
Ragnarok's wingspan stretched far and wide, casting a blackened shadow down upon the city's southern half as it rose, before a short moment, where it's obsidian mass would block the sun out entirely. The rays of sunlight would return as the creature would them fly back down, fluttering it's now stretched, leathery wings as it would streak downwards, it's massive tail fluttering behind it's being like a ginormous chain of flesh and darkened scales. A deep gurgling within the creature's throat broke the eerie silence, before flame - a deep, almost blackened flame, with traces of the red heat of fire yet within - would reveal itself through the creature's neck, as Ragnarok glided down towards the city. Towards the screams of those who feared it's unrelenting wrath.
Finally, it would open it's maw and release a blazing shower of abyss black fire, eating away at the buildings that were caught in it's wrath, devouring the lives and bodies of the civilians and soldiers that had attempted to flee. Ragnarok would rise up, releasing a bellowing roar that almost sounded as if it was.. laughing. Laughing, amongst the screams of the dying. A terrible creature, truly.
"What.. is that thing?" Rue murmured, upon her knees as her eyes widened at such a creature. She looked down at the ground, thinking, before her gaze would return to Traci then.
"Time. I need time. I need a distraction.
L-Liz. You can.. you can handle a ballista. Right?"
Meanwhile, Charla hung onto Fabio's legs as the two flew throughout the eerie city, with the elven woman's eyes glittering at the sight of the black flame. In the distance, Fabio could see a feeble attempt - archers, rows of archers, planning to fire upon Ragnarok. Catapults and trebuchets had begun to be revealed, stationed upon the towering stone walls of Khaom's city.
It was true chaos, to say the least.

He flew low, and towards the archers. He wanted to take them out. Let Ragnarok obliterate with little resistance. He screeched as he flew straight towards the archers line, dropping Charla and flying to place where he could shift.
-
Charla would crash down and begin to sever limbs from bodies and heads from shoulders, in her violent dance of steel and blood. It was.. one hell of a sight. Fabio had an issue, though. After Ragnarok finished it's swoop, it's obsidian eyes found Fabio, as the hulking dragon would trail after him.
-
He swooped to the ground, then fell onto it. He panic-shifted, as he yelled, "N-n-no. No. No. No. No! Nooo! Bad Dragon! Bad Dragon." Unfortunately, he shifted to a female dragon he was panicking so bad.
-
Fortunately, Ragnarok wasn't necessarily attracted. Though it did feel as if this dragon intended to threaten it's domain.
Red Zone! Basically a reply where you might be able to die.

Yeah.
The beast hovered over Fabio then, those mighty wings flushing with deep blood as the creature's neck gurgled, black fire churning within. Fabio had best get running.

Edited by Splashback77: 1/17/2018 2:58:20 AMHe flew away from the dragon. Fabio would fly away as fast as he could. F*ck. F*ck. F*ck. F*ck.
-
Ragnarok was.. well, more distracted by the dragon that Fabio had become, more than anything else, as it had then released a flurry of blackened flame at where Fabio once was. It missed, instead eradicating a few buildings. The dragon swooped down, still following Fabio as it roared, attempting to drive Fabio off from it's.. territory, one could presume.
-
Fabio kept flying away, trying to get away from the giant Ragnarok. Leave me alone. I'm flying away. See? I'm fleeing. Leave me the f*ck alone.
-
Ragnarok wouldn't understand that, before another trebuchet shot slammed into it's being, sending the beast crashing down to the earth as it landed upon Khaom's towers and buildings. It seemed stunned, while the trebuchet only began to reload.. and aim towards Fabio.
-
Fabio screamed internally. He just, dropped to the ground, shifting into a spotted stallion, and galloping as far away as possible. I don't wanna die! I don't wanna die, he whined.
-
The building next to Fabio crashed down, though no rubble fell upon him, as Ragnarok flew above him and headed towards more of the siege weapons. Fabio, meanwhile, had to traverse through the flames of the city.. Though in the distance, in a clearing, he saw a one-armed woman.. creating a ballista of stone, formulating it into place. Such a weapon could bring down Ragnarok.
-
He attempted to gallop around, finding a way out of the city, avoiding crumbling buildings. Fabio would keep trying to think of a different form, not much different. I don't want to shift too much. Maybe I can be a horse with wings. You know what, f*ck it makes since. Suddenly, the horse sprouted a magnificent set of white, spotted, wings. Fabio the horse was now Fabio the pegasus.
-
There weren't too many ways out of the city, except for "up" - above the walls, he could safely exit and run. Though.. dealing with the ballista woman would save his payment from Charla.
-
F*ck the payment. Fabio flew towards the wall.
-
Fabio found little to no resistance, as he escaped the city without payment or what he was promised.
Fin. Rip.
-
"Go for the ballista or charge the dragon and draw its anger to me? I think the second one wastes more time, Rue. All I have to do is dodge and block, right? Lots of rolling too..." Traci gazed at the dragon, shaking her head as more memories of her past ran through her mind.
-
"I-I can create a ballista.. a-and I think the Khaomites are doing their job well, with distracting." Indeed, one trebuchet shot would hit Ragnarok's side, though it did little but anger the beast. It roared and sprayed more black fire upon the city - at that moment, a great bird dropped a woman down. The woman, in a garb befitting of a Khaomite, began to slaughter the siege weapon engineers. "...We need to take her out, give the Khaomites time.."
-
"I'll take her out first then? I'm confused, dragon or the woman?" Traci watched the woman and the bird.
-
"Probably the woman?" Rue responses, beginning to mold and craft the ballista itself as the woman continued to cleave through the engineers. "I think I can give you a boost up there. Just.. start running. Towards her. This is gonna take effort, ugh.."
-
"Rue, try not to die until I get back..." Traci ran toward the woman, slower than when she had ran out of the tower, with her sword in hand.
-
"...Don't intend to die at all," Rue murmured, groaning as she pressed her hand against the concrete. Rocks would begin to extend outwards into the sky, forming a pathway for Traci to take - one that lead straight to her foe.
-
"Thanks, Rue..." Traci quickly ran across the platform, silently moving before jumping at her foe with her sword swung.
-
Her foe in general was indeed a female, robed in a light purple jacket as she turned back to face the leaping Traci. Only, she raised her shortsword, catching Traci's weapon with the weapon's curved hilt, as she met her face-to-face. Her face was angular, in an intellectually sharp manner, with beaming brown eyes and curly red hair. Only, those eyes were filled with a manic insanity: this woman wasn't right in the head. "Hello there," She smirked, before she brought her left hand back - within it, was a dagger, aimed for Traci's stomach.
