Just curious because it seems like I'm the only one around here
If you do, what genre/branch and what artist(s)?
As for me, I basically listen to any EDM (except trap, I can't stand it) and listen to most of the mainstream artists
Monstercat never disappoints, though, I always end up there for awhile
Obligatory trending edit!! Wow, first time

Edited by Psyntifik: 1/29/2018 3:40:00 PMSaltillo - Blood and Milk. Yes. Mostly trip-hop, but I'll listen to anything. "Midnight In A Perfect World" by DJ Shadow has to be one of my all time favourite songs. https://youtu.be/InFbBlpDTfQ

The thing I like about EDM is that it can fit so many different moods. If I want something calm I'll usually go for tropical/deep house or Porter Robinson. I think he's doing some new stuff right now, Virtual Self if I remember. Whatever that is. Cash Cash and Major Lazer, their last 2 EP's are some of my favorite. I'm also a fan of a lot of people on OWSLA/Mad Decent. I don't know what it is, but those 2 record labels just give off a nice vibe. I guess they were just my first experiences.

I ONLY LISTEN TO RUSSIAN HARDBASS, EDM IS FOR THE WEAK YOU CAPITALIST SWINE.
ANU CHEEKI BREEKI IV DAMKE
Ear damage magnet? Neve heard of them

The only electronic music I really listen to that isn’t some obscure darkwave shit is this 80s revival stuff that’s going round.
-
Not often. I mostly listen to the best genre.
Rock
I can listen to it from to time (mostly just when going out. Find it more pleasant to listen to EDM than going somewhere where they play nothing but ‘top 40’ songs playing and having some random sweaty drunk guy pretty much grinding your back) but don’t have a favourite genre. Some songs aren’t my taste, some others are but it’s not something I can listen to every single day.

I recommend Marshmello JOYRYDE Oliver Heldens Destructo Bassnectar Skrillex (his hip hop stuff especially! It’s lit AF!) Deadmau5 Datsik

Yes! Finally someone who understands. This is what I am listening to right now

2014/2015 me loved EDM, but then realized... "Huh... Its kind of shit"
it's still kind of a guilty pleasure of mine every now and then.
I've been listening to EDM for a while now. Started listening to Dubstep (or "Brostep") back in 2011 when Skrillex blew up in popularity. From there, I started to branch out and listen to more Dubstep producers like EH!DE, Zomboy, Spag Heddy, et cetera. Started to branch out into other genres like Electro, Drum & Bass, Riddim, and House. Around the middle of 2016 was when I started getting into heavier, aggressive Dubstep (i.e. Subtronics, Sub Artillery, and Kadaver), and Deathstep shortly thereafter. I honestly think Deathstep is my favourite sub-genre of EDM and I could talk about it for hours. I just love how bone-crushingly aggressive it is.

Bump
whats EDM
I only really listen to the good songs from 1930, 1940, 1950, 1970, 1980 and 1990. The early 2000s were a mistake for music, the only current things I listen to are the songs you hear in trailers.

Edited by Braythor: 1/26/2018 7:43:57 PMKinda depends what you mean. I know that might sound daft, and so is some of what I'm gonna say, but bear with me. Do I listen to and love electronic dance music? Yes. But where I live we call it that, we don't call it EDM. EDM is considered a sub-genre, and is generally looked at as being all production and no talent, designed purely to make money. As for the electronic music I do like, it's breaks, drum and bass and jungle, in that order. Even pushing 40 I still love a good rave, and though a lot of people there are often half my age, the DJs are my age or older, which makes me feel good in a way. Tomorrow I'm off out to see Deekline, Serial Killaz and the mighty Nicky Blackmarket.
